Ready for RESOLUTE 30th Anniversary Party!
Bud Miller makes the wheel for the first test drive!
Finishing details: Hood straps installed. Springs given final arch. Radiator cap and gas cap welded out of scrap aluminum. Tach made from old clock glass. Seat cushion sewn. Tail number applied.
After a long lull, back to work on the Miller. Party coming up!
Full size buck made to original Miller blueprints
What!?
A real Miller frame!
The residents get to know their new home.
Painting is underway.
The residents are Shetland sheep. Inspiration for the decorative scheme is an old Norwegian chest.
Scroll work is installed front and back.
The theme of this project is cheap and cheerful. Much of the material used for construction is scrap, extras, etc..
Vintage teak screens rescued from dusty storage were utilized for the windows. Rear step handles were cut from wire delivery bales.
Decorative scrollwork is cut on the router.
Wood is stained “Colonial Maple”.
Starting to cut in windows.
Putting the roof on. This will be covered in builder’s felt and aluminum flashing.
Roughing out the 1/2” plywood box.
And now for something completely different…
A SHEEP CART.
Quick mass study. The cart will be built up on a small utility trailer.
Cyclekart racing... It's a thing. It's unusual, inexpensive, kind of wild and lots of fun. And one small town in Washington state is all about it. Welcome to the Tieton Grand Prix.
