“No, it’s been awhile though - I went a lot as a kid, my dad loved taking me. Though by the end of the night he would be sick off candy apples. I blame him for my dessert addiction, really.”

“Well, at least we all know who to blame when you eat all the chocolate frogs” she laughed “My mums a muggle so we use to go to carnivals in the muggle world whenever they were around and my father would take us to the wizard festivals, im surprised neither of them ever got sick of it”

“’S all I’m asking for.” Happily making her way over to the line, Mary did her best to not act like a child in a candy store. “Have you ever been to a fair before?”

“Maybe one of the rides that’s close to the ground?” Benjy gave a small laugh looking around for one that didn’t look completely dangerous.

“Hmm what about bumper cars?”

“Hush, I'm trying something and you can't interrupt me or I'll get distracted”

“I don’t think you understand Millie. This isn’t just one of those times I can do anything for my friends, I hate heights. I can’t go on that.”

“Oh come on, you dont have to look down” she said, following it with a sigh “Well, Im obviously not going to make you go on it. So, is there a ride you will go on?”

“I. Do. Not. Like. Heights. I’m not going on that bloody death trap. I may be a Gryffindor but I’m not out of my mind. There’s a difference you know.”

Slowly finishing off her bag of cotton candy, Mary stared up at the fireball ride with excitement. It was the closest thing to being at an actual amusement park, and the ride always been her favourite - which was why she looked at the person beside her with a huge smile. “Will you go on it with me?”

“Are you mad MacDonald? I’d fuckin die before I went on that thing”

“So it was just - natural then? You’re so lucky, I have to work so hard to appear as laid-back as you.” Pausing for a second, Storm slowly shook her head. “No, not really. Great effort, though.”
