Adrian took a deep breath. This was the first time he was going to see Milo in a while. The two shared a brief period of time together in Australia for Milo’s birthday, but other than that, that was it. Adrian missed the man more than anything. He was his best friend. Yes, they had plenty of benefits and were trying out this dating thing, but he was always a friend first. Adrian wanted to surprise the man but he really didn’t know how to do it. It was why he showed up Milo’s door. There was no grand gesture that he could make. Adrian knocked lightly on the door waiting for a few seconds. When Milo did open the door, he let out the biggest smile he could manage. “Spero che mi hai perso tanto quanto mi see mankato.” Adrian tried his best to say, probably messing up severely. “Ah, tell me I didn’t say something wrong. I’ve been working on that for weeks.”
Milo had been in bed when he heard the knock on the door. Arguably, fighting his way out of the cocoon he had created from his duvet, followed by lazily stepping his way across his apartment, wasn’t the best look he could’ve answered to; the man on the other side made Milo forget all about what he looked like. His face lit up immediately upon seeing Ian. It had felt like years, despite being just over a month since he’d gone to Australia to visit him. “Mi sei mancato, tanto,” he pulled him in for a kiss. “You did perfectly,” he grinned, looking deeply into Ian’s eyes, not wanting to look away from them for even a second.
