Open RP: The Rocwell Diner
They were absolutely gigantic, but she didn’t resist the urge to poke his large fingertip with her tiny one, probably making a temporary dent in the clay man’s skin, but she’d gotten comfortable enough not to worry.
Laughing, she decides to play along, nodding.
“Yes. You should contact your local…Uhm, sculptor, should you find a t rex femur, or ammonite inside your chest. And don’t get me started about mineral deposits” she says, keeping a semi-serious tone, until her grin breaks it.
“Yes please. I think I’ll need another , I wouldn’t wanna steal your time without dining at least”
Milo's cheery disposition suddenly dropped a little bit, like a bad memory was brought up in that big brain of his. He then put a smile back on and shook his head "Oh don't you worry about that, you can stay as long as you like! You're not taking uo my time at all, most people come in here with a date or a friend, I try and make those who come in alone, welcome and comfortable. Really..." he grabbed her basket for fries and went in the back to put more in the fryer. Talking with her from the open window "You're doing me a favor. I don't get to talk to many people once the diner closes for the night"
The not-so Lonely Golem
And so, Milo Rocwell rushed home and began his studies. In the end it took him two years of trying and several failed attempts before he struck luck. He felt ready now to make the perfect companion. He collected enough clay and had all the magical workings out and ready for him. To make a companion as big as him, he would need lots of clay and lots of time.
He choose the color of clay was used for the color of his lips and stood in front of the big pinkish red blob. He thought he knew what he wanted. Then he looked at the blog and decided that the frame he once wanted, didn’t suit this color of clay. The person he wanted to sculpt didn’t deserve this soft clay. He looked at the big pink blob and sighed. Staring at it for hours before he finally saw a face. Then a body, then hair, eyes, arms…and finally; A future. With a big grin and a fist full of clay, he went to work.
First came the frame of the body. During the day he worked the diner, and at night he worked in the apartment upstairs on his new companion. He talked to them. Spoke words of kindness and hope. Made them know that when they were finished they would be loved beyond all comparison. He thought of all the things they could do for him. They could finally make him a happy man.
The organs took longer, he wanted to make sure they were as healthy as could be. The legs were his favorite part. Making them long and smooth which brought a soft blush to the golem’s cheeks. Each body part was enchanted so that it all works together like a beautiful machine. Once it was all said and done, each body part was slowly put together and smoothed into place. The head and face were made after the rest of the body was put together though. He wanted to make sure he designed their face to match their body well. Every detail was exact to what was in his head. Legs matched pelvis, head set atop the neck, and arms to the torso. When the whole body was sculpted to the exactness and detail that Milo wanted he sat back on the stool in front of it.
“There” He sighed out and looked at his creation. There stood a plump, but very beautiful lady Golem. With thick thighs, a curved torso, and a smile that would strike him to stone. Dimples rested on her very chubby cheeks and he just..fell for her. Hard “You’re absolutely beautiful”
Milo finally stood up and looked down at his creation as she was just a few inches smaller than him. She would fit him like a missing puzzle piece. He finally had his companion “Now to complete you” Milo pulled out a piece of blessed paper and began to recite a prayer that he memorized, writing down the incantation and finally, his name at the bottom. He rolled the paper up and opened her mouth to gently slip it in. With one finally magical touch he stood there waiting for her to open her eyes. As moments passed there was no sign of life, and Milo’s heart sank as he slumped back onto the stool “Ohh, I failed…I am no sculptor. Josiah you were so much better than I” He hung his head low and sulked. He would be alone forever now.
Finally a sharp gasp broke the silence and a pair of dark eyes opened wide to look around at the world for the first time. Milo looked up to see the female Golem look around at his messy apartment. He slowly stood up and looked down at her in awe “Who are you?” She spoke softly.
“My…I…” He stuttered like a fool “My name is Milo” He looked into her dark red eyes and smiled happily “You’re beautiful” He gasped.
“Milo?” She touched her lips tenderly like she knew his name was on her paper. She then jolted and looked down at her sculpted hands in awe “Who am I?”
“You’re a Golem, like me…You’re made out of clay” He took her hand slowly to show her he meant no harm “Your skin is made out of my lips, so that you’ll always know my touch. Your eyes are made from my skin so that you’ll always recognize me. Your lips are made from…from the softest and prettiest red clay I could find, so that your voice will always be enchanting…and your hair! it’s made from the darkest earthen clay I could find. To make you unique, in every way possible” With every word spoken, Milo was falling faster and harder for the thick beauty in front of him. She stared up at him with blinking, curious eyes.
“What is my purpose?” Her last question hit home for Milo. He asked the same thing when he was first created. Josiah’s answer was to protect him and his shop. Milo’s answer was a little different.
“To make…to make me happy” He smiled softly. He realized that up until now, he was being selfish, and he would explain to exactly how she would make him the happiest man on earth.
“How can I do that?” She tilted her head.
“By smiling once in a while” He lifted her chin with his massive thumb and looked down at her “You don’t have to smile all the time, I know first hand that not every moment is a great one. But you have to put on a smile once in a while, and show me that all my hard work was worth it” He looked into her eyes, so perfect and colorful “I want you to be happy. Pursue your deepest desires, and smile while you do it” He took her hand and set it on his massive chest where his heart would be “That’s all I could ever ask of you”
Slowly, and quietly, she nodded to him. She understood what he wanted from her and knew she could do that. She needed his guidance that was for sure, but she knew that with his help she’d be as great as him “I won’t let you down, Milo” She then smiled big and beautifully. Just like her.
Seeing her smile brought tears to his eyes and Milo nodded to her, planting a tender kiss on her forehead and then rubbed her cheek “Thank you”
“May I ask a few things of you, Milo?” She whispered up into his soft green eyes.
“Anything! You can ask me a thousand things!”
“What is my name?”
Milo gasped and he slapped the top of his head “I forgot to give you a name!” He groaned and looked at her again “We’ll sort that out soon, you’ll eve get to pick your own name. Promise” He looked down at her and then blushed deeply “Oh and clothes! We must get you clothes!” He rushed over to a dresser and pulled out one of his T-shirts and jeans “Here, We’ll go shopping for you soon enough but this should be good for now…” He then turned away from her so that she could get dressed.
Curiously she looked down at the clothes and did her best to put them on. When Milo turned around she had her shirt stuck on her head “Oh dear…” She groaned.
Milo chuckled deeply, finding her adorable as he helped to slip the shirt over the top of her head “There, better?”
“Much” She giggled softly and rubbed her shoulders like she may have been cold. Fresh clay was always cold so he wasn’t surprised.
“You’ll get used to the cold soon enough” He rubbed both of her shoulders to try and heat her up “There, Anything else?” He thought on it and smiled “Warm tea, you’ll like Tea! It will warm you up quickly…come sit down, I’ll make you a cup while you relax” Milo ushered her over to his couch and then pulled a book from his shelf “You may not be able to read yet, I couldn’t, but you might like the pictures. Just..uhh, Occupy yourself for a little while, okay?”
Nodding slowly the newborn Golem looked down at the book and opened it up. Flipping through the pages. Milo stared at his creation for a time being while he walked to the kitchen. A big smile on his face. She was simple, and very spacey for the time being. She was new to this world and only knew what basics Golems knew when coming into the world. Other then that, she was still learning. So naturally it would take her some time to get used to this world. Milo eased his beating heart as he made them both tea. His excitement reached a boiling point at this joyous occasion. He would be lonely no more. He finally closed his eyes and thought of all the time they could spend together. Although he found love in her, he would never force something that wasn’t there. If the day ever came that she found love in him too, he would be even more happy then now, but if it never came and they only stayed friends, or companions, or even business partners, he would be happy then too. He was just glad to no longer be lonely.
Once Milo came out from the kitchen he saw her standing at the book shelf “Gwen” She turned to speak to him “Like Guinevere, from this” She held out his Legend of King Arthur book and smiled at him “I like that name, it’s pretty like her”
A warm smiled stretched across his lips and he walked over to her, handing her the hot cup of tea and nodding slowly to her “Gwen it is then” He rubbed her cheek softly “You are pretty like her, by the way”
“She’s a queen though”
“So are you” Milo smiled at her “You’re my Queen, and I will do anything for you”
“anything?”
He nodded “Anything!”
Gwen looked down for a moment and then nodded slowly as she looked up into his eyes “Smile once in awhile and show me how it’s done” She grinned and stepped closer to him “I want you to make me happy” Milo looked shocked for a moment. She asked him what he asked of her. It was only fair after all “Show me the world, and make me smile, so I know how to make you smile too…”
Milo blinked at her for a moment and then slowly raised his hand to her. Her dainty small hand set on his big palm and he held her hand close to him “I won’t let you down, Gwen”
“Welcome to the Rocwell Diner!”
The Lonely Golem
Every day he works and watches new and old customers come in and out of his restaurant. Most of the time they’re with some one else, so he tends to have brief conversations with them. Nothing long, but nothing too short. He never wanted to seem rude. Though one night in February, it was a particularly busy night. Almost no one came in alone. Every one had a date, every one had some one special. This was his first Valentines day.
Months pass and he decorates his dining tables with holly and mini Christmas trees. Almost no one came in that day. Every one was at home with their loved ones. He didn’t even celebrate Christmas. He, like the man that created him, Celebrated Hanukkah. He only decorated because he knew the neighbor hood he lived in mostly celebrated Christmas. This was the first night in a long time, that the red Golem giant…was sad.
He hung up his apron that night, and went in the back to play some music and read yesterday’s newspaper. His heart was heavy, and his room empty.
6 days later was the eve of the new year, and with the previous decorations taken down and new year decorations put up, Milo Rocwell tried to put on a smile and see the new year as a new beginning. He was at the start of something good, he just knew it! As the night went on and his customers cheered with the countdown, sadly they had all turned to their loved ones to share in a new year’s kiss. Once again, it seemed like Milo was the only one with out a companion. That big red smile, turned slowly into a big red frown.
It was like this for five years after that night… Every holiday meant for family and loved ones, was spent alone and weary. In the back room of his diner, with a newspaper in hand and music playing in the background to drown out the silence. It was a lonely existence for one of the only Golems left. With no Sculptor to show him the way, he was left alone.
As the years went on, Milo had discovered new friends. His loneliness seemed to fade for a time being. There was this, particular blue skinned mutant that caught his attention for the time being. She let him come over for tea and they took care of each other. She provided company, and he provided good food and a shoulder to cry on. They were close friends for a long long time.
“Can I see it?” One night over a cup of earl grey tea, sitting next to him cross legged, was the blue skinned mutant named Nula. They were just talking about how he was created. From several different types of clay and a magic piece of paper with the name of his sculptor at the bottom. And now…She wanted to see it.
“If I take it out, Nu, I’ll die..” He thought over his statement “Well, not die…but I can’t move or be…living with out it. It’s the magic that keeps my whole body working. Clay organs and all”
Nula shook her head and set her cup down “Don’t take it out all the way, just enough for me to read it!”
Milo looked at her and sighed, her curiosity would always get the better of her, and he couldn’t help but find that endearing. Nodding slowly, the red giant lifted his tongue up and leaned forwards for her to look at the paper in his mouth. Very carefully did she pull it out, and just as carefully did she unroll it just enough to read it. Not pull it out all the way.
“Josiah…Huh? That must have been his name” She then squinted and gasped “Milo…Under his name it says..MILO!”
Milo pulled back, paper and all and slurped it back into his mouth with wide eyes at his friend “It says…my name?” As she nodded, Milo sat back and thought about it “Before he died, he must have made me my own sculptor…”
Nula, with tail swaying and tilted head, she frowned “What does that mean exactly?”
Milo looked up at her “It means…It means with proper training and self dedication, I could form my body however I like” He shrugged softly “Being a trained sculptor means that I can sculpt clay and enchant it to move and breath” Suddenly the golem’s eyes flashed open wide and he gasped sharply “I can create another Golem!” He came to this realization and heard Nula echo his gasp. Big smiles on both their faces.
“You can make another you!” She squealed wit ha bright smile on her pouty blue lips.
“I-I can! But…they wouldn’t be as detailed as me, though?” He frowned again, but then shook the thought out of his head “No matter what they look like, They will be of my own kin and that is enough for me”

Just right for her really. Ignoring someone a little pushy, to get right back to food, perfect. Finishing up her fries and shake whilst he looked around, she hummed to herself at his question, deciding to shrug again.
“I think we just find a mutual interest in being strong on a pole and old” she joked, hoping he didn’t feel bad about making her jump, it was a habit.
“I wish I could get my voice that loud, mine breaks when I try to shout”
Milo let out a deep voiced but heartily warm chuckle. He was like that lonely neighbor that had like forty cats but always made sure you weren’t stuck out in the rain or hungry. He just always gave off a warm gently presence. Even if his skin was cold as stone “Agreed” he laughed.
He lifted his eyes up to his other guests. Watching them all carefully and made sure they were enjoying themselves. Though whenever Inc said something, he immediately turned his smile back to her “Must be a matter of lung capacity then?” He chuckled softly “You’re just a a little thing, but I bet behind your size you’ve got some great force. Me? Not so much…I may be a red giant, but I’m just a big softie. Couldn’t hurt a fly”
If it became known to her that he may possibly own 40 cat’s wherever he lived, he wouldn’t be able to get rid of her. She liked that he was so friendly, not that she’d had the misfortune of meeting many, mean people, but she liked meeting those of a gentler, quiet nature.
Made her feel as if she was speaking to an old friend.
His politeness wasn’t amiss either. Inc appreciated that whenever words left her mouth, he looked down to acknoeldge her. Not that she’d have found him rude for keeping an eye on his customers, but she appreciated getting a little extra ttention. Almost like a child looking for a little more praise.
“Maybe…And hey, you’re pretty right on that. When I push or, whack things, I feel pretty strong but..” she holds her hands to look at them, pouting “ I don’t have very big hands, so I can’t hold nothin’ big.”
His remark had her chuckling, getting a playful grin.
“I don’t know, amber caught enough flies…Maybe clay could preserve em one day too, when people are fossils”
Milo watched Inc hold out her hands and he laughed, holding out one of his massive hands himself. Wiggling his fingers a little "Not as great as you may think...these fingers can't do the simplest things. Like dial numbers, hold a pen..." he sounded like he could go on but he retracted his arm and shrugged "Guess the grass is always greener on the other side, huh?" He chuckled again deeply.
Milo's eyes went big and he started to laugh even louder "You telling me I gotta start watching out for fossils forming in me?" He teased obviously, but couldn't pass up her comment. He didn't seem to be bothered being made out of clay, infact he had a pretty cheery disposition on a lot of things they talked about.
"Before I forget, anything else I can get you? Another thing of fries maybe?"

“Ah, your clay dries a little..?” she assumed that’s how it worked, she supposed that was an interesting sight, the opposite of a tan. Glad to have remedied her lack of any proper greeting, she was glad her hand hadn’t been lost in the golem’s huge palm.
“Thank you, I like Milo…It’s unique too! I’ve never met anyone called Milo!” she replied, ignoring quite how dorky that sounded, but it was true, and she liked to speak her thoughts.
“Might I ask too, how long’ve you had this place? It looks, so shiny outside. We don’t have diners like this where I’m from, all the cafe’s and stuff are, always old looking”
Milo chuckled and nodded softly “Just a little…I think it’s called pre-greenware or something. Anyway, the heat makes my skin dry out like everyone else’s just makes my skin lighter…kind of like a reverse tan” he shrugged.
He smiled, he thought her dorkiness was a tad endearing “I once knew a guy who had a tea cup pig named Milo…but that was about it” he then rubbed the back of his neck with a nervous chuckle “That was odd information, excuse me”
“Huh? Oh!” He looked around and smiled “It’s actually brand new, I bought the diner off some other guy, the building has been around since the fifties, but I’ve only had it for about…3 months now I think?”
That sounded like it’d be interesting to observe, if she came back here more often, which she actually planned to now that she knew there was 1 good place to eat at. There were probably a few more, but this place seemed to have much better company.
“Eh? Don’t apologize, I’m sure I’ve given odder bits and pieces of things to people” she laughs, brushing off his apology as she grins “ I used to have a pet crow, but a tea cup pig sounds like it’d be cute! I always wanted to have a pet cow someday”
An odd choice given the vast number of magical, un-normal critters out there, but she liked to think practical. And the only other decent, milk giving animal would be a human, and she didn’t wish to be more of a weirdo to society.
“Oh really? But the paint and, metal n’ stuff, huh. Maybe it’s just the stype then, all the newer cafe’s and diners where I’m from, they’re all modern, keep either dark colours or pastels as their scheme. They’re nice, but they make me feel like I’m eating in a stri-Night club”
Milo let out a deep throaty chuckle and nodded to her “Cows are pretty useful actually. I wouldn’t mind having a local farm or something around here…Fresh dairy products would be nice for business”
“You can say strip club, sweets” He chuckled again “We’re all adults here…I mean I’m technically 9 years old but i’m 35 mentally” He laughed and waved that off.
He looked up to see some one walk into the diner. What he did next might have caught Inc off guard, scared her even. In a deep deeeep, and loud voice, Milo shouted “WELCOME to the Rocwell Diner, Go ahead and sit any where ya like, I’ll get you started on something in a second” This person unveiled their hood and looked him in the eyes “Ah” Milo huffed and looked down at Incursu “Give me a second, hun…”
He went into the back through one door, and after a good 20 minutes came out the other with a glass of something dark red and thick setting it on the counter for this said visitor “9$” Milo said firmly “It was 5 last week” Milo simply smiled “The kind you want went up in price” It was obvious by tone alone, Milo didn’t favor this person “Whatever” With cash set onto counter, Milo snatched it up, stuck it in his apron and then returned to his previous companion “Sorry about that…Vampires can be needy sometimes if they don’t get what they want. especially that one” He explained “Where were we?”
It would be difficult to get fresh cream in the city, she knew. But she was sure chatting to a dairy place might help him out, after all, stockists for a diner weren’t hard to come by. Not that she knew anything about that, but she’d seen enough T.V to know vague things.
“O-Oh, I know. I just ah, don’t like talkin’ about them in the daytime” she admits, the etiquette books she’d raised herself on really solidified things like that, at times. Before she could say anything more for the moment, his big booming voice nearly made her fall off the stool, grabbing the table top’s edge as her heart raced, being done a bit of a jumpy frighten.
The next twenty minutes whilst he was gone, getting that big glass of blood, were spent awkwardly staring at the hooded vampire, complete, almost unemotional blank facing them. She had absolutely no clue whether to start conversation, so when Milo returned, there was practically no doubt she felt better.
Watching the moody customer leave, she shrugged and just blinked.
“Uh, something about you being 35 and a strip club?”
Milo watched over the diner for a moment. Seeing if there was any negative reaction to such a negative creature walking in. But when the other customers went back to their meals or their conversation, he smiled and looked back down at his smaller guest “Sorry about the uhh shock earlier by the way…I forget just how loud I am when I greet people…hope you’re okay”
He then chuckled “Strip clubs and e being 35? How’d we get on such an odd topic?” He laughed and leaned against the bar.

“You’re not what I was expecting.”
“I’m not going through with this and you can’t make me.”
“Look, I’m not any happier about this than you are, but why don’t we try and make this work.”
“We don’t have to be in love, but maybe we could be friends.”
“Wow. I wasn’t expecting someone who looked like you do.”
“Arranged marriages are weird. All your life you’re told not to talk to strangers and then you’re asked to sleep with one.”
“I can sleep on the couch if you prefer.”
“How am I supposed to live with them when I love someone else?”
“You’re making me marry THEM?”
“Don’t you touch me.”
“It’s my parents. They’ve arranged me to marry someone else.”
“So how much was my life worth to you?”
“Uh… I know we don’t really have a choice, but will you marry me?”
“Why don’t we go pick out a ring together?”
“This doesn’t have to be forever. If it doesn’t work out we can always get a divorce.”
“Listen, my parents paid for you. You’re my property now.”
“Let’s start simple. What’s your favorite color?”
“The only reason I need you is make sure that my bloodline has an heir.”
“I will never love you.”

"Huh? Oh!" He looked around and smiled "It's actually brand new, I bought the diner off some other guy, the building has been around since the fifties, but I've only had it for about...3 months now I think?"

That sounded fair to her, it’d been a few months since she’d explored a good cavern. Perhaps, he might like the massive clusters, she was certain a few customers would feel the nice energy around the room.
“Sure thing, Milo! And heh, I wish I could, I can only use the little pieces, I ain’t delicate enough to cut pieces out accurately, usually just end up smashing the thinner, big points for lil bits..” she grins “ I carve wood pretty well though, maybe I’ll bring some over for you to see”
She nearly commented on her terrible skills at pottery, but realized it might be comparable to telling a human that she could ‘make a lovely cup from your natural tissues and flesh’.
Cocking her head, she picked up on the little bit of sadness, and thoughtfully bit her lip for a few minutes after he finished explaining.
“Hmm, well, if you’re ever out and about, I think you’d pass off as a really tall human! I’d walk along with you, maybe tell em you’re my distance cousin with an incredible growth spurt” she grinned, playfully drumming her fingers on the counter “ I gotta wear an eye patch or close my dodgy eye around people, since ah, the purple scars n’ the blue glow would scare a few. But I do like to make up little excuses.”
She moved to look more expressive, even moving her hands to ‘mimic’ herself and a person
“Oh what fucked your eye Miss Pirate?’ ‘I lost it to a shark, but I won a full setta teeth!”
Milo looked interested “That would be lovely, If you’re ever looking to sell any of your art work I could open up a spot for you in here” he gave her a small smile “Or hell, a gallery. I love art in all forms, I’d love to show case some” he shrugged “I’m a bit of an artist myself…My sculptor left me his pottery tools so I make nice bowls and plates” he laughed thinking about the time he messed his hand up and turned it into a nice centerpiece instead of reattaching it. He of course made himself a new hand.
He gave her another warm smile, the thought of walking out during the day sounded like a good idea to him. He then laughed…Loudly! His deep voice only made his deep chuckle louder. He rubbed his eye and shook his head “I love that. Perhaps I can call my appearance a bad sunburn and a case of giantism?” He snickered and looked down at her “You’re a sweet girl…but Me walking out in daylight is too much of a scare to people. It’s a nice thought though…” he thought about it again and shrugged “Maybe one day”
He then stopped for a moment and tilted his head “You know. I never caught your name, darlin?”
Smiling, she felt another surge of excitement, clapping her hands together, she decided to actually get back to her fries, before they got cold and soggy. She listened intently though, nodding as he mentioned his sculptor’s tools and the pieces he made, that sounded pretty cool, she wondered whether they looked practical or, like the strange modern art she’d seen here and there.
“I’d love to bring a few over, mmn, you’ll have to show me! I just carve a buncha animals and stuff, nothing practical” she chuckles, nodding as she agreed with him, but she did tutt “ Yeah, tell em you just had a bad experience with the french fryer perhaps?
With that, she gasped.
“Oh!! Sorry! I’m so forgetful sometimes, damnit” she huffs, looking grouchy with herself as she offers him, an unclawed, little hand “ Incursu Terrent! Small clawed fries eater! Nice to meet you, Milo!”
Milo chuckled watching her while she ate "I'd love to see em..." he looked back at his fryer and laughed then at his hands "You know...That would be even more awkward to explain?" He chuckled "Nahhh...my skin gets lighter in the summer, I'll call it a bad sunburn then"
He then laughed, cleaned off his hand on his apron and shook her unclawed hand. It felt like a dolls hand in a his massive palm "Well small fry eater...I am Milo Rocwell" he then let her hand go and crossed his arms again "It's been a pleasure to meet you, Incursu" he smiled at her "Nice name by the way...Unique! But nice!"

He got himself a chuckle from her, she wondered whether he’d contorted himself to look all, monstrous on a church wall. It was interesting, brought her hopes up that she’d passed one before, and just hadn’t known it. Made sense.
“Not anything like gold usual, I do find a lot of really pretty crystal’s though.” she smiles, finally taking a sip of the big chocolate shake “ Mmm…Mostly quartz and agate, they’re fun to crack open”
His question got a brow raise from her, but she suppose she’d made herself sound, more anti-social to the world maybe?
“Oh I go all over the place! Live out in a cottage so I do enjoy the odd little adventure, figured it’d be nice eating out tonight, seems like I made a good descision” she winks “ So, what might you do for fun around here? I’ve not had a good look around yet, any nice parks or um, other monstery hangouts?”
Milo smiled listening to her and looked excited "HEY, that's pretty neat, gold or not a treasure is a treasure! Especially good quality quartz...you can make jewelry out of that" He set his glass down "Next time you go mind picking me up some of those pretty rocks? I'd pay you for em"
"Well I'm glad you made it out here" he smiled a lot for he was truly a nice guy, and he was enjoying their conversations "That's why I opened up this place.. people like you and me can go and be ourselves. Not hide, and get a bite to eat" he looked around and then back at her "Well..." he sighed "my diner is the only place I know where monsters like me hang out...I on the other hand hang out at my friend's beauty parlor a block from here and if I'm not there there's this abandoned warehouse my other friend and her...heh, many siblings hang out" he looked down at her and actually looked sad for a moment "People like us don't really get to show our true faces a whole lot. So there isn't much thats...safe and fun" he gave her a soft smile "But, you'll be welcome here at least"

She could do a few more things, of course, but not indoors. It was rude to levitate or throw things indoors. Stronger than a body builder, but not ridiculously so, the little lady was a flighter rather than a fighter. And she preferred to just relax and eat anyway, though he did get a weak little laugh.
“Let’s hope you never get a real wraith in here, stinky rotty things” she shivers, taking a fry and lazily chewing, she listens to him speak about vampires with keen interest, her eye never leaving him. He managed to make her nearly choke when his skin absorbed the spoon, what had just!?
“W-Wha? A Golem?! I’ve never seen a, You before!” she breathed, almost like a child who’d just caught a glimpse of santa, or the tooth fairy. It took every inch of, basic manners to not reach out and squish a part of him. Inc had never encountered a clay person before, she doubted she would anywhere else.
“T-That’s amazing, so that explains the cavey smell! You smell like clean earth!” she grins, goofily declaring her ‘accurate’ observation. He really did make her wonder though, how wasn’t there clay on everything?
And, above all, he’d made her really want to go buy some form of putty or playdough to satisfy her need to squish.
Milo laughed and rubbed his arm to smooth it out again “Well there’s not many of us left…we were built to protect people from the Natzi invasions all over Europe. Only the most skilled sculptors could use the kind of magic that kept us together. Since there’s no longer a threat, there wasn’t much need for us any more except for protection in bad neighborhoods” he shrugged and pulled out a rag to clean something he missed “Even then, making us is a dying art”
He laughed and looked at her throwing the rag over his shoulder to hang “I’ve never been told I’ve had a smell before…I hope it’s a good one?” He smiled and then looked at her eyes. He coukd see the curiosity in anyone’s eyes “Here”
He pulled his out and set it on the counter next to her “Feel it” he shrugged “Feels like real skin. Only cold and Hard yet maluable. My sculptor was great at making me feel like a normal man. All except the different colored skin the red clay, white clay, greenish grey clay…all that” he then held out his hand for her to see that every detail on him, was close to real human skin “Said I took 5 months to finish”
“Oh. I’m sorry about that then, I mean, I’ve never met a Golem before but, I kinda figured it was just because I might’ve just, not paid attention” she admits, swaying her legs from the stool as she ate, listening to him comment on the whole ‘smell’ thing. She supposed it never murt to be honest, especially when it was a compliment.
“Yeah, it kinda reminds me of when I used to go cave diving, well, more like exploring ones that humans closed off. You smell like the mineral deposits, all clay-ish, really clean earthy smell…Not like mud or dirt” and there it went, but she hoped that’d made sense.
As Milo decided to casually put his eye on the table, he’d get the most pale of customers at his bar. She rivalled a vampire at this moment, and decided to, politely decline.
“Y’know I th….I think It’s okay. But thank you, I’ll take your word for that, you look just like any ordinary human, just really tall”
Milo laughed softly as he watched her "It may be that too...I met another one hiding, disguising himself as a gargoyle because he didn't like people" he laughed and shrugged then went to the sink for a glass to get himself a glass of water.
"Cave diving? Never done it...it sounds interesting though, do you find like treasure down there?" He took a gulp and smiled as he turned back to her.
He rubbed his own arm for a moment and chuckled softly "Yeah, it's weird on a good day" he chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck looking around at the few customers in the diner "Well...what I'd a half wraith like yourself doing in this part of town?"
