Phew! It’s finally finished, I was so excited to hear @nicoledollanganger‘s song Beautiful and Bad so I could start on the actual drawing and she did now disappoint (though she never does anyway lol) Thank you so much for making music and doing what you love, Nicole, you are a huge inspiration to me and it’s been so long since I’ve made art I’m really really proud of. But I really like this one.

Holy crap Nicole! Your new version of aop was breathtaking, and the video was like something out of a dream. You are an amazing princess <3

i am so glad you liked it! remaking it was this really special experience because i played the original version for matt and i thought in my head that he’d feel it wasn’t something we could rework. i felt very scared about showing him. and i didn’t know how to explain how i personally saw it being reworked so i just started giving him these different scenarios, settings, locations, stammering stuff like “like red lipstick and a bungalow and really humid weather and ..you know!! that vibe!!” and he immediately started doing this really weird shit with his guitar and we began recording and didn’t stop for 17 hours. he made it into something i never thought it could ever possibly be and it’s always gonna be this weird and magical day that sticks out in my head forever. not trying to gush more about matt just wanna give credit where credit is due cuz he did some insanely beautiful and amazing shit on that song.
