Eek we are nearing $21k, I need to start sharing the new stretch goals! 😱😊 Thanks for all your feedback, I incorporated the most requested ones into my planned list, like sprite keychains and a video tutorial :) I’m personally super excited about the next one at $22k: it’s making the “ebook”/digital story experience much more animated and interactive. Imagine the GIFs from the Kickstarter page but even more movement as you scroll thru the pages, and maybe things like when you find the sprites and tap on them, something happens✨✨! Guys we did it!!! 🍕🍕🌵I am so beyond thrilled and excited and grateful and just endless OMG-ing. It really is more about the show of support and enthusiasm I feel from you guys that is making this such an awesome experience 🐰💛💛💛 Thank you so, so much. We’re well on our way to the FIFTH stretch goal now (I prepped this map pre-launch to slowly update, but it’s already almost obsolete😱). We want to start planning for fun additional stretch goals! Ok last thing before tomorrow morning- I think early bird perks are fun 🐣🤗 So (1) everyone who pledges early will have the option to have their name included on a specially-illustrated dedication spread printed in the actual book 🐰💛💛💛; and (2) there will be a few limited quantity tiers that include signed original drawings on post-it’s. Yes inspired by the Giant Robot post-it show I participate in 🤖✨ This pic shows *examples* from last year’s show; the ones through the Kickstarter will be LGE themed (silhouettes and sprites and plants)- just wanted to give a heads up here! 🙏 #illustration #postitart

Eek rushing around for launch prep but shouldn’t let this day go by without a little marker 🔖🎈 I started mimochai.com four years ago today. Four years! That’s an entire high school/college period! Wah. Working on more extra items for the story! Made a little glossary of all the LGE sprites by “world” ^^ 💛 I think they will be named by type like Sprout Sprite, Cloud Sprite, Star Sprite, etc. 🌱✨☁️ Do you guys have a favorite? 🐰 #mimostorylge

OK GUYS 💛💛💛 Remember when I asked for your input on what kind of perk items you'd like me to make for LGE? Wellll here's a peek at some initial pin designs I just finished (check the swipe!) ^^ It's a digital painting, not a real pin YET, but so exciting to see how it could be! I'm starting with just one of the sprites right now (they're from the last few spreads), all I can afford hehe but would love your thoughts! General feedback welcome :) In particular, these are supposed to be a pair of the same sprite species but one's light and one's dark (kind of like boy/girl). (1) is that clear? (2) if not, would it help if the background was the same just diff color scheme, + maybe a name? I do want to try to keep both poses. I can't get rid of one now :( hahah thanks for your input! #pins #aagghfhhghh

#OhWonder ✨✨ More updates ^^ The explorative styles from the first versions were def fun and helped me grow, but for book purposes it felt better to keep the kids looking more or less the same style :) Also an example of where I blended two panels together 💫 (BTW- a lot of people ask what Photoshop brushes I use. It's a mix, but a lot are from Kyle Webster, and as of today they are all included in Adobe CC! Crazy. A lot I haven't tried. Helloo time blackhole.) #mimostorylge #illustration #cosmos

Let go of the Plan 👉 One aspect of LGE I haven't mentioned is that I've woven in some 'future Easter eggs' throughout the book... just background pieces that hint at things to come in future stories. Hopefully it'll be fun to see it all connect down the line :) .. For this spread, I just re-read/listened to A Wrinkle in Time last week while working through these (it's been maybe 20 years for me... still sooo timely!), and you prob know The Little Prince is a big love of mine... and it made me think, hopefully one day I'll be able to share what's on all these planets 💫 Dimensions await... #mimostorylge #illustration #mysurrealities .. (PS- These smooth pano swipes are so fun! Easiest method I've found: all you need to do is have an exactly 2:1 image, make two copies on your phone, crop one 1:1 all the way left and one 1:1 all the way right.)

Float by the stars... by swiping left ;) ✨ I know I've been a little quiet here lately, sometimes I put my head down to do something intensive and time just flies by! But LGE: Book Edition is coming together, hope you've caught some of the updates in Stories. Just finished this sequence so only two more left! I've been turning many panels into two page spreads, which I realized fits nicely with the IG gallery feature :) Also decided to hand-letter all the text instead of using a font, thoughts?? #mimostorylge #illustration #mysurreality
