I am developing a ridiculous obsession with Miles’ English class--the site of his monologue on people not really caring what other people really feel and his first interaction with Esme and her scissors. I am especially obsessed with the kid who claps after the monologue.

I probably need some help, here. Or company. If anyone else is as fascinated by this class let me know.

Media Immersion meets the Rubber Room?

So I guess media immersion is back? And it seems to be combined with the rubber room? Or at least it’s taught by the lovely rubber room instructor and seems to consist of using technology to explore the same sorts of topics that last season were expressed through  role-playing and trust falls?

Speaking of which, how do you grade something like this?

Classes currently being taken at Degrassi seem to consist of this hybrid of confusion, Chinese, creative writing, and chemistry.

You don’t want to know how we feel. ‘Cause when people ask you to “express your feelings”, they don’t mean your actual feelings they mean the feelings that they want you to have because people can’t deal with dark or scary or weird. They want you to smile and say ‘Yeah, I’m fine. Everything’s great,’ because then they can just go on with their boring lives and never think about you again.
