THE WITCH DOESN’T BELIEVE IT but knows better than to try to argue with a human about the supernatural. she knew for a fact that the older buildings on the opposite side of the new ones used to be side by side. ❛ … you’re right. i must have just been- out in the sun for a little too long or something. ❜ josie begrudgingly explains.
“A little sun is always good,” the bookworm agreed with a smile before taking another bite of her sandwich. “Have you had a busy day then?” she pried, possibly a bit too much.

“why would you willingly run on sand?” he had to do it a lot during training - and deployment - so the joy of running along the beach was just a little ruined for him. “you got guts. i’ll give you that.” he let the shotgun disappear into black smoke. “what gun?”
Bridget couldn’t help but laugh at his question. “Closer to the water it’s easier to run on, softer than a road but harder than this loose sand,” she said, wiggling her toes in the sand. “I’ve also always loved running barefoot,” she admitted with a small giggle. “Thanks,” she said with a grin before shaking her head at him. “How did you do that?” she asked, genuinely intrigued.

Arthur was heading home from the gym, grumpy because he had broken his headphones during the day, and sore from useless clients. If you couldn’t do the exercise at that weight, why not say something, Arthur was internally grumbling. Saving people was not his forte and he had to do it more than once today. These thoughts were fully distracting him as he walked down the street, so when he thought he heard his name, he didn’t look up. It took the second time, much closer and much louder for him to bother looking around. “Merlin?” He called back in complete shock. His friend looked identical to the last time they saw each other and for a moment Arthur wondered if this was a dream. “Is it actually you?”
As Merlin caught up to him, he stopped for a moment to catch his breath. With a huge grin, he looked up at the sandy-haired man that he’d been worrying about whenever he had a free second. Merlin could barely believe it himself. “Yeah, yeah it is,” he smiled in response. He wanted to just hug him, but he was still catching his breath. Besides, he looked both confused and tired anyway. Merlin didn’t want to add to that. “How have you been?” he finally asked.

“Star Wars,” Connor said under his breath. The other was from star wars. He was meeting so many people that were from stories of movies. It felt weird now to have someone who did not really exist be right in front of him, but he was not going to let that show. “C-3PO? They don’t make those type of robots where I am from.”
Anakin just nodded a bit. “He has his pros and cons,” he said with a chuckle before looking the other being over. “I have to say, though, you look pretty impressive for a droid. I’ve never seen one look so human-like before. I mean... I have a mechanical hand, but I’m not droid,” he smirked as he took his glove off to show him. “Can you tell me a bit about your tech then?” he pried carefully.

The concern the woman voiced did not go unappreciated, but Castiel’s expression wouldn’t have given that away. Instead, he just gave a short nod in response. “I will be fine,” he answered, not so sure the words were true. His ‘condition’ hadn’t gotten any worse since he first started noticing the symptoms, but it hadn’t exactly improved, either. “I have been experiencing some mild headaches and severe insomnia.” Needless to say, he left out the parts about the voices, tried to play it off as something much less worrying than it was, not wanting to make a fuss. Besides, there was little the stranger could do, he suspected. Nothing else had helped thus far. “Thank you for the concern.”
Belle smiled softly as he spoke. She knew the feeling all too well, and it was one of the reasons she had gotten into reading originally. “Well, if you want any suggestions for that, I can help. I’ve known my fair share of insomnia,” she offered politely. Her imagination was so expansive that she had often been unable to sleep, but books at least allowed her to focus her imagination enough to drift off. As far as the headaches... Well, reading more so just distracted her from them.

“I’m like…70% sure this won’t explode on us…” Chewie looked at the part for the car he was working on like it was bomb in his hands. “The ticking is…normal…I think.”
Quizzically, Tarzan looked at the piece in the man’s hand. “I really don’t know much about this kind of thing, but... maybe we should find someone who is more sure because you don’t sound so sure,” he rambled as his eyes never left the contraption.

“so this being trapped on some strange magical island has really put a damper in my let’s go get my boyfriend back from hell thing.”
Tia couldn’t help but look up from her book at the words muttered nearby. For a moment, she couldn’t even think of something to say. Had she even heard this woman right? “Did you just say “from hell”?” she asked, hoping she had heard it wrong.

hands up - good sign. reyes let his weapon lower slightly, but was still tense, ready to act if she showed any sign of aggression. “there’s plenty of beach. no need to come to this part.” it was relatively secluded, which was why reyes had decided here was where he was going to brood think. “you’re very talkative for someone with a gun pointed at them.” he liked that. girl had guts.
B rolled her eyes at the man’s comment. Considering he was lowering his gun, she saw no additional reason to fear the situation. “Maybe I like walking the entirety of the beach. Usually I run it, actually, but I didn’t feel like it tonight. Looks like a good thing I didn’t,” she stated, staring at him a bit more. “Well, until you shoot me, I still have things I want to say,” she admitted. “Like why are you on the beach with a gun anyway?” she asked pointedly.

“See... what?” the woman asked, looking over her shoulder. She’d been so focused on the student in front of her that she hadn’t been paying much attention to anything else going on in the hallway.

“ it’s fine. ” he assures, once he’s made sure both he and the woman are steady on their feet, “ we all have those days, but i’m relatively sturdy so no harm, no foul. ”
“Thank you,” she replied with a smile. Belle couldn’t keep her cheeks from flushing as she looked up at the man. “I suppose I should be thankful for that too. I hope I didn’t keep you from getting anywhere,” she continued.

Connor’s face fell feeling broken. He let go of the other and ran a hand through his hair. If Belle did not believe him now, what was he supposed to do to make her believe then? “A robot. Like a….. robot?” He knew how stupid he must’ve sounded. But how was he supposed to explain what robots were? “I am an android. I was created with the purpose to do things humans did not want to do anymore or could not do right anymore.”
As soon as the words left his lips, all Belle could picture was science fiction. Robots as she knew them weren’t capable of being as much of a human as he was, were they? With a sigh, the detective just shook her head. “But.. how?” she managed. “You’re so... well, so human, and the only kinds of robots like that are fictional,” she rambled as her eyes fluttered, thinking as quickly as she could.

RAPUNZEL DIDN’T MEET MANY PEOPLE who showed interest in her well being during the time she’d been on the island. or well, she didn’t meet many strangers like that anyway. so hearing the other woman’s question made the former princess to stop on her track and turn her head towards her. ‘ oh, yes. i just discovered how clumsy i’ve been while i finishing up a painting. ’ she chuckled.
Belle smiled at the answer, but by the end of it, her interest was peaked. “Painting?” she asked, nodding as she looked the woman over. It all made sense now. “Are you an artist then or just working on a project?” she quizzed, following the lead of her own curiosity.

(¸.• ♛ → “I’m fine, I mean, no harm done.” Ali says with a small shrug and besides, she was also a bit distracted right now that to be honest, this girl just showed up there out of nowhere in her eyes. “Are you okay, though?”
"Okay, good,” the detective replied with a small smile. Belle shifted her bag back over her shoulder as she reassembled herself. “I’m okay. I’ve just got a lot on my mind. Usually I’m paying a bit more attention,” she admitted softly.

“Of course,” the blond confessed. “Otherwise stuff can just get in the way of life.” She totally just bottles it up and makes it seem like all is okay.

“GOOD NEWS FOR YOU,” The wizard said from behind the bar, finishing the final steps of his cashing out before giving the other a smile, “I just finished my VERY first shift as a bartender which means that I’m in a good mood and willing to cover your drink…IF…. you join me.”
Merlin had just sat down at the bar when he caught the glance of the bartender. He couldn’t help but smile at him, but he was still caught off guard when he started speaking. “Oh... oh, you don’t have to do that,” he said, looking away quickly as his face flushed. “I suppose I could join you though. You probably need one after dealing with all us drunkards, huh?” he teased with an attempted smile.
