Watch: This is the kind of crap female sports reporters have to deal with every day
While male sports reporters are typically judged by their commentary and analysis, women in the same industry face far more superficial and sexist scrutiny. It can feel especially bad when seemingly âfeministâ publications turn their back.
Gifs: HBO
the amount of shit female sports reporters have to deal with is unreal. Â Julie DiCaro has written about it extensively.. and of course, been the recipient of nonstop harassment because of it.
This never stops being relevant and good

People gather as El Cajon police shoot unarmed, disabled Black man.
Alfred Olango, a 30 year-old Black man, was fatally shot by police in San Diego suburb on Tuesday, September 27. According to the police they were called to the scene after being told that a man was ânot acting like himselfâ.
Olango was allegedly walking in traffic, ânot only endangering himself, but motorists.â
His sister witnessed the shooting and was recorded crying hysterically at the scene and told officers her brotherâs name is Alfred Olango.
During a press conference El Cajon PD Chief Jeff Davis said that no weapon was found at the scene.Â
Needless to say that two officers involved in the shooting were placed on paid leave.
People gathered at the Broadway Village Shopping Center Thursday afternoon and started demanding to get answers from the El Cajon police about the incident. Dozens of people were shouting âBlack Lives Matter!â and âHands up - donât shoot!â
