game idea for hikes and also other walking related activities:

The Cryptid Trackers

▪︎ before the hike everyone comes up with a name for a new creature

▪︎ the goal is to find little signs of activity of this creature throughout the hike and make up new lore about it

▪︎ (for instance 'aha! this round hole in the tree is clearly a sign of tvoyæstæra's presence! for you see it has 3 rows of sharp teeth at the top of its long head and it burrows into trees so that it creates holes like this!')

▪︎ keep notes of what you come up with

▪︎ afterwards swap notebooks and draw the creature based on descriptions and what you've been told about it

▪︎ boom! new creatures!
