As a reminder
Also don’t mind me, just playing around with my art style and using AA as my guinea pig for it. Changes overall seem to be positive, just gotta refine them to look more consistent moving forward.
a really important thread
Big thank you to Ask The Last Comet for doing the sketches for this update!
Commission I recently completed for Droakir.
I started the blocking of this one while on my desktop, but my reliable and spunky laptop is the one that took all the brunt of it. And I will say, I’m impressed this little guy managed so well.
The linework and blocking wasn’t that much of an issue, but I struggled when it came to the shading part. I think that had more to do with me than the program and the tablet I was using. I got fussy, but hey after all I’m kind of glad I got this piece done in a relatively short amount of time.
I hope you guys enjoy the picture!
A line from yesterday's HuniCast I tried to animate. Welp. Animation is something I never learned and it's so exhausting Aaaaa
Well, that turned out better than I expected.
Seriously though, this movie is quite important. I’d say it’s perhaps one of the most emblematic films about the horrors of war and warfare, since it’s practically the living embodiment of the atomic bomb. That is some horrifying thought right there. I find it surprising that such a serious movie opened the door to, well…what’s to come next month.
Thank you all for following this year’s event!
And now, if you excuse me, I have to go have some fun with my new friend. He’s pretty nice when you get to know him.
((OOC: It’s been a while in the making. Thank you guys for sticking around!))

Wow. OK....
Oh good grief, they get bigger.
Seriously though, this movie is downright delightful. It does have the humans VS nature message right up front which saves us from some of the finger-pointing awkwardness of this sort of movies, and has a surprisingly strong focus on character.
But quite honestly there was a strong sense of…schadenfreude? Is the word? When Mothra is flying around making no distinction between who are heroes and who are villains. In a way they all enabled this to happen. That was an excellent way to combine both subjects.
Definitely check this one out.
And now, if you excuse me, I need to get me a fly swatter. A big one.

Hope you didn’t think it was over.
Seriously though, this movie was…alright.
It doesn’t feel right to talk trash about this movie since it is so harmless and innocent, but it does have some problems. There’s too much of the human characters, which I’d be okay with if it wasn’t because they are the most generic human characters one could imagine, and at times the comedy feels out of place and pointless, like it’s a bad Jerry Lewis knock off.
It’s a relief though that the tone stays consistent, and it’s always light hearted. If it was trying to take itself seriously then I’d have more of an issue with it. I say give it a go, though don’t expect anything spectacular.
And now, if you excuse me, I really need to look into that insurance thing. Gotta add “possible liable causes” to the clause.

Happy Nightmare Night, every creature!
With how many giant monsters keep coming to Ponyville, I’m surprised that I have never really touched that much on kaiju films. I’ve received a good amount of them over the years, so let’s see what we can get to this month.
Also, don’t worry about the theater; I have great insurance.
