Really liking the idea of a Black masculine presenting faceclaim for Nate and having him being a second gen Irish immigrant. Won't that make the racists angry. Currently thinking on Idris Elba, but still open to suggestions.

“I’m not that tired.” Nate looked longingly at his bed and at Randall. Nate was a man of creature comforts, and the allure of the soft sheets and Randy’s arms was hard to ignore.

Despite his protesting brain, he laid down next to him, resting his head on his arm. “I have to get up early tomorrow so I can finish this outline-”

“I never asked…how often do you have to do that?” Nate didn’t specify what he meant, but it was clear enough. They were both tied to some elixir, something that made their lives worse, but better somehow. Better with a cost, maybe. He wasn’t sure how he’d put it.

“Ideally… a little each night with… more at least once a week.” And by more, she meant a kill. But she held little intention of say that aloud. “The more frequent, the better I feel. But I pace myself.” 

Sophia looked up at Nate from the mug of blood she’d settled into. “Supposedly the older I get, the less I’ll need but… We’ll have to see.” 

“Yeah, it doesn’t seem to work that way.” Nate looked away, perhaps disgusted with her, perhaps with himself. Keeping himself in profile, he crossed his arms. 

“How do you even manage? I...” he had only recently become all right with stealing, he doubted he could just kill someone. Not without a good excuse. 

“You got a list?”

Although Nate’s descriptions were far from particularly helpful, Zora felt they had enough of something to try with.

“I mean, sure. Have you helped make a set before?“

“I- sort of? I’ve been hoping to learn a little more of this hands-on stuff.” Nate shrugged. “You need a resume?”

Nate scoffed, somewhat embarrassed. What he really wanted was to avoid being cast. Sophie had been asking him to get out and be more social, and rehearsal, apparently, was a great way to do it. He was hardly thrilled about starring in any form of community theater.
