ain’t this the fuckin’ truth.
Be with someone who you don’t have to hide from, in any way. Whether it’s your morning face before you’ve put your make up on, an embarrassing story to tell about something that happened on your way home, or an ambition you’ve had since you were six… make sure you end up with someone who knows all of it and still loves you. A person you can tell your whole life to is a person worth spending a life with.

Truth.
welp
It took me years to accept this.
What we should be preaching is that both textures are beautiful, and that you don’t need ‘bouncy’ curls to be part of the ‘club’.
^^^^^^
These biracial chicks are becoming grillionaires off our own self hatred, and I hate every minute of it. Negresses out here buying tubs and tubs of this stuff, thinking that if they just use enough of it, they’ll have that biracial spiral, And biracial Black women have been the face of the natural hair movement for a LONG time now, and I resent the fuck out of it. NOTHING but love for Taren Guy and Tracee Ellis Ross, but THEIR ‘natural’ is not MY ‘natural’, and we really need to be honest about the difference in the hair of Two-Black-Parents Black women and biracial Black women. It’s NOT the same.
I literally hate Miss Jessie’s for their marketing, their pricing and their ingredients. They’re not even all natural, so you end up with hella dry hair that’s coated with build up you’ll need a sulfate shampoo to get rid of.
Get yourself some products that promote healthy hair, not a specific look. Get some shea butter, coconut oil, olive oil and other natural ingredients and make your own products or invest in brands that don’t feed you the same self-hating b.s., still teaching you to value loose curly or wavy hair and forgetting that what you have on your head is perfectly fine as it is, small curls, coils or no curl or coils at all.
