Harley’s new mission was now to help her best girl feel better. She couldn’t imagine how awful it must be, being cut off like that. It wasn’t the same as having a superpower blocked or a weapon taken away, this place literally cut off a part of her and just like the first time around, Harley was still mad about it.
“I dunno if ya remember… last time I told ya I got a plant ‘cuz I missed ya. I still got it, I remembered to water it an’ everythin’!” She looked proud of herself; for one, yes it was still alive and hopefully happily thriving by her window in her bedroom– somewhere where the Joker was not allowed and he couldn’t kill it either.
“I know, Red. An’ I love ya, ya know that right? C’mon!” She stood again, taking Ivy’s hands with her own and pulling her to her feet too. “Let’s do somethin’ fun like we used to!” She hoped a distraction might help her feel a little better.
“Wow, look at you. I’d almost think you’re a functioning adult.” She teased, though let out a bit of a yelp as she’s pulled to her feet. She couldn’t help it. Pam would never get used to Harley being so good at getting her out of a slump. She smiled, unable to suppress her snicker at the idea.
“So long as we’re not held at gunpoint or playing in traffic.” Pamela said, though the smile said she was mostly joking. ...She still really didn’t want to play in traffic right now.
