We all know he’s talking about Sean Murphy, right? Because apparently Drake Baldwin is going to play almost everyday going forward.

Is “cooled off” getting on base 5 times Thursday? Is the “cooled off” in the room with us? He was benched for Ozuna yesterday when he had 2 home runs and 2 doubles off of Brady Singer while Ozuna had nothing. And still has nothing off of Singer.

Sean Murphy has been better than both Drake Baldwin and Marcell Ozuna for a bit and he’s the one about to lose a majority of his playing time.

Fuck this stupid ass team. Why the hell did they not trade him at the deadline to a team that will actually play him like he deserves?

Last year was one thing because he was very clearly still dealing with the oblique injury. This year? There are no words. He’s been a top 3 player, at the very least, on the team since he came back from his rib injury.

I’m so mad, and I’m trying my very best to not hate every other player on the team right now. Because as far as I can tell, no one else gets treated like this.

Now he’s getting the wrath of the fanbase after striking out during a pinch hit opportunity last night (after not playing for 3 fucking days, so super cold) in a game they weren’t going to win anyway.

But yeah, I knew the second Murph had his playing time dramatically reduced this would happen. I feel so fucking bad for him. When he came in to pinch hit yesterday he looked over it, and I don’t blame him. This team and fanbase have been awful to him.

Serious question....why did the Braves even trade for Murphy? If Snit is really going to start platooning him and Baldwin, Murph won't be playing a lot. I don't care if Baldwin's bat is hot, you don't do that to your veteran catcher who signed a very team friendly deal (and is only in year 3 of that 6 or 7 year deal) before he even played a game for your organization. You figure out a way to have both in the lineup. You don't just bench the guy that helped your team get back on track after starting out 0-7. This is feeling a little too much like last year, except Murphy is healthy and playing great. Well, playing great for now. Who knows how it's going to look if he only starts against LHP.
