Endless Andaman & Nicobar Islands...
I will start on describing this place by using a single word, that is, “endless”. An endless water, an endless white sand, an endless greenery and many more things. In short, everything is endless there and that’s what makes it one of the epic destination to visit.
Isn’t it amazing that a small island comprises of endless things !!!!!
Last year I went to explore its beauty. Trust me, it’s really worth it. Geographically speaking, Andaman & Nicobar Islands are basically group of different islands at the point of Bay of Bengal & Andaman Sea.
Honestly, there are so many things to explore over there but due to shortage of time I visited the famous places and will cover them here. And yes, on my next trip I will try my best to cover the left out places. So, no more wasting time let’s explore !
Port Blair, being its capital city serves as the entry point for visiting this place. From here, we can visit other islands like Havelock (Swaraj), Neill (Shaheed), Ross (Netaji Subash Chandra Bose). Recently, our Prime Minister changed names of these islands as I mentioned them above.
Moreover, you can visit this hoping city (Port Blair) to glance their local lifestyle. Apart from this, there is an epic & historic place to visit in this city, Cellular Jail (”Kaala Paani”) which primarily imprisoned the freedom fighters who were ousted from the terrain of India during the British Era. It regularly holds light and sound shows on India’s freedom struggle. There you will get to know or I can say you can easily feel how much pain our freedom fighters went through for our independence.
Havelock, being the most famous island whose major attraction is Radhanagar Beach, Kala Patthar Beach & Elephant Beach. Beaches are all covered with beautiful white sand, deep blue water and whole lot of greenery. Scuba diving is another famous attraction over there.
Ross Island, a lovely place to visit if you want to make a day out by traversing for hours in the midst of its historical importance. Neill Island, known for its superb bio-diversity, unexplored coral reefs, white sandy shorelines & tropical forests, which is an ideal for a serene downtime.
Hey one more interesting & adventurous thing I forgot to mention. As Port Blair is the gateway to explore other islands. So, you can travel different islands by cruise, ship, ferry & even with helicopters.
So, spend some time over there and I am so sure you will carry loads of memories and scenic pictures with you just like I did.
And, don’t forget to drink coconut water, you can find it everywhere.
