The whole world doesn't know how poorly retired miners are paid! Do you know your gross MPS pension from about 20 years ago? No!—By law we must be provided with Form P60 you may have P60s from other employers or pension providers but the one we are concerned about is YOUR MPS P60 form.
Some of you will be familiar with the MPS website login procedure and will have no trouble accessing your pay details. Others will have to Register on the MPS website this will provide you with login and password details by which will allow you access to your pay and P60s details.
When you get access to your pay please copy the pay details from about 20 years ago or there about , say 2000 up to the most recent probably year 2020. That’s 20 years worth of pay details at your fingertips.
Now for some sums! write down the year 2020 pay then write down the earliest sum, say year 2000. take one from the other. eg £5000 - £2500 = £2500. that will be how much pay increase you have received in the las t  20 years. Poverty is the name of the game. The injustices put on the mining industry is well known but the scale and pittance of retired miners is not well known.
Lets take this campaign in another direction we are paid pittances and show the evidence of the pittances. people will then put the evidence up against other evidence of other incomes such as MP's expenses and such.
