āi have been to a lot of places in my childhood, so i feel like my options are limited even if i havenāt been to many places. i would like to go to greece and see their architecture, or even brazil to walk through the rainforest. taking a vacation to the bahamas sounds nice too.ā

"it is okay to struggle; your feelings are valid. itās okay to take a few days to yourself and step back from the situation, but just remember that you are not alone, and that there will always be someone who is willing to help you. you are loved and you will never be alone.ā

"yes ! i wonder if that sounds weird, but i really wanted to be a part of the entertainment business. i canāt imagine myself anywhere else, and my family liked that i knew what i wanted to do at a young age... they were more than willing to support me on my endeavours ...ā
nine. why did you decide to become a trainee and idol?
"i wanted to make music. i realized this after attending my first concert that i wanted to perform for people. there was this feeling in the crowd thatās been unforgettable to me since then, and i wanted to do the same thing, you know? i liked the idea of being able to make people experience different emotions through music i would one day put out. i was really inspired ...ā
ten. where do you see yourself in 10 years from now?
āi hope to be filming a drama or film ! i like acting ... though, maybe in ten years i could promote my own self-composed album; i think itād be nice to show people a different side that no one has seen from me when the time comes.ā

āthereās seven of us; my parents, my four siblings, and then the youngest member is me. weāre very close, and we donāt see each other often but we try to have dinner once a week together. weāre all busy, and private, but thereās nothing but love for each other.ā

"i think i didnāt get much of one, but itās okay. i was going back and forth from school and sets a lot, but other than that i donāt remember much of it.ā
fourteen. if you werenāt pursuing the path to fame, where do you think you would be?
"i think iād like to do what one of my brothers is doing, just laying low and living his life how he needs to. i think iād still be in university, and but i would be studying a different subject. if i wasnāt interested in being an idol or an actor, i think iād like to be a scientist.ā
fifteen. write a message to your fans ā what would you like to say to them?

Haru wasnāt a fan of conspiracy theories or videos like this. Not because she was scared, but because she found them absolutely preposterous. And maybe because they freaked her out a little bit, but definitely more so the former. She didnāt see the point of them. Not only were they highly dramatized, she could see the holes in all of their stories.Ā
āI canāt believe youāre actually making me watch this. Do you do this on your own free time, or is this something you specifically saved to show me the next time we saw each other?ā She asked, giving Minho an unimpressed a look, although that was soon replaced with a small smile.Ā
She wasnāt a fan of Buzzfeed Unsolved videos, but sheād suffer through one or two if Minho really wanted to watch them. It wasnāt like she had anything better to do. Or maybe she did, she just felt like being a little bit neglectful of her responsibilities. Was that so bad?Ā
āWhatās this one called again?ā She could barely keep up with everything being said because of her basic knowledge of the English language, but she knew enough to catch the gist of what was going on for the most part.
he gawks at her response at the halfway point of the video, feigning hurt as he just stares. when he asked for her opinion of the episode so far, he wasn't really expecting her to say she wasn't believing any of it. there had to be some truth into what the both of them were hearing, right?
"how could you say that? this is some interesting stuff !"
well, he understands where she's coming from. part of him doesn't really believe anything he's hearing either, but these stories are still fascinating to hear about at the very least. "honestly ... i guess it's both. i like watching a lot of conspiracy and true crime documentaries; i guess you could say that this is something i look at during my down time. i also did want to show you this too, though ! i thought it'd be an interesting topic ...?"
minho doesn't sound confident, but the idea extraterrestrial life and humans having experiences in seeing them in real life is something he likes learning about. whether they have any truth to it is something he no longer questions; he doesn't believe everything he hears, but some stories are too intricate to not believe.

āminho! straighten your back. an idol with bad posture is no way to be known. good posture, confident stance, right?ā it is know that hyeon is the most protective, most loving and still the most strict with the juniors she believed in most. minho was no exception. he was bright, glowing as he performed, moving like water taking to a riverbed. it was natural to him, she saw it in the passion that burnt low in his stare, focused on his reflection as though his vision was tunnelled, centred completely on his body. she stood from her seated position, picking up his water bottle, jogging toward him to place a hand on his shoulder gently, as to not shock him. she knew well that such focus being broken was always a bit of a shock. āneed a little break? i have snacks in my bag - trust me, youāre doing great, baby boy.ā
he sighs, straightening his back obnoxiously with his shoulders back too far and his chest too forward for the stance to be comfortable. he pouts at her through the mirror like a child, before turning his head to glance back at her properly. "like this? you say 'good posture, confident stance' but that requires confidence to begin with !" he's whining now, tired from going over too many steps nonstop since they started. he takes the water bottle and takes a sip, thanking her quietly before he lets himself crumble to the floor, laying on his back. he was thankful that she was overseeing his practice, as unbelievable as that sounds about now, happy that she would take time out of happiness' busy schedule to see him. she must be tired, but she doesn't seem to be showing anything of it. he nods enthusiastically at the mention of food, pouting again. "please, i am dying here."
he smiles through his thoughts, bumping into minho from the side affectionately. he really was just ecstatic to be with him, and he was quick to elect to taking the long way even without the added benefits. but, when he spoke up, it came out differently.
ā yeah, letās do that. do you think your parents will be home when we get there? ā he asked, before explaining himself. ā i miss seeing them, i feel like itās been forever. plusāi miss your pets and like, shit. ā
as they exited the building, they headed the opposite of their dorms, going straight for one of his family home. his parents had another residence in gangnam, but it was too far and it was going to be forever until they actually got there. he's tired, and he knows haneul will be twice as tired with the added weight from their bags.
practice was brutal; he can't help but feel bad.
he doesnāt ask, but he wonders if haneul feels burdened by the leader position after numerous others turned down the role. one person was himself, who had turned down the role when he was offered the role back in 2013, before the group was even conceptualized.
presumably, as one of the trainees who had been there for five years unable to debut in eros, they thought the role would compensate for the loss of confidence at not being considered. he turned it down initially because he knew he wouldnāt handle it ā itās not that he doesnāt have faith in his friend ( heās been a great leader since taking up the role ), but itās a big responsibility; a lot has probably been placed on his shoulders that minho couldnāt begin to imagine.
he wants to ask, because he wants the other to know that he will do what he can to help, but instead he only offers a gentle smile, a sign that things will be okay even if it feels hard right now. haneul is the rock of their group, and he believes everything will always be okay if their leader was okay.
minho hopes that good things will only come for them, more so haneul, who deserves the most strength to keep them all afloat on dangerous waters.
āmy parents?ā he doesnāt think theyāre home, and quite honestly, he doesnāt want them to be. he doesnāt think his siblings would be home either, but he had a better relationship with them than his parents. he doesn't necessarily have a bad relationship with them either, the two parties still love each other as they used to before, but it's harder to show.
things are just a little awkward when it's just minho and his parents. he doesn't know how to properly apologize for lashing out at them months ago, and they seem scared to talk about the subject again. "they've been busy a lot, cramming in their last projects and all."
He gently brushed his fingers through Minhoās hair, pressing a kiss against the top of his head as he did so. He reluctantly allowed him to pull away, knowing that his brother could use even more love and kindness. He was just glad that he hadnāt pushed him away like he did with their parents, although he wasnāt really surprised. Apart from Minseo, he and Minho had the strongest bond, and now that she was gone, Minjun was Minhoās closest connection to her. āLook at me.ā He took his face in his hands and tilted it up, forcing him to make eye contact. āNone of this is your fault. You did absolutely nothing wrong. Donāt you dare blame yourself for this.ā
embarrassment eats away at him as tears stream down his face in front of one of his older brothers. he lives with a blameworthy conscious, survivorās guilt flowing through his thoughts more than the reality of the situation ā this is not his fault, and his better judgment would usually let him know that heās just as innocent as any bystander, but he feels the most responsible, seeing as they wouldnāt be in this situation if they werenāt celebrating something for him. entire day out was great, but they underestimated the darkness of the night, allowing it to slip by them and pull someone under its hold, maybe two people considering the state the young male is in now. he shouldāve said no, and that they could celebrate when he actually debuts. was he selfish?
heās a crybaby, the weakest amongst their family even when he should be strong. strong if not for them, if not for himself, he should should do it for her. he knows if she were in his position, she would be comforting everyone at her own pace, taking care of them when they need her to. but minho? he canāt even keep himself together, and thatās what he hates most. as the youngest in his family, heās spent his life being cared for left and right ā he wants to turn the tables and be the one they can lean on; he feels like itās his duty now that sheās gone. unfortunately, the tears keep coming night after night. if itās not the nightmares keeping him awake at night, itās his own memories of the ordeal that has him up for hours. heās scared of telling anyone, not wanting to burden anyone anymore.
āyou donāt understand ...ā heās quiet, moving back again as he shakes his head. no one will understand, he wonāt let anyone listen. this is his problem, and he doesnāt want anyone to try and convince him of his thoughts otherwise. āyou ā you werenāt there ...ā he paused, covering his mouth hoping itād muffle his loud mumbles. āitā she ā this is all my fault. we shouldnāt have gone, we didnāt need to go. we couldāve stayed home, we couldāve been safe.ā his words are frantic, almost hysteric, as he tries to explain everything in the most subtle way. āif we didnāt ... she would still be here with us, hyung.ā
thinking about how to respond to the question asked, she hummed quietly to herself. āwe have been quite busy, thatās true,ā eunbyul wondered, but eventually, she shook her head. āitās okay though. iāve even started working out!ā an attempt of excitement was in her voice, followed by her playfully trying to flex her biceps. maybe her attempt of being as naturally playful as always wasnāt exactly of success, but it was a start. although, maybe, they should go somewhere else to talk. and with that thought, she already spoke out the suggestion that had been forming in her mind. ādo you want to sit and get something to drink or food, or do you still have other plans?ā
had anyone else known that he was in the building at the moment, they wouldnāt be surprised that the first person heād search for is eunbyul. while there is a list of people that he wants to see as soon as possible, her name is in big, bold letters ā indicating urgency; sheās the person that will always pop up first when it comes to people heās closest to besides his own family. sheās like another sister to him, an extended member of his own family unit. you could say that sheās been there since the beginning, which isnāt entirely wrong. when he started out as a trainee, there wasnāt anyone around his age in the company at the time.
he was one of the only kids on their trainee roster.
and it wouldnāt be awhile until someone closer to his age would join. eunbyul was the closest to his age at the time, being nearly six years older, but he found himself latching onto her because she was all that he would end up having for the next six months. sheās been like his older sister ever since, him following him her around because he didnāt know who else to follow ā everyone was older and quite frankly, to a shy boy with no other friends, they were scary. he only forced her to take care of him, which would end up being one of the few things he wouldnāt regret in his life. she had watched him grow up for the past eight years; how could she not come first after all this time?
ādo i look good? your manager said i look brand new !ā he laughs, trying to lighten the mood. he knows the other was lying, but it gave him a little hope that he was at least looking a lot more okay than he felt. āa bit of an exaggeration, but i took the compliment regardless.ā he nods enthusiastically at her question, a reassuring smile on his face as he gave her a thumbs up. no, she wasnāt the best dancer in her group ( something they had in common ) but he always thought she looked better and better with every performance given. knowing how worldwide media is, heās knows their trainers are probably breathing down her neck with sirenās comeback so close. ātake all the time you need. iāll be with these bad boys for another week or two !ā
minho lifts one of the crutches, pouting despite his previously cheery voice. he likes to think heās improving a lot ā at least, his doctors are telling him that heās making good progress, which is somewhat satisfactory for his self-esteem amongst everything else that feels wrong with him. the accident had taken very little from him, but the impact was huge ā it created a gaping wound in his heart, taking away an important figure in his life as well as the confidence he spent so many years building up. even now, it feels like a joke that heās back at the entertainment building again where his dreams, once again, feel so much further than he wants them to be.
he tries to feel nothing when she voices her feelings about the situation, a heavy subject he was unrealistically hoping to avoid. ( heās carrying around two crutches a new scar on his face ā the situation is too noticeable to even pretend to ignore. )
āitās okay. i guess i understood their reasoning behind it. not that i really agree with it, but i think itās okay now.ā visitors wouldāve made his stay feel a lot better than it actually was, but thatās something that was out of his own hands. they wanted privacy. they didnāt know if heād survive either. no sense in providing hope for the unpredictable. positivity is back on his face, a hand reaching for her āmuscled upā bicep with a laugh. āwow, your muscles are probably bigger than mine !ā truthfully, minho did have plans to see more people, but he found himself throwing out those plans at the thought of being able to spend time with her. ānope ! iām yours for the afternoon !ā
