The only thing better than candy! | Event Open
Her Master wasn't around, which should have been a problem. Without a Master, how was she supposed to replenish her prana? Candy. Lots and lots of candy. But now, that wasn't working. That was a problem for Yachiru - if she wasn't ready to fight, then what was she supposed to do?
The obvious, logical solution to this problem was to fight anyway! After all, the more you fought, the stronger you'd become, so if she fought now, she'd be more able to fight later! Now all she had to do was find someone who she actually could fight.
That might be hard. How was she supposed to find other servants? The only one who wasn't Ken-chan that she'd met was Iskandar, but he was supposed to fight Ken-chan, not her. How did he go about finding people to fight, anyway?
Unsheathing her blade, she raised it, resting it on her shoulder, her other hand grasping the scabbard. Cueball used his, sometimes, when he was fighting, so it would be a good idea to for her, and the position of the blade was exactly like Ken-chan's! Now she'd look scary and ready to fight, she was sure.
"Come out and fight me!"
Yes, very scary. That would be why nobody had come running to fight her. But that wouldn't do, would it? She had to fight to win this war, so she'd just have to try harder at finding an opponent. "It'll be fun!"
Like a kid in a candy store | Open/Intro | Yachiru + Iskander!
“Indeed! I was 32 when I departed over 2000 years ago, and now here I am.” He hadn’t spent the whole 2000 years fighting, though. Simply waiting to be summoned in the Holy Grail War. But his legacy and actions had lasted for those two thousand years, and in his time Alexander had never lost a battle. Granted, that record didn’t extend to the 4th Holy Grail War… but now he knew what to expect, and how to deal with it.
A fight to earn your heart’s desire. Iskander knew what he wanted. A body of flesh and blood, so he could take on the world. His native Macedonia and Greece had seemed so small, while the world was such a large place. But he couldn’t take it on as a spirit! That was why he needed he Grail. To be able to take on the world. To carve his legacy and spirit into the annals of history.
Laughing uproariously, the conqueror couldn’t help but shake his head. “Then it won’t work. There are no rules about how one fights in the Grail War. The Church is meant to regulate, but they don’t seem to care right now. Trickery, deceit… pretty much anything goes.” If this Ken-chan was the sort who played fair, he didn’t stand much of a chance against those who used Reality Marbles and magic.
“It certainly will be. Fun, and difficult.” But there was no fun to be had if there was no challenge. In a way, Iskander was almost like Kenpachi, although he did not know it. Always living for the next day, always living to see the next battle, and always wanting as much enjoyment as he could gain. That was the way of a conqueror and king, and the path that Iskander had always followed.
“I see. Hmmm…” A thought struck him. “Do you want to go INSIDE the store? You were looking at the display, after all.”
He'd been fighting for two thousand years, as far as she could understand - if you'd lived that long, and you were in this war, you had to have been, right? Yachiru's expectation was that all of the servants were like her - doing their own thing, which would obviously be fighting, until they were summoned to this really important battle. They'd only lost to Ichigo because he'd cheated, so it wasn't really a loss to her mind, and Ken-chan would never lose again. Of that she was completely and utterly sure.
"But it will work! If they cheat, Ken-chan and I won't have any fun, so we'll have to kill them in a single blow!" That was her logic - if they were cheating, they weren't any fun, and if they insisted on fighting when they weren't fun, they would be killed. Admittedly, their definition of 'fair' was likely to be skewed, when it came to fighting. It wasn't about honour as much as dying honourably, only fighting people strong enough to stand a chance, and informing your opponent you would fight before attempting to finish the battle. Attacking from behind was fine, if you had already started fighting, but attacking without warning with intent to injure, that wasn't fair at all.
He seemed similar enough to Ken-chan, to her - they were both big, and had the appearance of being powerful. She wouldn't have suggested they would fight if she had thought otherwise - the few people who they were friends with were usually those who had fought with them, both as allies and as opponents. "The store... yeah!"
She'd completely forgotten about it, talking to Iskandar. Which store was he meaning? He'd probably regret asking her soon enough, finally seeing one of the best sights in the world. A candy store! One moment she'd be standing beside him, before Shunpo-ing to the door, a large smile on her face. There was simply no way a child could move that fast, but Yachiru had more important things on her mind. Things like candy.
"Yay!" It would be concerning, for anyone in the shop, seeing the little pinkette running around, looking at absolutely everything in the store. "This is amazing! Candy~!"
Like a kid in a candy store | Open/Intro | Yachiru + Iskander!
“I’m counting on it!”
And even if he couldn’t get this mysterious man to join him, to have a good battle and feel his blood pounding was a good opportunity indeed. Iskander had always been slightly impulsive, always doing things that his good advisers called rash or even idiotic (behind his back, at least). Everything that a person does, they should do because they want to do it. To inspire his people to follow their dreams, to break the boundaries of what people called limits and transcend mortality; that was the duty of a king.
“That’s exactly what I’ve been talking about!” Maybe it was the long speeches that had scared her off a bit. Still, it was part of Iskander’s BIG point. “I have been a Heroic Spirit for the better part of 2000 years, but there are still things I’ve never heard of. Like the Gotei 13, or this Fuyuki City! There’s so much WORLD to see!” He nodded at the pink-haired girl’s explanation. “So, a corps for the world… on standby.” Which made them the best of the best. It would certainly take the best of the best to challenge a force like that. Or some very clever infiltrators.
“The Grail War… is something you cannot escape from. It’s a fight, after all. A fight to earn your heart’s desire. If you and this Ken-chan here, it is because the Grail chose you. Saw the potential for you to really win this. And I’m assuming that while you might not share his dream, but he wants to find opponents to fight, right?” The great conquerer laughed.
“Of course, if that’s the case he doesn’t really need the Grail to fulfill his wish! The Grail War is meant to gather only the best of the best. The strongest of the strong, and bravest of the brave.” Including the king himself, but that was the implication. But wait! They’d been talking for so long that Iskander had forgotten himself. “Don’t you think he’d be looking for you right now?”
"Two thousand years?" That was a really, really long time. Had he been fighting the whole time? If so, she was impressed, even if she simply couldn't comprehend how long he'd been fighting for. Two thousand was a huge number, and to someone like Yachiru, to have been in a war for that long was unimaginable, and amazing. "That's right! Normally there's just one of us, in each area, but I think this Grail war's going to bring more!" After all, it would make sense for the Gotei 13 to want to claim it - who knew what could happen, if someone made the wrong wish?
A fight to earn your heart's desire? What was it that she could be here for, then? With Ken-chan in the running, she wasn't necessary, so what was it that she was here to try to win? There was nothing she wanted that she didn't have, or at least have the ability to get - sweets were available from so many shops, and Byakki would come and eat with her, one day or another. Unless she was going to wish for her and Ken-chan to get even stronger, there simply wasn't anything she could think she'd wish for.
"Of course that's what Ken-chan wants. And I'll be there, watching him fight! If it chose Ken-chan, the Grail knows he's going to win, if he decides he wants it. Maybe it chose us so that people can't cheat, so that they have to be good fighters to win it!" Everything would always come back to fighting, for her, unless it was about eating. It wouldn't be fair to assume that, because of her simple priorities, Yachiru wasn't able to come to a logical conclusion. She just got distracted far too easily, and was full of the enthusiasm of youth.
"If it really is the best of the best here, it's gonna be so much fun!" The implication was understood, on some level - why would he mention how strong everyone else was, if he wasn't at their level - but it didn't matter to her. Yachiru had already decided that Ken-chan would win, because he was the strongest, and all of these people would just mean he had a good time.
"I hope not, Isky. Ken-chan would get lost, without me, so I hope he's not trying to find me. It might take ages to find him, if he does!" Yachiru's sense of direction was only good in her mind - Kenpachi's was almost certainly better, even if they were both perfectly capable of getting lost in the Soul Society, despite living there. It wasn't her fault the streets were moving, was it?
Ken-chaaan!
“Ain’t it simple? Ichigo got stronger! If the guy bothered to bring him up in the first place, then that means Ichigo’s the guy he wants to beat!” And Kenpachi shows a level of astute understanding that actually made him a good captain. His logical understanding of the nature of the battlefield and of the true warriors on it kept him grounded; he truly wasn’t any different from the other fighters on the battlefield besides his massive power and inexhaustible blood-lust.
“Taller than me?” The guy would certainly have to stand out then! He would keep that in mind, though his anticipation of facing the man head on was steadily growing, mostly due in part to Yachiru’s constant praise of the male. Seems like he could find some fun in this situation. “If he’s so easy to find then, where is he then?”
"Which means he'll be getting stronger too, so he'll be even more fun next time!" If Yachiru became serious, then she wasn't that bad of a lieutenant. There was a reason, after all, that the division was afraid of her, while they respected their Captain. She was unpredictable, but it was nearly impossible to get her to be serious, when Ken-chan wasn't fighting; whether that was the reason people feared her or not simply didn't matter to her. She probably wasn't even aware of that fact, far too focused on having fun.
"Yeah! And he's older than Gramps, too. He said he'd been fighting for two thousand years." That was why she was certain he'd be fun - after all, the only reason she could see for the Commander-Captain being close to Kenpachi's strength was his age. Of course, to her mind, Iskandar couldn't possibly win, but at least he ought to be a good fight. "That way!" By now, you would have thought Kenpachi wouldn't ask her for directions, or would simply tell her he'd follow his instincts. "Definitely that way, Ken-chan!"
Like a kid in a candy store | Open/Intro | Yachiru + Iskander!
Clothing was difficult for the very large, as well as the very small. And they also had to represent the style of the great king. Ordering his games made life more convenient; after all, they came with clothing! Although the conqueror would never understand the current fascination with leggings. Everyone wore them. Even women! Why avoid the feeling of the breeze underneath your loincloth? It made a man feel alive. Ah well, best to relent in circumstances like this.
“Of course, I’d have to meet him first…”
Still, she certainly HAD to be more than she seemed. And her strength would have to be terrible indeed… or maybe her Noble Phantasm was very strong. Either way, a military position was nothing to scoff at. Even being a mere soldier in the army of the conqueror had elevated his loyal warriors to the strength level of a Heroic Spirit. And to be a vice-captain, a position of power…
“The Gotei 13? I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting them! What country does your army defend?” It sounded like a part of Asia that Iskander hadn’t had the pleasure to visit yet. He would have gotten there eventually, give or take five or so years. Perhaps then he would have been able to cross paths before this Grail War. But now was not the time for reminiscence. Now was the time for action!
“Discussion, discourse… of course! And all over a hearty drink!” If it was possible to gain these allies by his side without the need for unnecessary bloodshed, it would be much better. After all, perhaps these were stories conjured up by this Yachiru. But if what she was saying was true… then conquering this world had become so much easier. “Why do I want to conquer?” A slight shrug. “Why not? One day I woke up and decided to do what my heart told me to do. And that was to take on this world, with my allies at my side! The best part is that you can’t run out. If there are no more countries in one continent, I move to the next continent! And even beyond the stars, there must be more to do and see! Sometimes I let people rule themselves. It’s about impulse; about doing what I want to do. And there’s no way I can run out of things to do in this world.”
If Yachiru had been aware, it would have been easy to find clothing at a store for children, but it wasn't likely she'd ever enter one, let alone shop there. She was small, but she wasn't a child, even if she did seem like one almost all of the time - she'd been there when Ken-chan had become the Captain, about a century ago. Shopping at a store for children would be irritating in the extreme, if she ever found out they existed.
"You're in the Grail War, Isky! You'll meet Ken-chan before it's over, 'kay?"
By 'meet', she meant fight, but that was the way they were. The two men could talk before or after the fight, but in her mind it was certain that the two of them would - and she'd be there, watching the whole fight. Although she could fight, too, there wasn't a point, if Ken-chan wanted to cut loose. After all, if he felt he had to, that would mean he was having fun, and when he was having fun she was happy.
"You don't know? But you're not ordinary, so why don't you know?" If he'd been a normal human, she could understand, but he'd just summoned a chariot from the sky. How could he not know what the Gotei 13 was, if he could dothat?"Okay, Isky. If you're sure you don't know... we watch all of them, in case we're needed, and the Soul Society. That's where we were, before we were here!"
It would never work, for Iskandar, trying to acquire the services of the Shinigami. Even if the 11th division loved to fight, war wasn't the normal goal of the squads - they were supposed to protect, only invading when it was truly necessary. No, it would be impossible for there to be enough opponents of skill for the members of her division. Of course, that was the only concern she had about his plan, to get her and Ken-chan into his army. Not the rules of the Soul Society, not the problem of them leading an entire division, but worry that there wouldn't be enough fun for everyone.
"You want to take over everywhere? I don't think it'll work, Isky. Ken-chan loves to fight, but we're not supposed to be in this world, unless Hollows are too, or we've been told to. This Grail War must be pretty important! Gramps hasn't told us to come back yet, so it's got to be!" She'd completely lost the original train of thought, by this point, hadn't she? It wasn't as if Yachiru noticed that what she was saying was only related to the Rider's words in her mind, smiling at him again. "But it's still up to Ken-chan! He'd know what we're supposed to do."
Like a kid in a candy store | Open/Intro | Yachiru + Iskander!
“The strongest, ah? Sounds like just the kind of man I’d want in my army!”
If he was strong, Iskander wanted him in his army. Even the little girl could join his forces, if she pleased! As long as they were loyal and steadfast, anyone could join the army of the conqueror. Strength, skill… all that could be learned. But true loyalty and dedication couldn’t be taught or forced. It had to be earned by a leader.
“Very true. It seems that in this day and age, unusual fashions are all the rage!” Men who looked like women or vice versa, overly frilly and complicated clothing… even that women requesting people to poke some other woman’s face! Nevertheless, Iskander agreed with the demand for t-shirts. Not only were they comfortable, but they were a true gauge of the personality and fashion sense of the people who wore them!
It was in the nature of the great King of Conquerors to make equally great speeches! People didn’t always listen, but it helped him prepare his voice for the battlefield, and hopefully inspire others. One had to be loud when fighting. Otherwise, what was the point?
Isky? Well, it was shorter than Iskander… fine! She could call him Isky. Perhaps it would be best to ask all children to call him that. When they grew older, they could learn his true name. “A Berserker? Then you must be terribly strong!” For the most part he was joking, but part of the conqueror knew that it had to be true. Why else would she have been classified a Berserker?
“A military member!” That gave Iskander a great idea. “Hrm… Right then, Yachiru. What would you think of joining my army. You, me, this Ken-chan… We could fight together, conquer the world, take on anyone and everyone in this entire world. What do you say?” If he could gather every Heroic Spirit here… it would be enough to take on the entire UNIVERSE. He’d already started earlier, so why not invite a few more?
"Of course you'd want Ken-chan!"
Who wouldn't want him, in their army? Listening to the talk of unusual fashion, she looked around, seeing what the people around them were wearing. Nothing was as good as the Shinigami robes, that she could see - surely, it would all be too big! Still, it did cause her to think about what there could be, in her size. But finding anything other than the robes would be hard, harder than finding all of the candy stores.
The great speeches would be wasted on the youthful Shinigami - the only things she took anything approaching seriously were fighting, eating, and catching fish. Even then, unless it was the first of the three, her mind would still wander.
Calling people by their names was hard - having to remember all of them, especially when they were often so long, was a chore. Nicknames were easier for her, and she ignored any complaints about them. "Yeah! That's why I'm vice-Captain!" Although she wasn't sure as to the limits of her strength, she knew she had to be pretty strong - the 11th division was the strongest, and she was the second seat in it. If only more people would fight Ken-chan, or her, then maybe she'd know.
"Ken-chan would like fighting everyone, if they're strong enough. But we're already in an army, Isky! Kind of, anyway. The Gotei 13!" It seemed impossible that he wouldn't know what the Gotei 13 was, smiling up at him as she continued to talk. "The 11th division is the strongest! We specialise in fighting people, and beating them, always!" Giving the King of Conquerors a thumbs up, she nodded.
"You'd have to talk to Ken-chan, and Gramps, and Bya-kun, and all the other captains!" It would take too long to name the other ten. Even though the divisions acted separately, the human world was outside of their area, unless they were assigned there. She didn't know why, but unless it was something as important as the Grail War, they'd have to ask them all about it, or the Central 46. "But unless the fighting's against good people, Ken-chan won't be having any fun. Why do you want to conquer, Isky? If you rule everyone, then there's nobody good to fight against!"
Ken-chaaan!
“It was a damn good fight! You should have seen it!” Kenpachi obviously had no idea how to tend to a distressed young girl who was upset over missing said fight. However, he was still riding the high of that fight, even if it ended a bit sooner than he hoped. “Number Six, Grimmjow Jaegerjaques. He reminded me a bit of Ichigo, but without all that pointless self-restraint. Yeah, I didn’t kill him; why would I? I want to fight him again!”
“Isky?” What kind of guy was this? Apparently he was big, but did that really mean a damn thing to him? The big guys were often the lamest to fight, all brawn no skill, and then he just completely wiped them out. But if Yachiru said he would be fun to fight, then Kenpachi would trust her judgement. “A Chariot from the sky? Sounds like a guy with no common sense about logical movement. I like it! I’ll have to meet this Isky some time!” And there was the happiness in his voice again. He would have another fight to look forward to. The Grail War would be great!
"I'll just watch you next time, Ken-chan!" Her disappointment ended about the time he said the Espada was still alive. That would mean she'd actually get to see him fight someone at his level, again. "He's like Icchi? If he's number six, how did he beat Icchi, and then lose to you?" Ken-chan had only lost because it was a two-on-one, though, so maybe the Espada had a way of doing the same.
"You'll recognise him easily! He's taller than you, and he has red hair! Also, he makes lightning come down when he summons it, so he's easy to spot!" She wasn't sure what the servant's stats were like, but he'd seemed like he'd be fun to fight. After all, if he'd conquered and ruled part of the world, he'd be used to fighting. Even if the big guys fell quickly, because they weren't skilled, Iskandar seemed to be the exception to the rule. "It'll be cool!"
Ken-chaaan!
“Yachiru?”
For a moment, he was completely lost as to where his old ‘partner’ had come from. A very brief moment. Then it just struck him as complete common sense. If he was here, naturally, she would be here too. That’s just how it was was, and anyone who said otherwise, obviously didn’t know the two well enough.
“I don’t care about winning this. I’m just looking for every strong fighter out here! You missed it Yachiru! It was an Espada yesterday! The bastard supposedly beat Ichigo! I’m not sure I believed it myself, but it was one hell of a fight! And there’s MORE fighters around!”
It was very obvious that he was utterly happy with all these prime fighters on the battlefield. Why should he care about anything else besides that? What could the Holy Grail give him that the war wasn’t going to give him anyway?
"I missed you fighting an Espada?"
That was upsetting news, for the pink-haired girl. That would have been an awesome fight to watch! Although, the last one had hurt Ken-chan pretty bad, with all his arms. Still, he seemed to be alright, which meant it hadn't been a fight to the death.
"He beat Icchi? Did he die, or is he going to fight you again? Which one was he, Ken-chan?". There was something important she had to tell him, wasn't there? "Oh yeah! Isky! There's this big man called Isky, and he's a Rider. He says he'll conquer everyone, and that he'd be glad to meet you in battle! He summoned a chariot from the sky, Ken-chan!"
If Ken-chan was fighting, or preparing for a fight, then everything was right. It'd be kind of like the old days, before they joined the Gotei 13, except for the fact that they had Masters. Oh well, that'd be ignored by her, unless they bought sweets.
Like a kid in a candy store | Open/Intro | Yachiru + Iskander!
“Ken… chan?”
Maybe her brother, or a friend. Either way, a very sad thing. No child should have to go without parents… but at least she seemed happy enough with herself. Seeing the little wave, Iskandar grinned and gave a big wave of his own, before kneeling down so she would have to look up so much.
And then she was being asked about the Grail War. Huh… the little one was a Servant as well, wasn’t she? The marks on her arms and her powerful aura were enough evidence for that. It was a shame to fight someone so little, but you couldn’t underestimate even the smallest of people. After all, the entirety of history thought Iskander himself had been a tiny man who had just so happened to take the world by storm.
His voice booming and smile ecstatic, Iskander gave his reply. “Ha, of course I am little one! Otherwise there’d be no sense in me wearing an outfit like this!” Indeed, it was a fine outfit suited for a conqueror… but not the streets of Fuyuki City, where people were turning to stop and stare, or taking pictures. Ah well. At least the rest of the world would know of the return of the king!
“Do I fight people? Of course! I haven’t met your Ken-chan yet, but I would be glad to meet him in battle! As for what I do…” Drawing his sword, Iskander shouted towards the heavens. “COME FORTH, GORDIUS WHEEL!” The sky suddenly darkened, leaving the onlookers and bystanders to go inside and huddle for shelter. Lightning struck the ground, and from the heavens stormed a chariot driven by two divine bulls.
Faster and faster the lightning struck, as the pounding rhythm of their hooves echoed throughout the skies. Finally, the divine beasts landed as Iskander mounted his chosen vehicle. “I AM ISKANDER THE GREAT! MEMBER OF THE RIDER CLASS! I RIDE FORTH TO CONQUER ALL BEFORE ME, EVEN THE HEAVENS AND SKY THEMSELVES! I AM A KING AND CONQUEROR, LEADER AND RULER! And in this battle, I fight for the chance to ride this Earth once more!”
Bringing the chariot to a stop right in front of the little girl, the great king chuckled. “Is that enough of an answer, little one?”
"Yeah! Ken-chan! He's the strongest!"
It was easier, now that he was at her height, to talk to him. Being short meant that people seemed to ignore her, unless she was loud, although it was fantastic for sneaking around. He'd be in for trouble, if he was forced to fight her and assumed she was merely what her appearance implied. There were reasons why people were afraid for her, and Kenpachi was only one of them.
"Maybe, but some people look funny anyway!" Yachiru, you have a sword on wheels, you can't talk about how people look. She would have continued to talk, but then he kept going, her smile widening as he spoke, of fighting people. He hadn't fought Ken-chan yet, but he'd have to if he wanted to win this war, and he seemed as if he'd give the Captain a fun fight.
"Um..." Why did it go all dark, all of a sudden? He wasn't a Shinigami, or an Arrancar, so how was he doing that? Slowly looking up, her expression returned to its usual smile, watching the chariot come down from the sky. If he could summon that, what else could he summon? Food would be a good option...
And then he was yelling, breaching Yachiru out of her daydreaming, about conquering, and ruling, about being king. That he was fighting to be on the earth once again. She didn't understand - he was already here, wasn't he? But at least he had a name, one that would probably be easier to remember than the other one.
"Isky! You're a rider, Isky? I'm a Berserker, or something. It sounds cool!" Hopefully, he wouldn't summon the chariot if they fought. It looked like it would be fun to ride on, and it might get broken. Without Cueball to fix it, she'd have to hope his opponents were careful.
"Yes, it is! I'm Yachiru, vice-captain of the Eleventh division!" They weren't supposed to give out names, she had thought, but he had, so it must be fine!
Ken-chaaan!
"Ken-chan!"
That hadn't taken long, had it? Once again, she hadn't gotten lost, even if she'd found the same candy store a few times along the way. With a quick jump, she resumed her usual spot on the Captain's back.
"This is going to be fun! We'll win it for sure, Ken-chan!"
After all, who was stronger than them? Ichigo had only won because he was fighting with Zangetsu, a two-on-one. So this time, it'd be even, no matter who they were up against, so he couldn't lose!
"But... what are we doing this for? I wanna wish for sweets! Or something better than sweets!"
Like a kid in a candy store | Open/Intro | Seras + Yachiru
“What I would give to just lie in bed all day…”
Life in this blasted city didn’t get any easier. Day by day, something had to end up going wrong. To top it all off, she’d suddenly lost her servant. She hadn’t gotten well acquainted with him in the first place, so it was hard to feel bad about it. Even so, where did that leave her? She thought it meant she wouldn’t have to take part in this crazy way any more, but the command seals were still on her hand. That meant that she was still a master. Much to her dismay. If so, where was her servant?
Oh? What was that over there? Among the crowd there was a lone child walking about. Her clothing was rather odd and it looked like she had a toy sword around her. Was she a young cosplayer in the making? Well, she couldn’t just leave the poor thing alone. She was probably looking for her parents! If only you knew, Seras. Wasting no time, Seras made her way over to the young Lass in order to lend her her aid.
“Hello!~ Are you lost by any chance? Perhaps I could be of assistance.”
"Yay! I'm not lost now!"
Yachiru wasn't certain, but this woman was blonde, just like the one the Grail had summoned her for. Small hands reached out, towards the other woman, wanting to see if she was marked too. So she hadn't managed to get lost, after all - she'd found her Master. Why else would the blonde be familiar to her, and not already have a nickname?
They were both, probably, in for a shock - Yachiru had no idea what the Grail war was actually about, even with the knowledge she'd been given. Why would people fight over a cup? It was obviously the prize, for whoever was the strongest, although she couldn't see why. Still, it would be fun to fight for it, whatever the reason was, and it was always cool to watch other people fighting too.
"I'm your servant, right?" Poor Seras...

And in the meantime, it wasn’t as if the King of Conquerors was doing his very best to fit in with the people of Fuyuki. He stood a good head or two above most of them, so it was a little difficult to keep a low profile. The ripped muscles coupled with the apparently “dorky” t-shirt didn’t matter much, since that particular combination tended to attract a lot of attention.
At least the Rider was enjoying himself. It was good to be back in the world, with all its modern conveniences and means of entertainment. He simply couldn’t believe all the gaming systems that had come out in his absence! Touch screens, wireless communication, information obtainable from all over… the world was certainly a different place now. Everything was so connected.
Unfortunately, Iskander had no idea where his Master could be. Probably wandering, or doing… well, he didn’t know his Master too well yet, so Iskander wasn’t sure what his Master’s habits were. Ah well. Knowing people and how they worked came with time, patience, and a lot of effort.
“… Eh?” It seemed like there was a tiny girl wandering about. Where were her parents? Guardian? Anyone? It was okay for a big, intimidating guy like Iskander to wander around by himself, but it wasn’t at all okay to leave a kid to wander in the city. Kings could pick them up and chastise the parents for not watching their child.
“Heya… girl. Where’s your mom and dad?”
"Huh?"
This man was even bigger then Kenpachi, although her Captain's hair would probably go above his head. Looking up at him, she smiled, waving. He wasn't her Master, that much she could tell, but someone of his size had to be in this war.
"I don't have them. Just Ken-chan!"
He'd looked after her, before they'd ended up in the Soul Society, and he'd given her the name she used. There was a rule, or something, about not saying people's names, but she'd ignore it - as far as she was concerned, nobody from her division could lose, so it wouldn't matter if people knew their names.
Back to the Grail War. Was he a servant, or just really big? Tugging on his cape, she peered up at him, trying to see if he had the marks on his hands too, to see if she should be ready. It would be strange, fighting on her own, if it turned out that was what she'd have to do. "Cape Man! Are you part of this grail war too?"
That nickname would do for now, unless he gave her a reason to change it. Jumping up and down in excitement, she released the cape of the King of Conquerors, grinning at him. "You are! Do you fight people? Have you fought Ken-chan? What do you do, Cape Man?"

"This is cool!"
Wasn't she supposed to be finding her Master, or Ken-chan? Probably, but that thought had only crossed her mind for a moment, before she'd realised where she was. The human world!
That meant there were sweets, somewhere, that someone would get for her! There was so much she could do, now that she was here. Still, there was something else on her mind, something about the Grail War. Ken-chan would win it, of course, but she'd have to fight too, for someone.
Back to the task at hand, until she got lost or distracted, again. She had to find her master, and then Ken-chan. That way, she'd know what she was supposed to do, for this person. "Okay!" All she had to do was find them, and with her excellent sense of direction, it wouldn't be an issue!
It was only after she'd realised she'd ended up back in front of the place she'd first found herself that she began to question that. Oh well, she'd figure it out eventually, walking off in the same direction, already forgetting which way she'd taken the first time. And all the others, but they didn't count.
Yachiru would be an odd sight, even for this city - less than four feet tall, bright pink hair, and wheeling a katana around, continually inspecting the marks on her arm - her hand was too small for them, it seemed. Looking left, then right, then left again, it would be obvious she was more than a little lost, even if Yarichu wouldn't admit to it.
"Maybe I should just find Ken-chan!"
