Hyperwing has her updated design now!
The small mech giggled, nodding his helm in agreement. âI like hanging out here because of that! Lotsa birdies and fishies!â
He pointed back to the water, still eyeing her closely. âSee, I can swim with the fishies in that! I think I scared them first, but now we are friends! And then I catch bugs for my birdie friends. Except for Bill. Bill is a mean old bird so he donât get any snacks.â Tundra glanced over to a large, fat duck floating a ways off as he said this, sticking his tongue out at it. âYou better not mess with Bill. He scary!â
Starter Call for the bird child!
I will be putting these out shortly, but the call is still open!
Starter Call for the bird child!
âOnce upon a time, there were two happy bots! They were in love, and lived happy long lives! They looked like this!â
She is much too proud of her... story. And her drawing. But Hyperwing is going to show it off to everyone she sees.
Starter Call!
For Hyperwing. I will write those when I get home from work :)
Concept art complete. Hyperwingâs new frame is a go

With a soft ex-vent, Hyperwing shifted her position. Tucked up in a good vantage point, she was trying desperately to clean out the dirt under her feathers. Even that could mess with her aerodynamics, so the minibot took the opportunity to take a rest and get back to peak condition.
Or what could be considered peak condition, in any case.
It was due to this intent focus on her task that she didn't notice anyone approaching the area until they were upon her. Or rather, beneath her. Startled, she let out a surprised cry, wings flapping to steady herself and keep from falling out of her perch.
Sunstreaker reaches up as he sees the bird flailing and he grasps it and holds it. Seeing dirt on the poor thing he hums. still holding it so it canât fly off he pulled a microfiber cloth out and began to wipe it clean. His hold was firm but also gentle and he shifted around so that he forced a wing out to wipe. Sunstreaker has no idea the bird was a beast former. âPretty little thing you are.â He murmured to it.
The moment servos grasped her frame, startled that the mech had actually, well, grabbed her like that! The momentary shock kept her from immediately reacting, and so Hyperwing remained silent as she was manhandled and... Cleaned?
The mech was cleaning her?
"H-Hey... You don't just grab somebot without asking, you know?" Hyperwing mumbled, optics sizing the mech up, but making no effort to break free.
Sunstreaker was shocked at first, he had honestly though the stupid little bird was non sentient. Apparently it was just a clumsy little beast former instead. âYou were falling. I caught you before you would fall. Thought you were just another part of the fauna.â He loosened his grip now that he knew it wasnât a bird that would take flight immediately and he kept cleaning under the wing.
âIf I had known you were sentient I would have let you fall.â He wouldnât have but she didnât need to know that.
A small ex-vent escaped her when the grip loosened. Still she, she stared up at the bot warily, unable to ascertain if he meant what he said. It was a long moment before Hyperwing spoke again, having reached a decision.
"You don't mean that. That was an instinctual movement. It was too clean an action."
A yellow and orange bird landed, setting down a small box that had been clutched in the talons. Blue optics stared upwards, watching intently. "Delivery. Designation, please?" (mini-squared)
âDelivery?â Minimus Ambus peeks up from his datapad, stylus in his servo, âI wasnât aware that we were scheduled for any deliveries. Iâm Minimus Ambus. Who is the delivery for? Where do I need to sign?â
@mini-squared
mini-squared·:
âWas I supposed to ask for payment?â
If it was possible to look more bewildered, she would have. Hyperwing stared at Minimus with a mixture of intent concentration and conflicting thoughts. Slowly, she checked her datapad andâŠ
âT-that isâŠ! Too much!â She looked back up with alarm. âI-I am not used to this amount! I mean⊠I started delivering things during the war, but I never thought to transition to payment now⊠Th-thank you, but⊠I couldnât possibly take this!â
âWell usually when one does a job, one usually gets paid. That is purpose of a job. To get paid. For the most part anyways.â Honestly.. Had this mini-bot been delivering this entire time without having gotten paid even once? That was a crime of its own and Minimus would know considering he knew the law like the back of his servo.
âPlease,â He holds up his other hand, not taking no for an answer, âTake it. You did a job well done and you deserve to be rewarded.â The load bearer makes his way past her, pausing at the door, âIf you wish, I can see you off, but as I said the shanix is yours.â
"Uhm...!"
Hyperwing hesitated, looking between her datapad and the mech. Her optics were sparked with uncertainty, finding it difficult to straight out believe in this ... Generosity. In the past, things like this were...
Her smile returned to her face as she forced those thoughts aside. This was a new era. She didn't have to worry about that anymore. "T-Thank you for your kindness!"
She shuffled after him, datapad clutched close to her frame. Her field sparked with enthusiasm as she did so. "You taught me something new! I am really grateful!"

âI am Tundra!â
He waved in greeting, as if he hadnât already been talking to her. Blue optics brimmed with excitement-it had been a while since he talked to another bot like this, and it made his spark flutter with joy.
âDo you live here? This is a nice place, after all!â
 ~~~~~~
âThatâs a nice name.â Hope commented, being honest.
Tundra, a fitting name for the little mech considering his alternative form was a seal. She didnât say that of course because that would be rude. She did wave back though and shifted herself to be more comfortable.
 "No, I donât live here exactly. But I do live around here. I like to watch the animals around here.â
"The animals are nice!"
Tundra beamed, excitement pouring out of him in waves. He clapped his servos together as he spoke, childish glee in his optics.
"The fishies are fun to chase, and the birds sing real pretty! Do you like the birds?"
mini-squared:
âNO!â
The word escaped her before there was even time to process it. Her spark surged in frustration, and the internal feelings quickly became present in her expression. Small servos clenched into tight fists, optics burning bright.
âNo, I donât understand! I-Iâm⊠Iâm not strong, but I wont sit back and let you get hurt! I wonât run away!â
Feathers bristling, she jerked away from the touch- the same touch she found so comforting just moments before. Hyperwing shook her helm, trying to organize her thoughts. âYou⊠you are more important in this fight. If anything, I should be covering for you! I am the expendable one here⊠I wonât let anyone get hurt because of me!â
Crossline rocked back on his heels, shocked at her outburst. Heâd misjudged the âbot, thatâs for sure. For once, he had little to say. A heavy ex-vent left the green mech, head dropping to hide what little of his face was visible.
He was frustrated. Autobots were so fragginâ selfless. He should just let her do what she wants.
âIâve been doinâ this too long.â He muttered under his breath. Straightening from his crouch, he turned away from Hyperwing. Theyâd been sitting around so long, any Decepticons that might attack wouldâve already done it.
âFine, weâll get out together if thereâs a fight. But maybe I should have a chat with your superior about his soldier considering herself expendable.â Turning back to look at her over his wings, his eyes curled in a smile. Everyoneâs contribution meant something. Thatâs why he was here, right?
âEvery effort in this war is worthwhile. Considering soldiers expendable is what gets us graveyard planets. You call yourself that âround me again, and Iâll make you regret it, birdy.â
"Eh?"
Hyperwing stared into the other's optics, absorbing the words. "W-wait, you don't have to bring anyone into this! I won't say it again, okay! Promise!"
The thought of Optimus or anyone else higher up the ladder hearing about her saying such things... She would get chewed out for sure!
Straightening her posture, she tried to look and sound more confident in herself. At least, she could try that. For now.
"L-Lead the way!"
Right so there might be another delay with my replies.
I am currently home sick.
No, it does not seem to be COVID-19. I dont have a cough or anything. But I don't feel great so I am doing a lot of resting.
Sorry for the extended delay!
Hey guys!
I will be finishing up the next round of replies either tonight or tomorrow. Work has been crazy, as for some reason people are scrambling for loans right now ... Why in the middle of a pandemic they want that, I have no idea. But whatever, it ain't my money.
However, because of this rush to the banks I have been real tired, so really my free time has been self care because my anxiety has been really high with the world going to shit. And right now self care entails avoiding reality and playing Animal Crossing, where the only things that can hurt me are bugs and the looming debt to Tom Nook.
I think I have 3(?) more replies left, so if by Thursday I haven't replied to one we have active, then please let me know!
Thanks for being so patient with me. Also, I am working on a little project that I hope to have ready by this Sunday! It will be an interactive thing, so please stay tuned!
