YEah they are- DEE! Those are the humans! They’re native! They weren’t saying anything mean about you, were they?
And get out here and take these cubes, my arms are tired!
“Oh!” He comes out from behind the trees and easily takes the cubes, caught between staring hungrily at them and asking more questions.
“Humans? No, I… One of them exclaimed something when it saw me and I think another called me huge and they started asking each other questions, like if they thought I was a… I don’t know that word, Decepticon. They started running towards me, so I hid.”
“Who are all of these for? You have rations here for three!”
Frag I can’t believe they even still remember the Decepticons…
We have big rations here! Eat up!
(Bee sits right the hell down in the snow, already ready to power down. He’s tired from work this morning, too busy of a day to get away to check on D-16 and too watched to duck away when work was over.) I’m working on getting you something more permanent to stay in… how you liking the trees, though? You sleeping okay under the stars?
“Big...” D-16 downed one of the cubes in just a few gulps, marveling at the second when he offered it to Bee and he insisted that it too was for him. This one he savored, settling down beside the minibot.
“It’s too amazing for words. There’s wind here like I’ve never felt, crisp and clear. Oh! When I woke up, these little things all flew away in a cloud, like scraplets! I almost jumped out of my plating- but they were scared of me, and only came back when stood very still. One even landed on me! It said its name was Awk, but I think that’s just all it could say. That was its answer to every question.”
With permission, he started on a third cube, feeling light-headed as his fuel levels went past 85%. He’d be able to run off of this for a week!
“There’s so much of everything here... Are you gonna stay tonight?” He tried not to sound hopeful, but with everything here so alien it was fascinating and beautiful, but a little lonely too.
