I finished the episode where Beau and Caleb first dream of the eyes and wake up with the eye tattoos and I am so incredibly amused by Matt being like, well, you know, it was your choice to read the book, you didn't *have* to, as though he didn't 1000% know he was dangling catnip right in front of Liam and Marisha the whole time. There was absolutely no way Marisha was not getting her hands on that book, and Liam might not be quite as puzzle motivated but he *is* very character motivated, and there's no way *Caleb* was not getting his hands on that book.

Super curious to see where that goes now, though. Right now, they're fighting a dragon. As one does when playing Dungeons and Dragons.

Unfortunately I’ve been reading too much Jane Austen lately while also being obsessed with essek and the dynasty in general but literally WHAT is den thelyss’ social standing now that their umavi is permanently dead? Typhros is supposedly very taboo and secret, are they going to have to come up w some other public reason Deirta died and won’t be coming back this time? Have any of the ruling dens ever lost an umavi permanently? Is essek about to be stuck in a Bennet Sisters-esque situation where he isn’t in a good position to inherit his fathers estate mothers position as den leader due to being a daughter unconsecuted new soul and have to worry about making nice with Mr Collins type extended/adopted relatives with more lives under their belts that are more qualified to be the next umavi? Is he gonna be under pressure to marry a rich man form alliances with consecuted people w reborn souls to keep his dens standing strong? Is this kinda high society drama gonna tie into his beef with adeen tasithar? Or would he be largely safe from this kind of fallout bc of his family’s privileged relationship with the queen? Will he be under renewed pressure to get consecuted if he wants to retain leadership of his den?

TLDR the idea of essek having to navigate an Austenian caliber inheritance clusterfuck on top of the treason, heresy, assassination attempts and cult busting he already had on his plate during the xhorhas/angel of irons arc is intoxicating to me

I feel like simply calling JK Rowling a transphobe isn't strong enough anymore. Like. This is not your grandpa calling you by your deadname at a restaurant kind of transphobic. This is her wanting to eradicate all trans people (with an extra special hatred towards trans women specifically).
