Another yelp escaped Raven as Yoongi took her in his arms. Her hands instinctively gripped onto the front of his jacket in fear of falling. Well, this is better than missing the last train.
She frantically searched for her metro card as they approached the gate. With lightning-quick reflexes, she passed the card over the sensor.
Yoongi delicately put her back on her feet. She grabbed onto one of the hanging straps before she could fall on her face as the train moved.
“It’s more like you made it. I didn’t do anything,” retorted Raven, taking a seat beside Yoongi, sitting closer than she would if she was next to someone else.
Her head tilted towards Yoongi as he spoke. “Yeah, I am.” Raven glanced at the train map displayed above. “That means I’m getting off first, then,” she muttered, voice laced with disappointment. Why did it have to end?
Another silence passed, but Raven snickered as she reminisced on the moment earlier. “You know, I didn’t expect for you to carry me.” A digital voice interrupted, but Raven does not hear what station they’re at, too caught up in her laughter. “A small part of me thought you would just leave me on the streets,” she joked, although she was slightly serious.
Yoongi smirked lightly at the dark-haired girl’s retort, humming quietly as she took a seat next to him.
“I guess. But you’re here with me, right?” he grinned, blushing lightly as he noticed the proximity between them. “That counts as ‘we’ in my book.” the mint-haired boy laughed, glancing up at the railway map as Raven spoke.
Three stops until Seongdong-gu…
“It would seem so.” Yoongi sighed, his expression dampening at the realization. A silence passed between the pair, one that was soon broken by the amused snickers of the dark-haired girl.
“Leave you?” The words stung against Yoongi’s ears. He attempted to laugh off the feeling, returning Raven’s half-serious tone. “Now why would I do that?” the mint-haired boy joked, his voice shaking ever so slightly.
Does she not trust me? Well, of course not. You just met, dumbass…
Yoongi shook his head slightly, chasing off the imminent mental debate before it could develop any further.
“Next stop: Seongdong-gu.” the automated voice sounded, the train doors closing once more before speeding off towards the destination.
“Ah,” Yoongi began, anxiously clearing his throat before continuing. “Sounds like we’re almost there…” he paused, glancing around the train car as he tried to organize his thoughts.
“You sure you’ll be fine walking alone?”
