especially when you're practically hanging off him like a koala twenty-four-seven.
you’re the kind of girlfriend who doesn’t knock, just walks right in, throws your bag on the floor like it personally offended you, and immediately climbs onto his back like it’s your birthright. and nagi? doesn’t even flinch. he just adjusts his posture so you don’t fall off and keeps playing his game, one arm curled under your legs to hold you in place.
“you didn’t even say hi,” he mumbles, but you can feel the smile in his voice.
you squish your cheek into his shoulder blade. “your skin said hi. that counts.”
he sighs. “lazy.”
“look who’s talking.”
but gosh, he loves it. he doesn’t say it often, but he’s a complete sucker for your touchy behavior. it makes him feel wanted, needed, even if you're just poking his face while he’s trying to nap or tangling your legs with his under the kotatsu.
when you’re walking beside him, your arm always loops through his like you’ll die without contact. sometimes you even swing them dramatically like you're on some sort of romantic anime opening. nagi doesn’t stop you. he just blinks down at your hands, mumbles “mm” like it’s the most natural thing in the world, and lets you drag him around like a big sleepy husband.
and when you’re on the couch together? you don’t sit on the couch, you melt onto him. across his lap. in his hoodie. on his chest. under his blanket. even if it’s a hundred degrees out, you’ll still find a way to burrow into his arms like a human furnace.
“aren’t you hot?” he’ll ask.
“yeah, but your arms are my air conditioning.”
“… that doesn’t make sense.”
“neither does my love for you.”
nagi blinks slowly at the screen, dies in-game, and then kisses the top of your head like he’s been doing it forever.
also, he never used to hold hands much, but now you’ve trained him like a pro. you’ll sneak your hand into his at random – while grocery shopping, on walks, or while waiting in line – and now he does it without thinking. even once reached for your hand in his sleep, like his body just knew you were too far.
sometimes you jump on his back and demand he piggybacks you around the house like it’s normal.
“you’ve got legs,” he mutters as he stands up with you clinging to him like a sleepy monkey.
“they’re just for aesthetics,” you yawn.
“cheater,” he says, but again, he doesn’t complain. if anything, he takes the long way to the kitchen.
and every time you nuzzle into his chest when you’re tired, or tuck your hands into his hoodie sleeves, or wrap your arms around his neck out of nowhere with a sleepy “love you, sei,” he just hugs you tighter.
because for someone who used to hate effort… loving you feels effortless.

i might have to redo the manga cover I drew because I did tweak her a bit to look more like how i pictured her. she took 11 hours, thats almost twice how it usually takes... i really enjoyed doing her hair, but her outfit took me an outrageously long time because I didn't know what she'd wear and also I chose the most complicated skirt I saw on pinterest for NO REASON?
I like the fact that this one makes her look tall, the loafers are kind of out of place but that's something she'd like to be honest. what do you prefer? tori hair up or down? 😋, I think she'd put it up when she's playing. the color scheme is pretty boring, but very comfortable.

I doodled a bird because tori's name is derived from the japanese name Tori ( 鳥 ) meaning bird, I chose this because I always saw tori as the type to soar high ! ><, she's a little fragile at times but like a bird she'll always try to get back up so she can fly back up.
I drew a sun because tori radiates positive and happy energy, like the rays in the sun.

You and your best friend Hiori had a sleepover at his house. He slept in a sleeping bag on the floor and you had his bed. That morning, you woke up with a random pain in your leg. You try to get up but the pain was so intense. You try crawling out of the bed and touch the floor with your hands. You lost balance and your legs hit the floor hard.
Hiori wakes up because of the loud thud you made when you fell. He immediately gets out of the sleeping bag and lifts you up and places you on the bed again. “Is this another bad leg day for you?” You nodded your head yes. He lets out a little sigh, “I just wish you would go see a doctor about it. Let me go find a brace or a wrap.”
You play on your phone as you wait for him to come back. Minutes later, he comes back with an ice pack, a wrap, and a brace! He grabs the pillow next to you that you aren’t using and places it underneath your leg. Then, he places the ice pack on it and presses it down a bit.
After he’s done with applying the ice, he uses the wrap and carefully wraps it around your leg. He tries not to make it too tight, just enough for it to be secured. Then he slips the brace on your leg gently. He leaves the room again and hands you a water bottle.
He sits next to you on the bed, “I’m going to serve you breakfast in bed, is pancakes alright?” You nodded your head yes. He gets out of bed and goes into the kitchen.
Hiori comes back in the room with a tray. Pancakes on a big plate and other fruits in a little bowl. He cuts the pancakes up for you and pours syrup on it. He gently smiles at you, “if you need anything else, let me know. I’m always glad to take care of you.”
After you get finished eating, Hiori takes the tray and takes it back into the kitchen. When he returns, you thank him for the hospitality and the kindness. His eyes lit up all of a sudden, “I forgot, you might want some pain relief pills. Let me go and find a bottle of ibuprofen.”
He comes back and places the bottle on the nightstand. “Do you need to take some now? Or, do you want to wait?” You smile at him, “I’ll wait, I want to try to go back to sleep.” He helps you lay down and slowly moves your leg a little bit. “Thank you, Hiori. You’re the bestest friend ever.” He smiles, “this is what friends are for. Go back to sleep, I’ll be sitting at my desk doing homework.”

even as his knuckles hovered near your door, rain soaking through his sleeves, he knew it was wrong. but he knocked anyway, because guilt is a heavy thing and your name was the only thing that ever made it lighter. he thought maybe you wouldn’t answer. part of him hoped you wouldn’t. maybe that would’ve been kinder, for both of you.
but you opened it. you always did. you didn’t ask questions. didn’t demand anything. and that was the problem, wasn’t it? you loved him too quietly, and he took advantage of that silence every time.
you let him in. he kissed you first. he always did.
