[ park bo young, twenty three, female, she/her ] â hey, I just saw [ park min soo ] walking down the streets of crownsville. theyâve lived in town for [ 3 days ], and you can catch them around town working as a [ unemployed  ]. I hear theyâre known to be [ hopeful & optimistic ] and [ vulnerable & naive ]. if asked, they would say their aesthetic would be [ people smiling, doodling, painting, reading, the sea ]. Â
trigger warnings: abuse, violence, memory loss, pregnancy Â
min soo was born in busan, south korea. she was a daddyâs girl growing up until around the age of six when he left for work abroad and she hasnât seen him since. due to him leaving her mother on her own, the young woman couldnât handle it and she gave min soo to her uncle and her aunt. Â
they brought her up for four years until the age of ten, when her mother decided she wanted to take her back. minsoo wasnât actually sure, even at a young age, about how her mother could dump her and just pick her back up whenever she pleased.Â
she also didnât like her motherâs boyfriend, he was a drunk, a mess and he hated her. heâd threaten her, sometimes even locking her in the cupboard near the back door, or even just locking her out of the house. sheâd miss school for days on end, and eventually the older she got the more rebellious she became. especially when they moved from busan to the us.Â
she hated not only him and her own mother because she allowed her boyfriend to do whatever he wanted. when min soo was sixteen she was going out and staying out until late hours just so she didnât need to go home.Â
but she hated being in the US, at least back in busan she knew people, sheâd had friends, she liked the food, she could speak the language.Â
the few friends she had always got to go home and be safe where as she stayed out, was around dodgy people. all just to keep herself away from her mother and her boyfriend and this continued on for months, up until she turned 18. it was then she decided she wasnât doing it anymore. she wouldnât allow the abuse to continue.Â
one night when the boyfriend started his shit, minsoo stood up for herself, which didn;t end well but she knew she had to at least try. she tried desperately to try and find out where her father was, but came out short.Â
her twentieth birthday came around and minsoo literally had nothing to show for anything sheâd tried to achieve. sheâd gotten into her art school that sheâd desperately wanted to go too, only for her mother not to let her go so she missed the opportunity.Â
it took months but eventually she found her father, his address, and everything to do with him. happily sheâd trailed to where he lived, only to find that he had completely moved on. he had a new family, a wife, three kids.Â
so minsoo had to go back to her mother because she had nowhere else to go. she felt alone, and miserable and it continued for what felt like forever. she did have one friend at least that helped her out and she ended up having a one night stand, for him to not contact her her again. so now even more miserable.Â
a few months after she lost contact with her friend, the final straw came when her motherâs boyfriend hit her, and minsoo had just walked in on it. despite the fact that she hated her motherâs boyfriend, she wouldnât allow him to hurt her mother.Â
they got into a fight, and it turned extremely violent and minsooâs head was hit a little too hard off of something and sheâd blacked out for a while. when she woke up, she was cold, her head was a mess and sticky with blood, and she had no recollection of how sheâd ended up out in the middle of nowhere.Â
with the help of someone else, she was brought into crownsville, with absolutely no memory of what happened or why she was there, of her parents, of anything and she has no idea sheâs two months pregnant.Â
