Hello, this is the blog for Minor Calamity scans! A trial team founded by tumblr users shinkineyuki and thegirlwithapurpletail to work on the manga Noragami! I don't want to make anyone feel bad or have them feel like they did something wrong, but I feel like this small detail needs to be said.

Fan translators work hard to bring content to you as fast as they can, with as much quality as they can access. So you can imagine that when you are working hard to make something happen and someone comes in and does it beforehand when it is well aware that someone is already working on it, it tends to bring frustration and ill feelings to the translators. It just gives off the feeling that the fandom doesn't care, as long as it's getting translated.

Noragami has many impatient fans that I've seen. (Not speaking for all of you--but a good majority of manga readers are very persistent, wanting an update again almost immediately as one comes out. Noragami is a monthly manga, and updates once a month. You just can't rush a process like manga creation.) I know it's really hard to wait for an update. Trust me, I do. But there is still the very dedicated fast-moon to do translations for the main manga, and she is doing her best to get it done in a timely fashion.

All I'm asking is that you guys give a little respect to the dedication these translators give to deliver these scans in English.

Hey there! I haven't updated things in a while, so I'm just here to say that Chapter 2 of Noragami Shuuishuu is 96% completed! Should be out within the next couple of days.

I actually displayed the credits wrong for that chapter, and I'm in the process of fixing it. The download link has been fixed, but please note that the Translator and Cleaner  were switched. gyozahime was the cleaner and Glynis was the translator!

To Typesetter-san: Try fitting the words in the bubbles so that they have a diamod-like shape and leave a bit more space between the bubble and text (bigger text that collides with the bubble is harder to read). All in all, thanks a bunch for a great chapter and have a happy new year! Spread the love :D

Ahh, I see! Alright, thank you. It was my first type-setting job, so it was a bit rough. I will keep the diamond-shape bit in mind along with the space next time. Again, thank you for the feedback! I hope to get better each time I do it so any tips and feedback is encouraged if readers find any errors or notice something out of the ordinary.

Merii Kusirumasu MC scans <3 Thanks so much for this chapter, we greatly appreciate your hard work! Just some notes from someone hardly experienced as me.. To Cleaner-san: Good Job bringing out the whites and blacks with a bad raw (i know this is tough), just always remember, it's better to underlevel than to overlevel an image so that it doesn't became pixelated and rough.

Thank you! As a note from the typesetter, the raws weren't really that great to begin with--cleaning of other chapters were actually really well done! It just depends on the quality of the raws, to be honest. Thank you so much for the feed back!

Unexpectedly, the team pulled through and got the Christmas Bonus finished earlier than first anticipated! The team really pulled through. :D Seeing as this is our first finished scanlation, feedback would be much appreciated. Just remember that the raws were not the best, so we could only work with what was provided.

First of all, thanks a lot for forming a new group and translating Noragami <3 *-* And, you see, I work in a Spanish translation group called OmaWei Fansub and there I translate Noragami into Spanish <3 Well, I saw you're planning to translate Shuuishuu and I want to ask for your permission to re-translate it once you've finished. Sure! I don't see why not. Our translator is running a bit behind, but I luckily have another translator working on the christmas bonus at the moment, so hopefully that'll be done soon. Thank you for the inquiry!

Projects Status (Shuuishuu 2 and 3 + Christmas Bonus)

There are probably many of you wondering the status on the projects that we are currently doing. Due to Finals Hell, (This is what Nana likes to call Exam season) quite a few of our members have been very busy. Along with the Holidays, our release dates have been pushed further back than I expected. Anyway! These are our current projects, along with what has been done/what needs to be done.

Noragami Shuuishuu Chapter 2

Done: Cleaning In Progress: Translations Not Started: Typesetting Noragami Shuuishuu Chapter 3

Done: In Progress: Cleaning (mostly finished I assume), Translations Not Started: Typesetting

And I'm planning the future chapter of the Christmas Bonus, which will be out ASAP as well. I'm mostly waiting on translations, so I ask everyone to be patient. I hope that once break and summer are upon us, it'll be easier to get projects completed.

As it has been stated, right now we are working on the Shuuishuu chapters. As of the current moment, user fast-moon is handling the chapter updates! So this is actually a question for her. (Though considering how new the chapter is, it will probably be at least a couple of days.) We will be translating the actual manga chapters, but probably not until we've got a planned, working system. Shuuishuu is in progress of being translated, though! Thank you so much for your patience. :)

I've waited a few days now but if you don't give me some form of contact besides tumblr--even an email is fine!--we won't be able to get anything done. If I can't transfer scans to the cleaners, how exactly are they going to get done? If you're not serious about working on this project, you need to let me know.
