I wanna just talk about Xiumin for a sec. I wanna talk about this guy who debuted in a foreign country where it was harder to gain fans in the beginning because of the language barrier and because his lines in Exo-M (and now Exo) songs are minimal at best. How his dancing was always just as good as Kaiās or Layās but he never got to show it off until 3 years after debut. How he was fat shamed for the entire Mama era, so much so that the Xiumin from the Wolf era looks DRAMATICALLY different because he dropped so much weight. And then when he finally got recognition and became theĀ ātrendā it was just for being hot and only after he lost weight. Heās got a great voice and never gets to use it. Heās stated that heās shy but he still presents himself to a global audience day after day and thatās no small feat. Heās had it so rough since debut and the majority of convos about him are like Ā ānice absā andĀ āluhan loves himā and worst of all āhis voice isnāt where it should be after all this timeā despite him never getting an actual chance to show it. Iām so glad that everyone is proud of him for the work heās put into his body and theyāre hyped because Iām sure heās hyped too, it takes hard, continuous work to be fit like that. But Iām hyped for Mama era Xiumin too who got called a bun because of his cheeks over and over again which was just a cutesy insult used in place of calling himĀ āfat face.ā A lot of the members have masterposts of reasons to sympathize with them and I feel like Xiu is ājust kinda thereā sometimes. Iām just, Iām here for Xiumin and I want him to shine no matter what.
