This translation is by Dr. Eileen Chengyin Chow (and my favorite for sure!)

A collection of some of my hand-drawn horror looping animations!
best scene in the prequels is when anakin and padme have just landed on naboo & padme goes “hmm being a childqueen might’ve fucked me up a bit” and anakin, former 9yo slave separated from his mom, confronted for perhaps the first time with the idea that childhood trauma effects you later in life, goes “nuh uh”
his face lol. “wait you were too young to have a career at 14?? but that would mean….”
it used to be 2007 you know

“were you sent by someone who wanted me dead?” is such a simple yet cutting lyric. it’s an absolutely perfect way to describe the feeling of being betrayed by someone you love so much. some betrayals are so unfathomable that we do anything to try and rationalize it, we blame the universe or god or some other force beyond our understanding because our minds can’t rationalize what’s happened to us and our hearts can’t accept that kind of pain.
