i could be a good mother………….and i wanna be your wife………
imo it's much funnier if obi wan is the only guy to immediately go for the limb chop. no-one else is doing it. up in the air whether he knows he's the only one limb chopping or if he thinks it's normal and everyone is slicing and dicing.
i can maybe see anakin bringing it up but also anakin has no authority to be calling other people wierd
it is funny that the climatic moment of the first six star wars movies hinges on luke cutting off vaders hand and going…wait…..i’ve become just like him….the cycle stops now…..meanwhile there’s his mentor spiders kenobi who cuts off 1000 limbs a day and dgaf. i’m not saying obi wan is evil but u have to admit that’s funny
you can’t even say it’s a retcon that obi wan likes to cut off limbs remember this shit. he was so happy to do that

In a universe where you can get robotic limb replacements do you think that’s why Jedi are so happy to go lopping off peoples limbs assuming they can have them replaced. Not that negates the physical trauma of the injury or the psychological effects of limb loss. If people are going to argue about the Jedi purposefully disabling people not a big deal, they could at least make the discourse interesting within context of the setting, though Jedi still 100% are war criminals and people just need to get behind that
correct me if im wrong but i think "jedi" is too general a use it seems to be just specifically obi wan who really loves to chop off limbs. but he also doesn't take any pride in it which is so interesting...chastising vader for being "more machine now than man" as oomf pointed out. like that's your signature move and you can't own it....he's a man of contrasts

jedi discourse is so funny they’re trying to argue amputation is no big deal in the comments. to defend a fictional religions valor. im gonna start saying vader cutting off lukes arm was no big deal see how it lands
the people are waking up #dexternation #dextersweep
been watching the originals for the first time and this was what i thought of when i got to this bit
wind kept knocking my power out today so i had to draw this stupid bit out on PAPER
