I've been obsessed lately with headcanons about the gems dance styles we're unaware of. I'm hoping Peridot is a tapper considering Shelby Rabara's background in dance and the metal on the bottom of the shoes. I feel like Jasper would do some form of African tribal dance. My friend does that style and the amount of power she dances with is very intimidating, and we know Jasper is all about intimidating her foes (the whole cape thing in Jailbreak). The only one I'm stuck on is Lapis. Any thoughts?
Lapis I could see being very ballroom, or potentially even lyrical in style. She’s got a flair for the dramatics and I think either style would suit her and her musical themes well

I must say, as a black woman and with Jasper being voiced by a black voice actress, I am EXTREMELY uncomfortable with Jasper doing "some form of African tribal dance." There is no "African tribal dance", as Africa is made up of many different cultures, and to call the dancing "intimidating" and to align it with Jasper's aggression moves this message from “willful ignorance” and into “blatant racism.”
If anon finds their own friend’s dances intimidating, that sounds like a personal problem, and an extreme micro-aggression.
Perhaps maybe this question should have been ignored, because I have to stress stress how EXTREMELY uncomfortable this makes me, especially with the current issues of race and fandom still going on.
