Hi! I'm so sorry that it's been sooo long since I've last posted on this account 😅 there's been so much that has happened and I thought I'd at least update y'all to some degree.
First of all, if you hadn't seen some of my previous posts, I had knee surgery this time last year. I was trying to focus on this account to distract me from everything that was happening, but I lost a lot of motivation for a lot of things and that included this. BUT I will say, that I'm (mostly) back to normal again! I've been able to do so much more now, even though I'm still a little cautious with some movements.
Second, I'm on my last semester of college (finally 😭) and I'll be graduating in the next couple of months! So excited to finally be done! I don't have too heavy of a workload just yet, so hopefully this semester can go by smoothly and I can get my degree without any issues!
Third, I've decided that I'm going to try my hardest to get back into writing and posting on here! It might be slow at first as I try to get my schedule figured out, but I will post as often as I can! I'll be continuing the series I've started: Sorry, I Love You smau and the Fated written series, as well as posting little things in between to keep us all entertained. Please feel free to send in any requests, written or text based, you want to see from me! I'll get to them as soon as I can!
Lastly, I want to thank you all for sticking around. I'm sure there's a lot of accounts currently following me that have lost interest in this app or have disappeared for the time being like I have. And that I don't mind. Everyone has a different life and I hope that all of you reading this have had very good things happen to you and for you. And thank you to those that still read my works and send in your feedback! I'm glad that my work is still circulating and people are still enjoying it all!!
With that being said, I hope to start posting again in the next week or so. I want to get a few posts of SILY ready before I start posting that again to make sure I've got some ready in case I am busy during any given week. I'll type up some other small little posts for fun in the meantime, so please look out for those!

Chan
“What am I doing up? I couldn’t sleep. Why are you guys up?”
You’re leaned over the counter, arms folded in front of you as you rest your chin on them. Despite the time, you see a flood of comments and new viewers the longer you sit and talk with your fans. Answers range from them not being able to sleep themselves to watching your live while in class on the other side of the world, and everything in between.
“Oh, I see.” Pushing yourself off the counter, you begin to pull the necessary ingredients from the cupboards. “Well, I thought it would be fun to make some cookies and chat.”
It’s much more difficult to keep yourself from making a lot of noise as you work than you thought. You almost dropped the mixing bowl onto the floor after trying to read some of the comments, and when the oven beeped at you letting you know that it was done preheating, you swear it was just trying to get you into trouble.
Now, waiting for the cookies to finish baking, you’ve turned back to your phone, chatting with them about any topic they come up with. The handful of dad jokes and pick-up lines that make their way into the conversation have you reeling.
“There’s someone behind you.” You giggle. “Nah. It’s too early to do that to me. You can’t get me that easily.”
Though, the comments don’t let up that easily. You can’t see much through your phone screen, most of the screen taken up by the chat, but you can tell that nothing is there—or at least you think where it’s so dark in the rest of the apartment. You give them a few minutes, thinking that they’ll go back to chatting about their day or wanting to know about yours, but nothing changes.
“Ha ha, guys. Look there’s no one be– HOLY SHIT!”
The moment you catch the slightest movement of whatever was in the hallway, you throw yourself to the floor. Your head hits the oven door handle and Chan is quick to meet you on the floor to check for any bumps or bruises he might have caused.
“Oh my god, are you okay?” His voice is hoarse, but you can still hear the worry.
It takes you a moment, but you finally look up at him. You let out a deep sigh.
“Other than my heart wanting to jump out of my chest, I think so.”
Chan nods, kisses you on the forehead, and stands back up. He holds out his hands to you, helping you up, before turning to your phone still sitting on the countertop.
“Hi, starlings.” He waves, a wide smile forming on his face despite the fact that he is on the verge of knocking out at any moment. The chat runs wild, many people greeting him and directing some of their questions to him. It isn’t the first time he’s been in one of your lives, having been public about your relationship for some time now, but they are always excited to see his face whenever he does. He turns back towards you. “What are you doing still up?”
You shrug.
“Couldn’t sleep.”
Chan hums, squeezing your hands still in his. His head tilts to the side. A soft smile adorns his face.
“You could have just come to me.”
“I was craving cookies,” you sheepishly explain, gesturing to the timer on the oven. Only a couple minutes left.
He clicks his tongue. His hands leave yours, find their place on your hips, and pull you in closer. Your eyes widen by a fraction. It must be the sleepiness that’s making him so bold, you think. Before he can pull you in any closer, you place your hands on his chest.
“Chan, I’m still live,” you whisper.
He pouts slightly before whipping around to face your phone. Chan gives them one last smile, raising his eyebrows flirtatiously.
“Sorry to cut this short, but I’ve got to get them to bed.”
He waves towards the camera as he leans in to end the live. You offer a smile and a small wave before it ends. Once your phone is turned off, Chan turns back to you.
“Why’d you make it sound like that? Now they’re gonna clip that.”
He hums, pulling you closer once again. He nuzzles his face into the crook of your neck. You can feel the way his lips turn up into a smile with his muffled words. He squeezes your waist slightly.
“I didn’t mean anything by it. Sounds like someone’s head is somewhere else, huh?”
“Shut up,” you mumble, focusing on how much longer the cookies are going to take.
Minho
“Hi guys, I have to be quiet. Don't want to wake the sleeping beauty,” you giggle, hugging the bowl of cereal in your hands closer to your body.
You were already a bowl-full into your food before you decided to spontaneously go live. Though, your fans weren’t complaining. In fact, most of them found it entertaining to watch your reactions to what you were eating. It wasn’t often that you went live in the middle of the night, but you’ve definitely gone viral for the times you have.
“Oh my god this is so good. Who knew cereal at 3am was gonna be this good?”
You stuff your cheeks once more, eliciting a moan from you, a little too loud for your liking. Your legs almost give out as you feel yourself melting into the floor at the taste. A clearing of someone’s throat catches you off guard. Your head whips around to find Minho at the entrance of the hallway, his arms folded in front of him.
“Oh shit!”
You try not to spit out the food in your mouth. So much for keeping quiet. You fumble with your bowl, tossing it on the counter haphazardly, some milk and cereal splashes out of the bowl as you try to reach for your phone. But you aren’t quick enough.
“What the fuck are you doing out here?” Minho grumbles.
Eyes wide, your stare flicks between the screen and the boy at the other side of the kitchen.
“Sorry guys, gotta go!”
You give your phone a wide grin. Raising one hand to wave goodbye, you quickly press the end live button with the other. With pursed lips and wide eyes, you turn around to meet your late-night visitor. He raises a brow at you.
“You were live?”
“Yeah...”
Minho sighs, bringing his hands up to rub at his face.
“Stay are gonna have a field day with that one,” he chuckles lightly.
He makes his way closer to you to lean against the counter himself. He reaches out to grab your forgotten bowl, stir the contents around, almost as if he’d never seen it in his life. You take it from him, shoveling whatever is left in your mouth as you eye Minho carefully. He only laughs harder at you, trying to keep quiet to not wake anyone else up.
“You’re not going to get in trouble are you?” you mutter after swallowing your last bite.
Minho shrugs.
“Eh. Chan might have a word with me, but I don’t think anything will happen.”
Changbin
Any minute, your knees are going to give out from underneath you.
“Oh my god, this is so good,” you mumble as you take another bite.
Were you being dramatic? Maybe a little. But is it justified? Hell yes. You haven’t had your mom’s homemade food in such a long time.
“Mmmm.”
That does it for you. You’re a goner. Your knees crumple as you take another bite, your body disappearing from the camera’s view. The moment you finish this live, you have to text your mom to ask her when she can make you something again. You make a mental note.
Popping back up above the counter, you grab your phone, bringing it close enough that your face fills the frame.
“You can’t tell anyone that I’m eating this, okay?” you half whisper.
A quiet giggle breaks your focus.
“So you weren’t planning on sharing?”
Your face lights up at the sight of Changbin. He walks closer to you, glancing over at the half-empty container on the counter.
“Do you want some?”
He quickly reaches for it, digging into the food immediately. You glance down at the phone in your hand. The comments have exploded just from hearing Changbin’s voice. You step over to his side, pull the phone far enough back to put the both of you in frame, and gesture for Changbin to wave to your fans.
“Say hi to starlings!”
With a stuffed mouth, he waves to the camera.
“Hi guys!”
You watch as the comments flood in, answering a few here and there before one catches your eye. You giggle.
“Bin, they want to know what your secret is to looking as good as you do.”
He turns to face you a little more.
“You want to know the truth?” You hum, nodding along. His lips pull up into a cheesy grin. “It’s working out and their mom’s cooking. Best combination.”
The two of you end in a quiet fit of laughter, trying not to disturb the other people in the dorms. You answer more of the comments, reading them to Changbin until he finishes the rest of the food—not without giving you a couple more bites, though—before you decide to end the live. You glance at the time as you turn your phone off.
“Oh, is it really already 3:30? Oops. I don’t think my manager will be happy with me.”
You turn to Changbin with a shy smile. He stares at you wide-eyed at the revelation.
“Mine, too.”
Hyunjin
Your timer finally goes off. Three hours and two batches of cookies later, you find yourself becoming impatient. Though you’re barely taking the last batch out of the oven, the smell makes you want to devour every last one of them right away. Instead, you leave them to cool, turning to face your audience. They were the ones who suggested you make the cookies anyway.
“What should I do for the decorations?”
You wait for the comments to come in, watching as your fans send you some of the most ridiculous ideas for decorations.
“Draw your face in icing. Guys, I’m definitely not an artist. Have you seen my drawings?” you laugh. “You know who is an artist, though?”
Comments of Hyunjin’s name come flying in at record speed. It’s not the first time you’ve mentioned or hinted at him in your lives, and it certainly won’t be your last. Especially since you’ve announced your relationship to everyone already.
“Naw. I shouldn’t bother him. Or should I?” Youpause for a moment, thinking about how he might react to you waking him up at such an ungodly hour. “He’ll probably hate me for the next few hours, but I’m sure it’ll be worth it.”
Your fans become ecstatic. Motioning for them to wait, you leave the kitchen, your phone left on the counter facing the cookies letting them know to make sure nothing happens to them. You quickly rush over to Hyunjin’s room.
“Whyyy?”
You’re dragging your boyfriend by his wrist into the kitchen as he whines.
“They want to see your amazing talent!” you say as you point to the trays of cookies laying across the counter.
Hyunjin sighs.
“You woke me up in the middle of the night to decorate cookies?”
“Maybe?”
You give him a sheepish smile. He blinks at you tiredly, and turns aways to head back out of the kitchen.
“I’m going back to bed,” he mutters.
You quickly grab his arm gently. You’re turned away from the camera, so he’s the only one that can see your puppy dog eyes and small pout.
“Oh, come on, please? For me?”
Hyunjin thinks it over for a moment. He glances back towards your cookies and propped up phone and nods.
“Just one.”
Your lips turn up into a wide smile. Pulling him over to the empty part of the counter, you place the piping bags of colored icing in front of him. You set a single cookie from the first batch on a plate and hand it to him.
“Let’s see you work your magic!”
One cookie turned into two, and eventually that turned into a friendly competition between the two of you with your fans as the judges. Though, that wasn’t without a mess. You both ended up covered in icing and loose flour by the time you got to the last couple of cookies.
You stick another candy pearl in the icing on your cookie. Glancing over to see what Hyunjin has done, you notice how detailed the cookie he is currently decorating. Just like his own artwork, there’s an abstracted romantic look pictured on the surface.
“Stop making yours look better than mine,” you whine.
Hyunjin laughs. He looks up at you and sticks his tongue out playfully.
“You were the one who invited me to do this.”
You turn to your phone, leaning in enough to cover him from the viewers.
“Guys, please tell him something to get him to go back to bed. He’s taking over my live.”
The clearing of a throat behind the two of you have you freezing in place. Eyes wide, you turn to find Chan, arms crossed and eyebrow raised, in the doorway to the kitchen.
“I’ll tell you both something.”
You quickly grab your phone from the counter.
“Sorry starlings! Gotta go!” You quietly call out as you end the live.
The influx of comments laughing at you and Hyunjin being caught makes you want to laugh yourself. Though, the look on Chan’s face tells you to hold it in until you make it back to Hyunjin’s room. Maybe you can make amends with him with a couple cookies in the morning.
Jisung
“Milk. I need the milk.”
Tongue out, frantically running around the kitchen, you rush to grab the carton of milk in the fridge. You don’t care how crazy you look to your viewers currently. You just need the burning sensation gone. A couple drops of milk drip down your chin as you chug as much as you can. The moment you pull the carton back, you’re panting like a dog in the heat.
“I don’t know what possessed you guys into thinking that I could handle the heat. That was terrible.”
You walk back to the counter, take a seat on the barstool, and push the unfinished bowl of noodles aside. Even the smell of them now makes you feel a little sick.
“It felt like steam was coming out of my ears. Whoever thought that nuclear noodles was a good idea, needs to be fired. The spiciness almost outweighed the flavor!”
You read the comments for a moment, as you still try to calm your tongue. You curse the person who thought making noodles this spicy was a good idea.
“Don’t look up 2x nuclear noodles then. There’s spicier than this?”
You read a couple more, learning just how crazy your own fans are and their experiences with said noodles.
“10 times? You guys are insane.” You shake your head.
“I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep until the burning in my mouth is gone. There’s no way I’m letting you guys trick me into doing this again.”
The longer you go without speaking, the more you start to feel the burning in your mouth again. You swear the feeling should have been gone by now.
“I still feel it.”
You abruptly stand up and glance around the kitchen. What else can I use? When your eyes pass over the freezer once again, you suddenly remember something. Without another word, you run over, open the door, and grab the one thing you know that will help.
“Ah, muth bethar.”
With your tongue pressed against the pint of ice cream, you finally feel the relief. You turn back around to head over to the counter again, but stop in your tracks the moment you meet eyes with Jisung. He rubs his eyes tiredly. He was really only there to get a glass of water, surprised to see you standing in the middle of the kitchen.
“Is that my ice cream?”
You pull the ice cream off your tongue and move to hide it behind your back.
“No…”
Jisung just stares at you in disbelief.
“That totally is my ice cream! You thief!”
He jumps in front of you. His arms wrap around you, quicker than you can register. Before you can manage to pull the ice cream away, Jisung grabs it and starts to yank it out of your grip.
“I’ll get you another one, just let me have this one! My tongue feels like it’s going to fall off,” you argue, trying to fight him off from taking the ice cream away.
Jisung finally pulls it out of your hand. He moves it as far away from you as he can, carefully watching your hands in case you try to grab it again.
“And who’s fault is that? Hmm,” he hums.
With a pout, you point directly at your phone propped up against the nearest house plant you could find. Jisung’s eyes follow your hand. You were live? His eyes meet your gaze, shaking his head at you.
“You can’t blame starlings. They’ve done nothing wrong to you.”
You turn to lean against the counter, getting as close to the camera as you can.
“Help me out here, please,” you whine.
You wait in anticipated silence only to see your fans laugh at the situation, feigning innocence. They’re all on his side. How could they? You push yourself away from the counter, crossing your arms in front of you.
“Top 10 worst betrayals. I can’t believe you guys.”
“And I can’t believe you snuck out of bed in the middle of the night to eat noodles,” Jisung states.
He walks over to the freezer, placing the lid back on top, and sets his ice cream back inside.
“I’m just giving the people what they want.” You shrug as he turns back to face you.
“At three in the morning?”
“I couldn’t wait until tomorrow. I was curious.”
Jisung comically looks directly at the camera, almost as if he were in a sitcom.
“And they say I’m in paboracha.”
You stare at him, jaw dropped.
“Rude.”
He laughs. He steps closer to you, reaching up to grab your upper arms.
“As much fun as you were probably having, you need to get to bed.”
“But my tongue–”
“I’m sure you’re fine, you baby.” Jisung ruffles your hair, giggling at your half-assed effort to push him away. Turning towards your phone, he points at the camera. “Now make sure to remind them that they need to buy me more ice cream for stealing mine, got it?”
With a satisfied smirk growing on his face as he reads the comments, he turns back to you. Once more, you give him a small pout, hoping that he’ll change his mind.
“Can I have the ice cream back?”
“No.”
“But–”
“I’ll kiss it better if I need to, but let’s just go back to bed. I’m tired,” he whispers into your ear.
You sigh.
“Fine.”
With a final wave goodbye from the two of you, you stop the live, take Jisung’s hand, and walk back to his room for the rest of the night.
Felix
“Can you pass me the chopsticks?”
You click the ‘start live’ button, making sure the phone is stable enough as it sits against a box of cereal. Felix hands you a pair of chopsticks once you lean back against the back of your chair. Viewers start to trickle in, your audience growing pretty quickly once you’re sure that the notification of your live has gone out to your fans.
“Hello! Hi stay! Hi starlings!” You wave.
Felix follows suit, leaning in closer to the microphone set up between you.
“Welcome to our midnight mukbang! ASMR style.”
You watch as the comments fly in. A growing curiosity dominates the majority of the chat.
“What are you both doing up so late?” Felix reads. “We may be working on something, and so we’re having dinner together late, but don’t let anyone know we told you. We just wanted to go live to talk with you guys, too.”
You turn to him wide-eyed and smack his arm. Not enough to hurt, but just to stop him from spilling anything else. You had just come back from recording in the studio, so it was still fresh on his mind, you figured.
“Felix!”
You send him a quick look when he turns to you in surprise. He stares at you for a moment, gears visibly turning in his head, before he brings a hand up to cover his mouth in realization. You can only sigh, knowing that that moment will be clipped and posted on social media very quickly.
“What do we have on the menu for tonight?” Felix blurts out, hoping to change the subject fast.
You both immediately dig into the food in front of you. There was enough food to probably feed the rest of Felix’s dorm-mates, but were either of you planning on sharing? Definitely not. For the next hour or so, the two of you share your thoughts, answering random comments, and absolutely demolishing the spread of food.
“Mmh.”
“Oh my god.”
“This is so good.”
Felix holds up a hand, and turns towards you.
“Wait, wait. Listen to the crunch.”
He leans in as close to the mic as he can without touching it. You practically moan at the crisp sound of Felix biting into the drumstick.
“God, this chicken is so good,” you mutter as you take another bite of your own piece.
“It would probably be even better if I didn’t have to hear the two of you moaning over it at two in the morning,” Minho calls out from the entryway.
The food gets stuck in your throat, sending you into a coughing fit. Minho, though very unimpressed, rushes over to help you. Felix, on the other hand, swears under his breath and quickly reaches for the phone in front of you.
“Gotta go!”
He quickly ends the live as you recover from the shock. Minho looks over at Felix. If looks could kill.
“And you were live?”
Felix shrugs as he begins to clean up the mess the two of you have made.
“What else would we do?”
“Oh, I don’t know, just eat it like normal humans at a reasonable hour?”
You smile sheepishly at Minho.
“You sure you don’t want any?”
“I don– I’m going back to bed,” Minho grumbles.
The moment he shuffles back into his bedroom and shuts his door, you turn back to Felix. He gives you a smirk, jerking his head to gesture towards the last little bit of food you have left.
“Let’s finish this in my room.”
Seungmin
Carefully, you set your phone down on the counter as you watch your fans trickle into the live. Holding up your finger in front of your mouth, you quietly speak to your audience.
“I’m going to try to not make a lot of noise. Seung doesn’t know I snuck in.”
It takes you way too long to put a pot of water on the stove. Who knew running water could be so loud? Not to mention that the pot you were looking for was buried under a stack of other pots and pans. For a dorm that has the most people who use the kitchen, it is very disorganized.
As the water comes to a boil, you quietly grab the last two packages of ramen you find in the cupboard. You show them to the camera.
“3 a.m. ramen just hits different.”
This was the hardest part. Opening the packages without a sound takes a certain skill that you weren’t sure you had in you until now. You carefully pull out the contents, set the noodles in the water gently, and set everything else aside. You’re in the clear, for now at least.
While you wait for the noodles to soften, you interact with the chat for a moment. Though, the moment ends as quickly as it started as a splash of water hits the burner, hissing loudly as it boils away.
“Shh, I’m trying to be quiet.”
“And how’s that working out for you?”
With wide eyes and a fast-paced heartbeat, you quickly turn around to find Seungmin stepping into the kitchen. You can definitely tell that he just woke up.
“Minnie! Good morning!”
You try to give him the biggest grin you can, hoping that your cuteness will deter Seungmin from seeing what you’re doing. The boiling pot sits right behind your back.
“How did you get in here? And you took my last two packs of ramen?”
You glance to the counter, noticing the opened packages are very much in his line of sight. Shit.
“Uh, no…”
Seungmin walks closer to you, taking note of your phone, and reaches for it. He traps you against his side with his free arm, making sure you can’t take your phone back.
“It’s time to say goodbye.”
You laugh awkwardly.
“Sorry starlings! Maybe another night!”
“Don’t have high hopes,” he whispers into the phone before ending the live.
Seungmin shoves the device into his pocket, releases you, and begins to walk back out of the kitchen.
“That’s mean,” you mutter.
He doesn’t even bother to look back at you as he speaks up again.
“Clean it up then come to my room. Don’t forget the food.”
“You’re not even gonna wait for me?”
Seungmin stops, looks at you over his shoulder, and throws the biggest smirk and wink he can at you.
“Nope.”
You just stare at him in astonishment as he looks forward again, and turns the corner to go back to his room. Once you’re sure he’s far enough away, you pout, crossing your arms.
“Seungmeanie,” you whisper under your breath.
“I heard that. No hoodie for you,” he calls out.
“No, wait! Min!”
Jeongin
Jeongin jumps as soon as you throw open his bedroom door. You stand in the doorway, watching as he clutches at his chest.
“Whatever you do, don’t scroll on Tiktok for a while,” you plead.
Catching his breath, he looks at you confused.
“What did you do this time? It’s not anything illegal right?”
You shake your head.
“No.”
“Against company policy?”
“I don’t think so.”
Jeongin gasps. He stares at you with wide eyes, leaning in towards you slightly.
“You didn’t talk shit about me, did you?”
You quickly shake your head, raising your hands in surrender.
“No! Nothing like that!”
Jeongin tilts his head and furrows his eyebrows. If you break any rules or laws, and you didn’t talk about him, then what could you have done? He looks over to his phone—which he had tossed on the bed when you scared him half to death—and quickly reaches for it.
“No! Wait!”
You’re too slow. Before you can even stand next to him, Jeongin already has Tiktok open. He quickly searches for your name. You can only throw yourself on his bed with your hands covering your face. Of course the first video that pops up is of last night.
“When did you go live?”
“Definitely not at 2 a.m.,” you mumble, peeking at him from between your fingers.
“You taste-tested a cheese platter? Where did you even get one that late?”
You can’t answer him. It was a tipsy decision you made last night, and you can’t even remember how you got it in the first place. But he doesn’t need to know that.
“And is this in my kitchen?”
“No…”
He just stares at you like you’ve grown another head.
“What the hell?”
You quickly sit up.
“To be fair, I tried to wake you up, but you were dead asleep. Even Seungmin tried by threatening to do something with your shoes.”
His head whips around to stare out his open door.
“Excuse me?”
You quickly reach out to grab one of his hands, hoping that he wouldn’t go do something about the threats.
“I don’t think he touched them, but it was funny to see you try to fight him in your sleep,” you giggle.
Jeongin sighs. He steps closer, sitting himself on his bed beside you.
“Well I hope you enjoyed the cheese, I guess.”
“It was a rollercoaster, trust me.”
He laughs.
“I don’t have to. The videos prove themselves.”
Jeongin swipes to the next video, turning his phone to show you. You groan, covering your ears with your hands, and fall back against his bed again.
“Turn it off.”
He laughs again, turning his screen back towards him and scrolls through the next couple of clips.
Hey hun! Just checking in, wanna make sure you're okay! ❤️❤️
Hi love!! Sorry it took so long to answer this!
I appreciate you (and everyone else in my inbox) checking in! I hit a really rough patch after I had my surgery, but I'm doing a lot better now 😊 I've had some really good things coming my way recently, so I've been feeling pretty great!
~~~
It'll be a slow start, but I'm going to try to get back into posting as often as I can! I have an ask that I've been meaning to post for such a long time, and I will be continuing my Fated series, as well as starting up that next smau I've been wanting to get around to. So everyone, please stay tuned for more content!!
I also really appreciate all the love that you've all given my works in the meantime. I'm glad that people are still finding me through different ways, and taking the time to read what I've written while I've been on this unofficial break for the last couple months.
Hey guys! sorry I haven't posted in a while... these last few weeks have been chaotic. I've lost quite a bit of motivation and inspiration for a lot of things, so I haven't been able to work on the fated series, or finish up and post the request that I have. Plus, with this next week being finals for me, and being how far behind I am, I've been trying to focus on getting my classes taken care of first.
HOWEVER
once finals are done, I will have more time to work on things! especially because I will be having surgery done in a couple weeks, so I'll have some time to rest and work on writing again before I go back to school in January.
thank you all for being patient with me. I promise that I'll come back in full swing here shortly and finally start posting a little more regularly! I might even start a new smau series in between writing for the fated series 👀 so please vote for who you would like to see next for that! (note: I'm leaving minho out only because I already have an smau series for him)
Something brushes against your eyelid, stirring you awake. The pitter patter of the rain on your window, never having stopped since last night, grows louder the more conscious you become. Another brush of something against your cheek. The weight around your torso tightens slightly, pulling you further out of your dreams. You groan, stretching as much as you can within your restraint. Your eyes peek open to find your boyfriend softly smiling at you.
“What time is it?” you mumble, taking note of the lack of lighting in the room.
Changbin leans in and kisses your nose with a light chuckle.
“Time for you to start paying attention to me.”
That earns a laugh from you. You snuggle in closer to his chest. Changbin hums, tightening his hold on you, and throws a leg over yours. You press a kiss to his bare chest as his lips settle against the top of your head.
“You don’t have work today?”
“Nope. Called off cause I wasn’t feeling too great last night.”
You gasp and push yourself away from him enough to see his face. Your eyes scan him quickly, a worried pout forming on your lips.
“Are you okay? You’re not sick are you?”
He shakes his head with a smile and kisses your nose.
“No, don’t worry. I’m feeling better now. I just think I needed to cuddle my baby to sleep.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yep.” He pops the ‘p’ when he speaks.
You watch him carefully for a moment before deciding to hum in acknowledgement. He had come home some point after you had fallen asleep waiting for him last night. So if he is lying, you can’t call him out for it.
“Well, now that I’m awake, I need to get up.”
As you start to shuffle out of his grip, he pulls you even closer to him. He buries his face in the crook of your neck. You can feel the way his lips turn down into a big pout.
“Noooo,” he whines.
“Bin, if you don’t let go, I’m gonna pee my pants. And I’d rather not do that.”
Changbin is silent for a moment. You can practically hear the gears in his head turning with every second that passes. Slowly, he pulls himself off of you. You wiggle to the edge of the bed, swinging your legs over the edge and sitting up. He takes a hold of one of your hands before you have a chance to stand.
“Fine. But you have to promise me that you’ll come right back here when you’re done.”
You smile at him, giggle softly at the pouty look he’s giving you. You lean down and press a quick kiss to his lips.
“Of course.”
Reluctantly, he lets you go and you rush to the ensuite. By the time you’re opening up the door again, you’re met with your boyfriend’s broad figure. You stifle a laugh, raising an eyebrow at him.
“I thought–”
“I couldn’t wait any longer.”
He doesn’t even take a second longer to wrap his arms under your butt and hoist you up, carrying you back to bed. Your giggles fill the room, mixing with the sound of the rain, and Changbin can’t help pressing kisses against your stomach, eliciting a louder laugh from you. He tosses you gently onto the bed, and crawls after you. He settles himself on top of you, the weight and warmth of his body a welcoming feeling, his face buried into your chest as his arms wrap around you once again. One of your hands finds its way to his head, running your fingers through his hair—which earns a content sigh from the boy—while your other hand lays against his back, drawing random shapes on his skin.
“You’re lucky I love you,” you mutter. “So what’s the plan for today.”
Changbin raises his head, setting his chin against you to see you better.
“Do we have to have one?”
The puppy eyes your boyfriend is giving you deters you from thinking about all of the things you should be doing today. You can agree that it’s nice to even have this morning with him, staying tucked in bed without any worries about work or chores for the day. Thus, you give in.
“Not necessarily.”
“Good,” he says, burying his face back into your chest. “Cause is cold, it’s raining, and I just want to spend the rest of the day in bed with you. We don’t get days like these very often.”
You can’t help but laugh, knowing that most of the reasons lie in the description of his job. You won’t lie, it took the both of you a while to find the right balance between his work and home lives. But you’ve come to terms with knowing that there will be times that you won’t have a lot of time together—if at all. So you’ve both learned to cherish times like these when you can throw all responsibilities out the window.
“That’s because someone keeps themselves tucked in their studio with two other stubborn people for days on end.”
Changbin carefully slides himself off of you to lay by your side, still having a hold on you.
“I can’t help it when I’ve got constant inspiration.” He shrugs with a small smile.
You lean in to press a kiss against his cheek.
“You flatter me.”
Changbin looks at you, eyes wide and mouth agape.
“Oh, I was talking about Hyunjin and Felix.”
You throw your head back in laughter.
“Pft. Whatever.”
As you begin to push yourself out of his grasp, playing along with him, Changbin holds you tighter.
“No, no, wait. I’m sorry. I’m sorry.” He giggles, pulling you close enough to let his lips travel the expanse of your neck up to your face, peppering kisses on every bit of skin he can see. He throws a leg over you to trap you in even more. “You’re my favorite inspiration,” he whispers against your jaw.
You sigh happily.
“Come on. Let’s at least get some breakfast. You can’t say no to food,” you mutter, trying to get up once again, yet failing to even move an inch from your spot.
“You’re right, but I can say no to getting up. We can just order something.”
Changbin reaches for his phone on the nightstand behind him. You shake your head with a wide smile.
“One of us will have to get up eventually anyways to get it.”
As he scrolls through the different breakfast options, adding several items into his cart, he nuzzles himself further into your side.
“Yeah, but until that time, you’re staying right here with me.”
