PRE-CONCERT/FANS/VENUE(METLIFE):
whew lord it was a ride. tl;dr i was a dumbass and didn't read the email from the venue that closely which cost us a lot of time. as always fellow ARMYs were amazing.
we got there around 6 so we had a lot of time before the show started. i wanted to buy my friend an army bomb since she only had an older korean version so we stood in one of the merch lines outside the venue for about ~20 minutes. about halfway through the line i went to the front and saw they didn't seem to have army bombs so we decided to try the merch area inside the venue.
then, disaster struck. the bag policy ended up being super strict if your bag wasn't clear (like basically wallet size) so we had to wait in the bag check line 5ever. it seemed like it was 50/50 between people who read the rules and brought clear bags versus people like us who brought opaque bags. we also got super unlucky and the first bag check got full so we had to walk to a different one on the other side of the arena -__- so by the time we got to our seats the show was starting in like ~10 minutes /facepalm
CONCERT EXPERIENCE:
we had intense nose bleed seats because i barely got tickets during the initial release. the last concert i sat in the nosebleeds for wasn't that fun because everyone in the back was really aloof, but istg ARMY was hype all the way to the last row. like even in the nosebleeds people were standing whenever BTS was on stage.
i never thought i'd be one of the those people who went to the same concert multiple times, but i actually wish i could have gone both days. now that they're playing in such large venues there's so much more to see, like i feel like i missed so much.
i was expecting to feel really old (95 line) but i think we were right in the middle. lots of people had BT21 headbands or LY hoodies/sweatshirts. maybe 50% - 70% had army bombs. everyone we talked to was really nice, i felt like i could go up to anyone talk to them, irl ARMY == <3. people were better at doing fanchants then they were 4 years ago lmao. people were equally excited about all the members.
CONCERT:
so i already knew the setlist because i looked it up beforehand. i was sad that they weren't doing much from before YNWA/LY but i'm guessing they wanted to make this distinct from the first LY tour and it was a bit shorter.
they opened with dionysus and it was super fucking intense. like people were screaming so loud and its already so high energy that it was wild to watch. they used the stage really well, like they were able to get props in and out and there were these cool inflatable silver leopards(?). it weirdly almost felt like a visual callback to 2K4S/ORUL82 and the gaudy decadence of that era. after they went into not today which got me really hype, that's when it really sank in for me that i was seeing them irl. i wasn't that excited for outro: wings but it's sooooooo good live.
next was the first break and they introduced themselves. istg i did not hear any of it bc ppl were screaming so loud lmao, but they were charming as always. i forgot how freaking smug yoongi is. like im writing this a few days after and that really stuck with me like he's so freaking cool/confident on stage <3
then they did a VCR of jungkook and j-hope since their solos were next. trivia: just dance was so good live, j-hope always creates such a fun/happy environment and just dance fits his personality so well. euphoria is my favorite solo from LY and jungkook's voice is so beautiful T.T at one point he got on this crane(?) and was flying around the venue i was really pressed about it. my heart really swells whenever i listen to euphoria. next up was best of me, but i don't remember much from it
jimin/RM's VCR was v cute, i liked that they paired them for the videos that was a cute idea. serendipity was amazing like thank you god for park jimin he's a gift. more and more of us died after each high note. i barely remember trivia: love, but boy with love was super cute. the theme of this section seemed to be being cuter than sliced bread. halsey's from NJ so she should have come out!! haha
i think dope/baepsae/fire/idol was meant to be a medley but i only sort of noticed bc parts of some of the songs were missing. i'm so happy they played dope because it's so sentimental for me. it was the first comeback/MV that i got to experience as an ARMY. it's also the only song that they also did at TRB lmao. they didn't do much of the choreo for the songs in this section, instead they mostly utilized the stage to interact with fans/make prolonged eye contact via the screens X.X
yoongi/taehyung's VCR had a really different tone. the previous ones were really colorful (DNA style), but theirs were against a white background and they were wearing like military inspired stuff. singularity is so smooth, taehyung is such a good dancer although he literally started the song in a bed lmao. i don't remember much from fake love, trivia: seesaw was so freaking cute yet deep, like it's such a personification of yoongi's artistry. there was some choreo and they had like an actual seesaw/bench thing that he was walking across. i would have switched trivia: seesaw and singularity but nbd.
jin had to do his video by himself lmao. epiphany is so bittersweet like you could really feel that we were in the final act of the concert T.T afterwards vocal line did truth untold and it was so freaking beautiful like i already loved that song but lives capture something extra. next was outro: tear and i died for real at that point, like i love rap line so much and to me this is true successor of cypher pt. 3. im so fucking pressed just thinking about it. i love seeing them and especially yoongi in their element like hands down one of my favorites from the show.
mic drop was the fake ending. at the end yoongi literally dropped his mic like so freaking epic, the energy of the audience sky rocketed. the encore started with anpanman which was so perfect, especially since they didn't do any of their older songs. like that line "still bangtan" really gets me every time when i think back to when they first debuted before they were BTS. another one i was really grateful to see live <3
lowkey idk why they always insist on doing so what especially when HOME is right there but i digress. next up was make it right which was cool, but the true masterpiece of the whole show was ending with mikrokosmos like that shit almost made me want to cry. like the whole stage was just lit with phone lights and it just felt so personal. i already really liked the song, but now it's my favorite from persona. idk why but it felt so magical getting to see the boys again like i don't follow them as closely as i used to but BTS is still so special to me and they make me so happy.
MISC THOUGHTS:
i don't mean to compare this to TRB but it is still mind boggling to me how much they've grown in the past 3 years. they're selling out arenas now like T.T TRB will always hold a special place in my heart since it was my first BTS concert and it was a more intimate space, but i loved LY: speak yourself so much. im so proud of them and they'll be with me forever <3

smtown coex atrium has opened for december 17th and, along with it, preparations for the first annual shiny arts festival have began. the above video is an edit made by a fan showcasing all that is currently displayed in relation to the festival and jonghyun. all of the posters on display appear to be fanmade, likely those that were submitted for the festival contest. the creator of the video edit stated that jonghyun’s music videos are currently running on rotation at coex along with the posters, and that “it seems like tears are overflowing, but i feel very happy in a space where i can feel jonghyun.” (source)
