From the Revolution to the Moon 1770-1970, A Historical Challenge
The newly married Mr. and Mrs. William Wright have happily settled into the small town of Brindleton Bay where they purchased a piece of land by the sea and built a small cabin on it. Here they hope to live happily together and earn a living for themselves and their future children.
Challenge rules:
Stage 1: introduction:
“Your life has finally begun as you have just settled into matrimony, and with your inheritance and your wife’s dowry combined you have purchased a small dwelling on a nice bit of land. Unfortunately it has also swallowed almost all your fortune, and now you must make ends meet on your own. While the industrial revolution has already begun taking place in the more urban areas of the country, you still rely on the old way of living. This means farming, fishing and gathering food is your main source of livelihood. While life may seem simple, it is far from easy. Especially if the rumors of the upcoming war for independence are anything to go by.”
Rules for setting up the challenge:
Create a married starter couple for your challenge (one male and one female)
Due to the customs of the time, the male will act as the heir
Dress them in a colonial fashion and name them accordingly
You can randomize their traits or choose them yourself
Landscape the lot with plants and other natural elements, no man-made items
Build the house:
Room that you decorate with only the basic utilities, that won’t need electricity or plumbing (candles, outdoor grill or fireplace for cooking, counters, food storage, beds, table)
Make an outdoor toilet
Place your family on the lot
Using cheats change your money value to 100 simoleons
