This happens because the measles virus directly attacks and WRECKS the cells responsible for attacking diseases and keeping a memory of past infections. Sure, you’ll eventually regrow all those immune cells you lost, but the new cells won’t have the memories of anything but that specific measles virus. It’s like a computer virus that deletes your fucking antivirus software.

So yeah, be responsible and GET VACCINATED because viruses have had millions of years to evolve the most effective ways to fuck up their hosts, and surviving an infection is not fucking worth it when you could just get protected from it instead.
