The Mirabilis adopted a puppy!
His name is Rover, for now. Anyone have any better name suggestions?
Jakob forgives Lewis and lets him off the hook. Yay, no longer grounded!
While out collecting gems and metals for a school project, Lewis befriends a cardinal and brings him home. Everyone enjoys the new pet!
Any name ideas for the new cardinal (bonus points if they follow the family theme)?
Spooky Day is upon us! The Mirabilis threw a feast party.
The flaming thing is a baked angel food cake, the pink stuff around the bowl is shrimp cocktail, and the hot dog-like things are cheese tofu steak sandwiches. I'm assuming the thing in the middle is some kind of pasta dish? Everyone brought something, and it was all amazing. Lots of leftovers! Best of all, everyone had a good time.
But then Lewis got rejected for his first kiss, the cops showed up and busted him, and his parents came home and grounded him. Overall fail.
Adorably, Lewis read Carol to sleep in the middle of his party. What a great older brother.
Jakob teaches Lewis how to drive. Check out their new car, the Motive Mobile--it restores all of your needs to full strength whenever you're in it!
The parents win a free vacation, leaving the kids alone in the house. Lewis throws a party, but really only so he gets the chance to flirt with Linn, his best friend and romantic interest...
Alice started a fire, and while they waited for the firetrucks to arrive everyone freaked out in a well-choreographed series of actions. (Notice how they are in sync at times).
The insurance company gave them $168-ish for over $600 worth of damage...
Makeovers! Bonus: Carol's outerwear outfit is adorable.
Lewis inherited his dad's strong jaw; Carol looks like she could grow into a beautiful young lady.
Birthdays!
Carol gets the lucky trait; Lewis gets family-oriented (he previously got the good trait when he aged up to a child).
Does anyone else have eye-crossing issues with kids, or is that just me?
Lewis shows off his new Scouting badges to Mom.
Originally, this little chipmunk used to run around under the tree in the backyard. He got stuck there, though, and when I expanded the house he ended up running around the master bedroom...so Jakob caught him and put him in terrarium. His name is Mallymkun (points to whomever gets the reference).
Toddler Carol is a little cutie.
Who does she look more like, Dad or Mom?
Lewis got a new haircut and a new best friend, Linn Valstrom. He also still enjoys playing with his doll, Patterns.
(I've had bad experiences with Imaginary Friends being nuisances and too difficult to make real without cheating, so Patterns is going to stay a doll. Carol didn't get an IF).
Welcome to the family, Carol Mirabili!
Carol is brave and a genius (taking after her father).
Right after Jakob reached his LTW, I had some issues with new cc not allowing me to play the game and had to uninstall all of it. Once Aurora Skies was uninstalled, though, the Mirabilis' neighborhood was screwed up--all of the custom lots had been replaced with community lots, effectively making it useless. So I saved the household+their house to the bin, reinstalled Aurora Skies, and placed them right back on the lot they'd previously lived on. All of their non-household relationships were gone, and they were unemployed, but since Jakob already got his LTW and they all had their skills and progress I figured it wouldn't be a problem. And then Lewis met Jonas Ingberg at elementary school, and I realized something. They're in an alternate universe. Because I placed them in a new game, everyone else in the neighborhood started at ground zero--Jakob Ingberg was still married to Iris Ingberg, and their son Jonas was in elementary school. In my universe, Jakob left Iris and Jonas grew into a teenager. Not so anymore. Jakob Ingberg is the AU of Jakob Mirabili; there are two of him out there. And this Iris doesn't know our Jakob, because he came from a different universe. Likewise, Jonas and Stefan are no longer his children. This is just a notice to let you know why they won't be showing up anymore. You may see Jonas, as a child, show up if Lewis befriends him, but Iris won't be hanging around anymore and Jakob won't keep getting the wish to befriend his estranged youngest son Stefan, who (in the past universe) hated him. Irrelevant, really, but interesting!
Lewis still looks more like Alice than Jakob to me. He's quite the artistic genius, too!
