What works of media would you say your AU is most similar to?

The idea for Meta is a UPA-Revival style inspired by early 2000's shows. So stuff like Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home, Dexter's Lab, MLAATR, and Clone High.

We do have plans to experiment more with the style and try for a "Dance Pantsed" sort of look for the second arc of the story ;]

You think Mathias and Lucy would stop after one kid? Q: Why did you change Tom and Sabine's names? A: Separating the art from the author. Iykyk.

Q: What happened to Emilie if the peacock doesn't create senti's and Gabriel isn't Monarch? A: Stomach cancer. Emilie put if off for too long and they caught it too late. she is still deceased in this au.

Q: Why aren't Johnny and Gabrielle bikers anymore? A: Gabriel wasn't born poor in the au, he's nouveau riche. Johnny and Gabrielle are retired and living by the coast of Northern France. They both suck, but they don't suck as much as their son or Emil. Q: Is Nora still dating Twig? A: Hell No.

Q: Are Nordine and Vita still divorced? What are their jobs? A: Yup. They divorced pre-series but are still good friends. They're both biochemists. Q: Lila has three moms? A: Yes and despite being in a polyamorous relationship they're STILL neglectful to their daughter. Lila is just a normal, spoiled teenage girl in this au. Q: Max has two moms? A: Yes Q: Zoe still has Bourgeois in her last name, is she related to Andre? A: No. Audrey cheats on her husband numerous of times and they had to pretend Zoe is biologically his to avoid bad press. Q: Who is Ines B., Briar, Lionel, and Mme. Desirpoete? A: Ines B is a fashion designer in the original M. Pigeon script from 2013 who originally took Gabriel's place in the fashion contest. We added her in to expand on the fashion world more. Briar is an oc to answer the question "what happened if a racist old karen got akumatized." Lionel is gonna be Animan b/c it's weird af to akumatize Otis into this rage-filled animal-shifting akuma. Desirpoete is a librarian taken straight from a french "Choose Your Own Adventure" book where Chat Noir and Ladybug got sucked into books by a librarian-themed akuma.

Q: Why did you change Sarah's name to Josiane? A: In the french dub she's called Josiane b/c she's based off of Josiane Balasko

A: Mod CN: True story when designing all the characters I got so sick of drawing men that when I got to Andre I said "fuck it, she's trans now". She's all-inclusive for everyone and their romantic preferences. Basically Andre if he was likeable and a beautiful fat woman.

Q: Who's Charlotte Basquet? A: ALSO from the "Choose Your Own Adventures" book, she's the beta Puppeteer 2 and Manipula!

Q: Why did you change Bela Bruty, Jean Phi-Loup, and Denis' names? A: Read this. They're not negative stereotypes in the au anymore. Q: Who the HELL are Moss, Cobalt, and Plum? A: Our way of adapting The Punishers into Meta. They run a black market stealing akumas and selling them to people who desire to be metamorphosed and enact revenge. It pisses Caline/Monarch and The Miraculer's off so much. They're also based off of two backgrounder characters from the movie, only Plum is original.

Q: Who are Datee 1 and 2? A: Gag characters where every time they're on screen, their date gets ruined by an akuma attack. A joke stolen from the movie. They're based off of two characters in the movie's concept art that most likely never made it in the final product.

Q: Who is Bjorn? A: So what if we took Kouki and NOT make him a stereotype, but instead a German street fashion artist who runs a brand called "Cookiebär". It's also another way to expand the fashion world. Q: Who's Eiffel? A: American tourist joke character. Think Emily in Paris.

Q: Why did you make a ref for the xenophobic ticket dude? A: We needed to akumatized someone for Sangsure. :| Q: Who's Yoanne? A: Sandboy kid. Q: Who's Stormy Beaureal? A: Giving Aurore a younger sister based off of Lindalee Rose

Q: Who's Alex Dotte? A: Beta Alex Cataldi if he was some Disney Channel talkshow host.

Q: Who are the M's? A: Four cliquey girls who are Gorgeous Nathan's admirers. they all represent a character archetypes in romance movies. Madeline's the Eccentric Rival, Mimi's ehe Shrinking Violet , Maria's the Manic Pixie Dream Girl, and Michele's "The Girl Next Door"... Michele seems to put in the face of a demure girl next door, but she has a schemer within her Q: Who's Magnolia? A: A geeky girl Chloe "befriends" in order to try and make Sabrina jealous when the latter cuts off their one-sided abusive "friendship". This "friendship" with Magnolia doesn't last long and Megaera takes her place.

Q: Who's Ellie? A: Based off of the Miraculous Cruise. Although here she's a drama kid who is an expert in method acting.

Q: Who's Pandora, Vega, and Anais? A: Pandora is an art kid who has grown bitter and distrustful on already akumatized people, Vega is also an art kid struggling with personal feelings regarding their gender identity (used for a Marc episode), and Anais is a friend of Jacqueline, a fashion designer student who helps reintroduce Jacqueline into Marinette's life. Q: Why did you change Wayhem's name to Farid? A: That's what he was originally called.

Hope this isn't weird or dumb, but what made you decided to give Monarch a team?

Caline by herself isn't part of The Kingdom as seen in canon, so she lacks the technology and rich, highly skilled or influential allies as Gabriel does realistically as a middle-classed school teacher. Also, she has no realistic way of winning by herself if she doesn't have moral support, the magic, or, again, the tech. It makes it easier for her to spread propaganda against the politicians and the heroes, to easily acquire and steal more information, to boost her power to become stronger in the battlefield. - She needs Jane as her muse, to make her truly understand her power more because Nooroo will try to hide as much information as possible - She needs Minerva as an insider to understand her enemies, as well as a battle strategist and lawyer for future Alliance Ring-esque purposes - She needs Liu, Tro, Beau, Rochelle, and Vincent to stir discord in Paris, cause more negativity, steal valuable assets, start propaganda, trends, and rumors, and lower the moral of EVERYONE living in the country - She needs Prof. Sulio to be her eyes on Paris, a thousand Optigami's trying to spy on the heroes - She needs Belote and Reblote to get rid of any... loose ends.

It also shows the corruption President Candice Endat and Mayor Andre Bourgeois affected their society in so many different ways. It's also a way for us to add onto the Miraculous lore by making a defective, evil guardian since the show severely lacks to explore the origins of the kwami's or who The Supreme is in favor of seeing Adrien and Marinette kiss 20 more times.
