I don't know if anyone has noticed this but Rocketear was very similar to Syren

Both the episodes starts with taming wild animals which wasn't a consequence of any akumatized person or a sentimonster

Three super heros appear in the first scene

Adrien being sad after knowing that "keep your identities secret" rule doesn't apply to anyone but him

He becomes angry because he hates secrets and he feels like Ladybug doesn't trust him enough

The only difference is that in Syren he talks about it openly and gets the issue resolved, but in Rocketear he just bottles it up, leading to further damage.

I feel so sorry for him😔

The one thing that nobody seems to be talking about after rocketear is how upsetting this is going to be for Marinette when she finds out Alya told Nino that she was still Rena Rouge.

Marinette broke up with Luka, gave up on Adrien, alienated her friends and family by lying to them and has no time for herself anymore to protect her identity and keep the miraculous safe.

She only told Alya she was Ladybug because she couldn't deal with the pressure on her own and has been worrying whether it was the right thing to do since then.

All she wanted from Alya was to not tell Nino she was Rena Rouge and she told him anyway.

Not blaming Alya, she's seen Marinette losing it and breaking up with Luka and didn't want that for herself.

but it's going to make Marinette feel awful that she's sacrificed so much to keep everyone safe and prevent a disaster and Alya couldn't do the one thing Marinette asked her to do.

Ramblings after Rockeater

Marinette literally has trauma that’s keeping her from discussing things with CN, let’s keep that in mind

It’s kind of blurry for her and us as to exactly how much is safe to disclose to him because of it

Because of their secret identities, misunderstandings are piling up. Now CN thinks LB let DJWifi know each other’s identities JUST because they’re a couple, when in actuality she was forced to because of a time crunch, and Alya already figuring out Nino’s identity herself

CN can’t even ask LB if this is true for clarity because it’d give away the fact that Nino told him- the only person he told their identities to, Adrien Agreste

LB, understandably, has been extremely focused on her role as guardian, enough to sacrifice everything in her life to be as perfect as she can be, like time for her own passions, time with family, friends, and a budding romantic relationship

So she’s not exactly thinking about the state of their partnership, assuming everything is the same with CN, and that that’s fine. She’d never ignore CN if she knew he was feeling the way he is. But he isn’t telling her what’s wrong, he can’t, so there’s this weird tension brewing between the two.

Think DJWifi deserves the heat they got for doing that shit in Rockeater but ofc it’s no reason to call them bad characters or start hating them, I still love both

Just sucks because we know that Marinette has been dragging herself through the mud with this identity shit just so both of them could run their mouths in the name of love; it’s something that affects everyone in the team, not just the two of them, and they don’t think about how damaging it could be.

Anyways it’s all Hawkass’s fault in the end and they’re only 15-ish, I’m cutting them all some slack

Sooo I came up with a « Miraculous Ladybug musketeers au » kind of? I have so many ideas for this au and already a few sketches of the other characters, would you like me to explain how this would work? 👀 I think I’ll call it « musketeers au » for now, I have another name for this in French but I don’t know how to translate it lol

Adrien in season 4 - needs someone he can talk to…

Kagami - breaks up with him, doesn’t want to be friends for a while

Chloe - ends the friendship when he calls her on her shit

Nino - tells him chat noir is annoying and reveals his and Alya’s super hero identities, presumably alienating Adrien

Ladybug - doesn’t have time/make time to properly check in with Chat. Every time she notices something is not right, and she does see it, he fakes it and pretends everything is fine.

Plagg - is completely unhelpful and actually probably makes him feel worse..

Adrien has no one!! My poor boy..

i just cannot stop thinking about how comfortable and open adrien's been around nino since origins, like out of everyone I'd say he acts the most Himself with nino and plagg, and now he thinks nino finds that annoying. That his teammates, who he's not been with a whole lot this season, seem to talk about him behind his back. And like carapace has spent more time with ladybug since she's been missing patrols and everything so like adrien probably believes that that's something she's told them before when chat's missed an akuma fight....

he's gonna think his father was right... that he was just trying to protect him by keeping him in line. that he must have known how annoying he was when he's not acting "mature" and model like and he was just trying to protect him from this realization..

okay but like y'all know how genuinely traumatizing it is to be called annoying by someone you care about? like you never stop thinking about it and are constantly worrying that what you're doing in the future might be annoying them, even if they're too nice to actually tell you that you're bothering them.

Adrien already over thinks how he acts all the time and this is 1000% going to stick with him as an actual, legit criticism that he needs to take to heart to prevent the very small circle of people that he loves from abandoning him.
