Games with Magpie Overview
Hey there!
Thanks for stopping by. 😁 I post indie gaming reviews monthly and upload/reblog a variety of content in between. I play a lot of different games, but I keep my reviews to indie titles in the hopes of them gaining more followers and folx trying them out. I'm an artist and a small business owner working with artists every day, so I love to see indie folx succeeding!
I don't typically rate games on a number scale, as I find it a bit degrading, especially for indie titles. Instead, I go into detail on what I found rad vs less-than-stellar. Some reviews will contain more spoiler content than others, but I always use the #spoilers tag. I don't buy or play games that don't suit my tastes, so you'll find that most of my reviews are positive! I do mostly play Nintendo Switch right now, as I find it to be the most user/indie-friendly console and it can be mobile. I do enjoy a variety of games between the PS2-PS4 era, so I may revisit some of those here as well!
Check out what I've posted by searching the "games with magpie" tag, or tap the links below! Send me a message or ask if you have a recommendation for me, or if you have any burning questions about what I've posted about. I mostly post these because I love to write and document the stuff I enjoy, but if my posts spark interest, conversation, etc, that's a big bonus. 😄 Thanks for dropping by!

Raji: An Ancient Epic
"Honestly, this feels like a must-play for anyone interested in games that are deeply steeped in cultural history and mythos." - 2021 April

"I loved every piece of this indie gem! I kept finding myself in an area I hadn't been to after thinking I saw everything."

Ghost of a Tale (coming soon!)
"I recommend this game every time it pops up in my 'memories' on Facebook. It's honestly the indie game that got me into indie gaming. Call me a late bloomer, haha."
