Today was amazing. Started by meeting a new Ds momma and her three day old cutie. D sat in my lap for a good chunk of CJ’s penguin project show, which he rocked today. Plus I got a later afternoon nap.

I spend way too much time worrying about friendships that were only for a season. About how or what did I do or not do. Then this guy reminds me that he loves me. That I’m the best. That I’m his best friend. Is he good at buttering up? Yes. Do I care, nope!

Winter break so far

- Connected with first mom.

- trip to children’s museum

- connected with first aunt

- 2 trips to Drop zone

- 2 trips to the farm

On today’s edition of maintaining first family relationships I find myself hanging out in the corner of the childrens museum.

In todays edition of open birth mom relations. She asks to bring boyfriend. Through all the red flags I say sure. 🤦‍♀️

One week into my support systems three week trip to Europe. Had first morning of soccer this am. Connected with Lenas first mom. Then checked out the new park and trail along the river front.

Today is National Birth Mother’s Day. Such a range of thoughts on a day like today. Engaged in six year old behavior before 9a on a Saturday. Hoping and praying it doesn’t get worse. Blaming self and choices I have made to benefit others while questioning if they will benefit those I’m responsible for. Wow that’s heavy.

Spending time with Honey. Thinking about his first momma. Knowing I wished and planned this out. End of school year/summer newborn. But yet so much to do. God is this what you want? Please tell me either way. Ok that’s a pretty obvious answer isn’t it. That’s not light either.

Top ten life highlight - having birthday lunch with the twins-not twins, sister-cousins. Seeing them holding hands going out to recess made it even more special.

School talent show tonight. Lenas birthday tomorrow.

Proposed my dissertation today and passed. Was not my best or most prepared presentation to say the least. But a pass is a pass.

Six years ago today grandma passed. Missing her but I see Lena in her!

CJ has been requesting “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” music before bed for a while now.

Lena was tired at the start of our time at the Childrens Museum today and was very cuddly. Doesn’t happen often so I tried to soak it up.
