It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white are turned to gray
And thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
It's a slow fade, it's a slow fade.
-Casting Crowns, Slow Fade
It's the small, seemingly insignificant desicions and thoughts we make that we think will never affect our walk with Christ that often lead us down a path we thought we'd never take. May we be consistent in bible study and prayer and always dependent upon Christ to guide our thoughts and deeds!
This is my Father's world, oh let me ne'er forget that though the wrong seems oft so strong, GOD is the Ruler yet.

“God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.”
C.S. Lewis
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5 KJV
they’re coming home for the hoilday
if you see this on your dash and don’t reblog judging you
whenever i see them, i thank them. you dont even know half of what they go through
Once when I told a soldier thank you, he was really surprised and said he didn’t get thank you’s a lot, and my heart just kinda fell out of my chest.
If you see someone in the armed forces today, tell them thank you for their service and sacrifice!
God’s timing, not mine.
God’s will, not mine.
God’s plan, not mine.
God’s glory, not mine.
Trust Him.
Be honest with God
Be honest with God.
Tell Him that you’re hurting. Tell Him you think it isn’t fair. Tell Him you’re angry. Tell Him you’re sad. Tell Him you don’t understand why He’s doing this. Tell Him.
Don’t keep silent, praying your same prayer over and over again because you don’t want to ‘anger’ Him. Or because you think it’s childish. Or because you ‘know’ the Bible has the answer so you don’t wanna ‘bother’ God.
God would rather you come honestly, screaming and crying and making a mess than bringing Him the same, empty prayer all of the time.
Be honest with God. He already knows you’re hurting, you’re angry, you’re sad… but He’s waiting for you to tell Him that.
My life in a nutshell 😁
It’s time to put away the things that no longer fit our identity in Christ and this includes old thought patterns. Let’s fill our minds with His thoughts so we can live in a fashion that’s pleasing and honoring to Him.
Charles Stanley (via godlywoman)
The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. (Psalm 28:7 ESV)
Lord, I come to You. Let my heart be changed.

Sin tries to convince us that Christ remembers every mistake we make; Grace tells us that Christ remembers every tear we shed. The reality is that Jesus will wipe away both.
