She smirked at the though of Mireya actually sleeping for a whole week. It was an unlikely situation, and if something like that were to happen, it meant that something was very wrong. “If we had more hours in a day, professors would just make us sit through longer lectures. That would be a fucking nightmare.” She wanted to shudder at the thought of listening to Professor Nelson drone on for more than two hours at a time.

"Trueee...” She dragged the word longer as she thought about it, “But What if they didn’t and we get more hours to actually do the things we want in a day? I’m sure the professors don’t want to talk the entire day away either. I just need more time to finish what I need.. and also have time to relax. The phrase ‘Too much to do, too little time’ would never exist if that were the case.”

a chuckle fell from elias’ tightly shut lips as he watched mircya spit out the liquid in his flask like it was the worst thing she’d ever had in her mouth (highly unlikely, if you asked him, especially considering the boys who attended pennbrook). “looks like you’re not a whiskey fan? too bad.” he took the flask back and threw back another sip. “but bright side, you sure do look a lot more alert, mir. you’ve got that..” he waved his hand between them. “wide, wild eye thing going on.”

Coughing a few times, she barely got her words out, “I’m not but there are better whiskeys out there than that.” She pointed at the flask, “I don’t like that at all.” Mireya looked like she was regretting her decision to follow through with his idea but he wasn’t exactly wrong. That woke her up a bit from pure shock. “You need better drink options because if I didn’t know better, I would have thought you were trying to poison me.”

When it came to people she cared about, it was hard for Rey to get angry at them for long - and besides, it’s not like Giovanna was at fault either. If anything, Rey was thankful that the other even bothered to stick around while she studied. “Okay, but you’re driving because I don’t trust myself behind the wheel right now.” Being sleep deprived and needing to drive was the worst feeling ever. “Is your car nearby? If not, then we’ll take mine.” She spoke as she started to walk towards the exit.

Emma was probably the only person alive who’d call her Mimi of all the nicknames out there and Rey even gave up telling her to stop since she had told her many times before. “I’ve known you for years, do I still need to pretend anything?” She laughed, “You think six cups is a bit too much for a day too?” Perhaps she should cut back like her friend suggested. “Oh my god, Em, I didn’t mean right this second. Just some time soon, and besides, I don’t know about having a party at a coffee shop of all places. I was thinking of some place that actually served alcohol because this week really calls for one.”

“oh, i’m not failing..” sulli replied, she’d get tutoring outside of school if she had to, she’d never take a failing grade but she definitely wouldn’t let someone treat her like shit for absolutely no reason than the obvious fact that she wasn’t getting fucked right, apparently. god, she fucking hated getting frustrated, but this, this – bitch. well, she didn’t deserve two seconds of her time or her thoughts. “peace out, i’m gonna go play with katherine.”

Ugh. She could feel her head throbbing already from arguing with this girl over nothing. There were better things to do with her time and just as she wanted to leave, the girl beat her to it. Whatever, whether or not the girl did well in school was not any of her business. Instead of vocally replying, she gritted her teeth and turned around to walk in the other direction. This was never going to work - if she had known who Sullivan Calloway was in the beginning, maybe they could have avoided confronting each other.

“Is that such a bad plan?” Josephine hummed and tilted her head, picking up a pen and pointing it at the other girl’s eyes. “I think I can see bags,” she commented, her voice teasing as she raised an eyebrow. She leaned back once more before taking a sip of her own coffee. “I wouldn’t be surprised if we all developed carpal tunnel.”

“Jo. I can’t skip out on a week because I’m sleeping away like the dead.” She wrinkled her nose in a playful scowl at the tease even though she wouldn’t be surprised her eye bags were showing with the week she had. After finishing the cookie, she brushed off the crumbs from her hands, “Praying that that will last me until dinner..which I’m hoping I have a chance to grab before practice starts. There needs to be more hours in a day.”

I don’t know what else that could be besides boredom.” Deciding to save her friend from being trapped here a bit longer, Rey started packing up her things. “Alright, let’s do something else before my next class. You pick. My brain is literally too dead to think right now.”

"Obstructing others because your clumsy ass decided to do this-” She motioned to the woman’s space again with a hand, “In the middle of the road does not mean I went out of my way." Rey was not going to elaborate more on that. Her family were definitely one to say something like, ‘know your place’ to anyone who weren’t...well, them. And Rey was for sure guilty of saying that a few times in the past when she was younger. Even if she wanted to deny it, she couldn’t. Her eyes nearly flew out of their sockets when the frustrating woman tossed trash at her feet. The urge to kick the cup right at the other was incredibly strong but Rey refused to lose to it and kept her feet planted on the ground. “Very funny, as if not everything you touch and possess are trash.” She nodded towards the cup, “Littering everywhere with everything that you have. Please, the world shouldn’t need to clean up after you..”

“ to be quite honest, satan, i honestly don’t think i want to have a tutor who managed to believe she knew everything about me in two seconds, insulted me, and who is just plain fucking rude… so…” she paused, putting her backpack on and getting up from the bench she was sitting on. “i will wait however long for another tutor to be available. are we done here?”

Rey was unfazed when being called a name - not like Satan was the worst thing she’s ever been called in her life. God, why was this girl getting on her nerves for simply existing. Rey got up as well, folding her arms in front of her, “Whatever. Wait all you want. Fail for all I care. This is your grade, not mine.” The witch’s grades were way above average, nothing less than something to be proud of and that might be partially the reason why she was even recommended to take this side ‘job’. But this? This headache was not worth it so now she had half a mind to go to her superior and ask if she could quit so she could join something else that might be more productive with her time.

in hazel’s mind, it was a simple ask. just stand in one place, blocking the sun, while she continued to do practically nothing. “people are just so rude these days,” she mumbled to herself. squinting, she tried to recognize the girl staring down at her. “does it look like i have an umbrella?” the witch retorted, though she kept a smile on her features. “i appreciate your suggestions but i’ve thought this over and i think the easiest solution, for the both of us, is for you to just stand there.” hazel gave a short shrug as she continued to doodle nonsense within her notebook. “you’re doing a fantastic job.”

Nope, this was not happening. Rey bent over to grab the open textbook nearby and proceed to almost dropping it on the girl’s head before shifting her angle ever so slightly for it to land on her lap instead. “Here. Your makeshift umbrella. You have two hands.” She scoffed before moving away to stop providing shade for the girl.

“Just my luck... Fuck.” She swore, leaning back on the bench as she tried to grasp this situation. How was she going to convince her supervisor that she wanted to be reassigned solely because she didn’t like the girl based on personality. “You asked for a math tutor.”

location: the quad, upperclassmen residence. time: probably around noon.

she sat by the quad, outside of her residential building, entirely focused on the wuthering heights book she had in hand. it didn’t matter how many times she read the book, it remained one of her favorites, and each and every time she read it, she put in as much attention to it as the first time. imagine loving someone for all eternity as catherine admits to loving heathcliff, she didn’t quite understand how someone could have an all consuming kind of love, then again, she observed her parents, and she knew that all consuming was exactly what they had. sulli was unsure if she were ever to find it, if she ever let herself focus on something that wasn’t figure skating, or now, her studies – or if she ever let someone close enough to know her. as she continued reading, the young woman felt someone take a seat beside her, she scooted over slightly, moving her backpack to the ground so it didn’t appear as if she were taking up the entire park bench. “sorry,” she apologized, before going back to her book, remaining completely unaware of who it was sitting next to her.

Just what was her luck?” Taking several deep breath, she willed herself to walk towards the other but it looked like the girl didn’t notice her presence at all. Sitting next to her with one leg crossed over the other, she waited. And waited.

“ Are you Sullivan Calloway?” She prayed to all deities and gods that she wasn’t.

A smirk flickered over her face as she watched Mireya take a bite. “You were too focused on the coffee to notice the cookie,” she mutters as she goes back to her computer. “And all you have to do is keep eating sugar and caffeine before you crash— you’ll burn off the sugar later anyways.” She saved her paper before leaning back, watching the other woman nibble a little more. “Three all-nighters?”

“That is not a plan. I’m going to sleep for the next few days straight at this rate.” She broke a piece of the cookie off and tossed it into her mouth. Humming affirmatively, Rey took her time to chew before answering, “Insanely busy like you wouldn’t buh-lieve. It should be a crime to be this busy in the beginning of the year.”

hazel hated sitting in the grass at this very moment. she was restless, which was happening more often lately, and she had now almost doodled across an entire page of her notebook that laid in her lap. her textbook was open to a familiar topic but was 100 pages past what her class was currently learning. plus, she had already finished the assignment hours ago. but alas, perception was key in most cases—professors passing by, seeing her being a dutiful student and entirely dedicated to her coursework on the campus lawn. of course they have no idea how i usually spend my time, the brunette thought to herself, as if it was difficult balancing maintaining good grades and indulging in extracurriculars. it was easier if they believed her time was dedicated to exactly what her parents paid for. the sun beating down did cause a bigger nuisance. “you there! stop.” she motioned towards the person walking directly in front of her. squinting, she peered up at the figure as they stared back. “okay now slightly to the left.” she waited until they blocked the light. “can you stand there for a few minutes? i’m sure your time won’t be better spent elsewhere.” she asked, though hazel didn’t care whether it was or not.

Rey literally froze on the spot when she heard someone tell her to stop. Distracted from her phone, the witch looked in all directions before coming to the conclusion that it was the girl in front of her who called out to her. However, she simply stood there with a frown. “If you don’t want the sun, go get an umbrella.” Now she was pissed that the other actually stopped her just to get her be a shield against the sun. “Or.. I don’t know, just burn?”

"Wow.” She watched as the other drank without a care, “Is there even a class you’re remotely interested in? Because that’s how I get through my classes. Today is an exception because I don’t think I can even keep my eyes open any longer.” Rey groaned as she rested her eyes against the palms of her hands. “Maybe I should take a sip..” She mumbled as if she was contemplating hard about it. Then without another word, she grabbed the flask from him... only to almost spit it back out, “Oh my god, what is- that is nasty. Ugh.”
