those who believe in Him will not be disappointed
He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater, He sendeth more strength when the labors increase; To added afflictions He addeth His mercy, To multiplied trials, His multiplied peace. When we have exhausted our store of endurance, When our strength has failed ere the day is half done, When we reach the end of our hoarded resources Our Father’s full giving is only begun. Fear not that thy need shall exceed His provision, Our God ever yearns His resources to share; Lean hard on the arm everlasting, availing; The Father both thee and thy load will upbear. His love has no limits, His grace has no measure, His power no boundary known unto men; For out of His infinite riches in Jesus He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.
― Annie J. Flint, "He Giveth More Grace"
Trista Mateer, from a poem featured in her collection titled The Dogs I Have Kissed
i would give you every hope back, do you know that? if i could, i’d fix us both a table for tea and we could sit under a sunbeam. and i’ll read you poetry and you could tell me - i do not chase happy, it chases me. i’ll feed you every half of every cookie. divide up life like - one for you and one for me.

All love stories are tales of beginnings. When we talk about falling in love, we go to the beginning, to pinpoint the moment of freefall. — Meghan O’Rourke
““Lord, help me to do a survey of my life the way ancient soldiers examined their city wall. Show me where I most need fortification in my self-control. I have an idea, but I want to take time to examine myself with your help. Amen.””
