He nodded slowly, a deep blush present on his cheeks. ”It’s just that… I’ve never felt this way before…about anyone… and I’ve certainly never had them feel this way about me… I guess… I’m just not sure how to handle it…” He sighed a bit, but remained close.
The warmth that was generated between the two of them, sharing their body heat by being pressed together, slowly emboldened him again. Before he lost his nerve, he tilted his head up and pressed a fleeting kiss to his lips, hoping he wouldn’t get angry.
The arm wound about the minstrels waist tightened gently, and the tender, fleeting kiss is returned warmly.
The King would admit the sight of scarlet tinged cheeks to be adorable, and the way Lindir kept darting his gaze away again and again was sweet. But Thranduil made no move to release him, delighted with each little bold move that the minstrel was willing to take.
"Then take your time to discover it." He answers Lindir's concerns softly, "I've no desire to rush you, or frighten you away. But there is no need to be scared to feel."
He does not remark that he's quite the same. Many have vied for his attention since his wife's passing and none have had it-- And yet so captivated by his little songbird he is.
