Despite his best efforts...
“uh oh looks like the cats out of the ball bag” Remus sing songed from Roman’s normal position “despite his best efforts, Virgil could never stop been the bad guy” the direct eye contact was unbearable, Remus eye’s gaze held a promise of more, more content than Virgil was ready for.
Now in his room the video long over and Thomas getting some much needed rest.
‘no thanks to me’ he added Virgil had time to pick apart his actions and interactions with the sides ‘how much have I truly changed since been accepted?’
Sure he fought less with Roman, it had even sorta evolved into a more friendly banter. But...
But maybe he crossed a line he didn’t see, what if Roman didn’t want to make a fuss because he’s just chivalrous like that and Virgil is the only one who doesn’t know?
He’d told Logan to shut up! why did he do that? Logan had been right and then
saved them all from themselves, like the bad-ass scholar he is and everything would of been easier if he’d just let him talk to begin with.
He’d been the one to keep Patton alerted to Remus and made a huge mountain out of a freaking mole hill! Remus for all his flaws was right! he was still the bad guy.
“I haven’t changed” he whispered to the air, he was hunched on the floor hands gripping the sides of his knees over the lights in his room dimmed to suit his mood “I’m still just Anxiety”
The air grew colder but Virgil barely noticed, around him the shadows of sub-conscious worries Thomas carried grew agitated. Virgil didn’t pay attention to them, they were always restless, always vying for his attention to bring them to the forefront of Thomas’s mind. Perhaps he should of.
“Pathetic” Vigil shoot up and rolled over to the other side of his bed peering oput from over the covers, he stared wide eyed at the silhouette in disbelieve before him...was him? “there was a time that you never cared you’ve grown annoying and weak”
Virgil could only stare at himself, he tried to speak but his mouth simply hung open, making no sound. His other self was smirking in an almost condescending way. He was wearing his old black and grey hoodie stood slumped and yet seemed to tower over Virgil with his hands in his pockets
“There was a time you held Thomas’s safety over everything, now your too busy concerning yourself with how ‘good’ or ‘bad’ he is, that’s not your job Virgil. The sooner you see that the better”
and then he was gone in a black cloud of shadows. Virgil was shaking hard, he felt sick and scared what, what had just happened? Virgil’s anxiety level 40%
((Virgil is now available for questions, but be warned his anxiety level is prone to change, if you push him too hard he will inadvertently wake up Thomas and stop answering. Try and keep him below 80%))
