I’ll have to heavily (?) edit my information concerning Star Guardian, just that you guys are aware. I’ve mentioned this in my previous ooc-post, but I do plan to write a SG-Fanfiction in Ezreal’s PoV (trigger warning, it’ll be EzLux since this is canon for SG anyway). I’ll use all of my headcanons in there, obviously, and this is also why I’ll adapt how I write and headcanon the entire SG-verse on this blog as well. To be honest, you might see them as very minor changes, but in the ‘full picture’ these changes are actually huge.  Changes, for example: - One change, is that the First Star is directly making the contract with the soon-to-be Star Guardians. What is left unchanged is that the spirits are born from the First Star’s light AND their bearer’s soul.  -Another one is that the First Star is giving them false memories; partly for the reason that they lose almost all memories of their previous life and they still need a reason to fight on, nonetheless. On top of that it will also secure that their special traits and talents remain unchanged since their personality is untouched while still claiming the entirety of their previous lives. 

- I have always followed Madoka Magica with my headcanons for the most part, I’ll do this even more now. Not to say that my SG-verse will be a Madoka copy since it will be not, the difference is way too huge, but you’ll see.  - I’ll properly adapt the Star Guardian’s abilities from what we have seen in their PvE-map during their event. I know this event has concluded a while ago, but it gave us some information which I’ve previously not used. For once, Stardust will have a great role from now on.

                                                      DRAWING/SKETCHING. 

When Ezreal was still a boy of young age, his father and mother often brought ancient artifacts back to Piltover after some time of absence, spending hours at the dinner table to tell him the most fantastic stories any boy of his age would like to listen to. But what caught his interest was more than their adventurous tales but also the objects which they usually left at their house for weeks until donating it to the Academy. They never stayed for too long in Piltover - and all he had left then was to inspect what they had brought back; the many objects from different times and cultures. Since he was already extremely smart for his age, and quite more talented than most would be at the age of six, seven, Ezreal started to copy the many different lines he found on ancient vases or copying scriptures of unknown languages. And much to the surprise of his uncle, even his own parents, he was capable to produce almost exact copies of uncomplicated patterns. During his parents last visit - the last visit before they disappeared forever - his father jokingly recognizing his skill by telling his son to draw him and his wife, Ezreal’s mother. It was the first time Ezreal tried to draw real persons, not just dead objects or strange looking patterns, but he poured his heart into the drawing - showing serious talent for it. He kept this picture, as memory - and only days later he started to add more details to it, details he still remembered thanks to his eidetic memory, becoming slowly better. He still has it, even years later, remembering the smiling faces of his parents this way.  Over the years Ezreal had truly become even better in drawing people. Often, when he was just bored and his uncle started to give him another lecture, he ended up sketching scenes he had once seen on the paper, pretending to listen to him although he was not. It quickly became one of his hobbies to sketch places he had visited or to draw people he has met - and thankfully, even if he does not always like his eidetic memory, it helped a lot that he could always remember the most tiny details for weeks. Not many people actually know that he is very skilled in drawing - not because he is hiding it but because he usually never shows these pictures to anyone. However, people quickly became aware of his excellent memory and ability to memorize information for long - as one could see in his extremely detailed mappings. But portrays of people are always quite private to him.

                  ‚Aw. Then WHO is supposed to read   t h a t?‘, he countered with a                    crooked grin while his azure eyes observed the FEATURES of her soft face.  

Ezreal let the BOOK sink in front of her eyes, carefully closing it before he placed it on the desk. He could not quite tell if she was  s h o c k e d   or  a m a z e d  that he had managed to sneak in and out without getting caught – or  b o t h. Something in the TONE of her voice amused him, perhaps because it reminded him of the many LECTURES his uncle used to give him until he gave up on it. ( Sometimes doing the  r i g h t   and the  w r o n g  THING was oddly close to each other. And in his case he preferred to be viewed as the  g o o d  guy. What would have happened when he just stayed at home and studied like his uncle wished for? Never doing anything bad, never leaving the house during the night when he was tight asleep? He was pretty sure the Academy would have less ARTIFACTS to analyze and Piltover to be less  s t a b l e  now. Not that he thought of this being great ACHIEVEMENTS, really, but doing things his way  n e v e r  had any bad consequences. ) Ezreal did not intend to change her VIEW of the world or question her sense of JUSTICE. In fact he was certain that Lux had the  p u r e s t  of all hearts, even if she did so many things wrong herself – by not believing in herself a little more. Of course she had to lecture him now; but he really couldn’t blame her for it. ( Seeing some things like him, with his eyes, would help her. )

               ‘The PURPOSE of a book is to be read, wouldn’t you agree? Besides,                 r e s t r i c t e d   also means it is more  i n t e r e s t i n g. And it is no                 CRIME unless you get caught. Do you  r e a l l y  think someone will                 even miss IT? Come on, even you can see the DUST sitting on the cover. ’

Tilting his head he stood up while slender fingers grabbed for her WRIST. And ever so gentle as he could be, his grin turned into a soft SMILE, hiding what he truly thought. She probably wouldn’t want to sit down with him just now, reading the  a n c i e n t   SYMBOLS  with him as long as she thought it to be wrong. W r o n g, since the content had been hidden from the public audience for so long that it was potentially dangerous. Or its CONTENT was just not fitting to be publically known. But there was something else he could do now, even in this boring LIBRARY.

                 ‘Fine, then. Let’s sneak into the restricted AREA together, then. You want                   to bring the BOOK  b a c k, don’t you? So let’s do that. Can’t promise that                   I will not borrow it later again, but for now… You just have to promise                   me  o n e  THING, Lux.’

What does Ezreal (normal Ezreal) think of the Ascended?

Ezreal is, in fact, incredibly interested in anything related to the Ascended, not only because they are part of the ancient Shurima’s culture - and therefore of an subject of great interest. Shurima is, like you all probably know, the last connection he possesses to his father and mother who went missing many years ago; and even as young boy he had often broke into the library to read some books containing information about it. So he is well-knowledged about their culture – but he had not believed in the existence of the Ascended for too long. It was not before he tracked down the traces of his parents and followed every hint, every so little crumb which could lead to them,that he started to believe in the stories he had read years ago. He was quick to understand that – just like his father had told him during his visits in Piltover – that some greater things and events were also part of this world; those things they could not fully understand, even in hundred of years. And the existence of the Ascended is certainly one of those mysterical theories.

He is, despite of his adventurous nature, also quite rational in his way of thinking. He does not believe most things he reads about, unless they can be physically explained; but he is more than willing to change his mind. Perhaps it is part of his uncle’s eduction, or even his father’s, that Ezreal enjoys to discover the very truth about those mysteries. Ezreal knows that the Ascended possess powers unmatched; but he is not scared to search for a proof of their existence. In fact, to look for one is perhaps his greatest chance to learn something about his parents along the way, too. And, of course, it is also fun.

SMALL HEADCANON. Card & Dice Games Ezreal is actually really good in any kind of game which requires strategy and only a bit of luck. During his stay in Bilgewater he often played dice games with pirates and barely managed to escape their anger when he was still unbeaten, even after hours. His arrogant grin on his lips probably did not help to ease their wrath, truth to be told. And not the fact that he indeed claimed some gold as prize. He started to gain the reputation as trickster and liar in some areas there.
