Memories...
Meschella was hit by a wave of nostalgia, that came to her in a dream. Images slowly shuffled through her mind like a slideshow as she slept, like they were delicately and deliberately chosen and put together for her to view. Old and new, from her time in Asgard to their fateful reunion on Midgard many years later.
Memories that she eagerly wanted to share with her beloved through his unique ability...

"That sounds lovely." Meschella leaned forward to give King a kiss before stretching. "Shall we take a shower first, though?" She wondered and got up, throwing on a robe to shield her body from the slight chill in the air. The cabin was generally quite warm, but her body had gotten used to being tucked underneath the covers.
She went over to one of the dressers and pulled out a warm pair of clothes; a long sleeved sweater and some thick leggings so she would have them ready to change into. Meschella stilled for a minute, grabbing a gentle hold of the dresser with one hand and placing her hand over on her forehead as she felt a light dizzy spell. Perhaps she had gotten up too fast and moved too much after having used her ability so much. She would definitely make sure to be careful, as she had not only her own health to look after, but the baby's.
King smiled and kissed Meschella softly. He shamelessly watched his wife as she climbed out of bed and pulled her robe on. She was so beautiful. He briefly imagined what she would look like in a few months when her belly was swollen with his baby inside. He couldn’t wait. He smiled even bigger at the thought.
“Yes, of course--- love?”
King leapt out of bed and had his arms wrapped around her faster than even he thought possible.
“Are you alright?”
King realized that she must have gotten dizzy from standing up or from not eating enough. He silently chastised himself for not feeding her sooner.
“I think, perhaps, you need some sustenance my love. We don’t know for sure how fast my baby will grow- or how much you will need to eat in order to please them. Why don’t you let me carry you to the bed and help you with your clothes? Then I’ll get you a snack. We can shower after you’ve had a bite to eat.”
King hoped Meschella would relent and allow him to baby her a little. He knew exactly how strong she was, but he also wanted her to know that she didn’t have to be. Not with him.

Meschella leaned into King as he held her, giving herself a few moments. She nodded in response to him checking on her, "I'm fine. Maybe I was a little ambitious in trying to move so much too soon."
In listening to his suggestion, she knew he wasn't going to stop fussing over her until he tended to her needs. Meschella would agree with him-- to a point. "I'll be okay, I promise. I'll eat first and then shower." She reassured him, setting her clothes down on the dresser and wrapping her arms around him. Meschella really was grateful that he cared that much about her. It was moments like these that really reminded her how lucky she was after everything they'd gone through.
Thinking about a snack, her stomach rumbled a little as a random idea popped into her mind. "Can we have cheese and crackers? I know it's random but… it sounds so good right now. And I think just a few will hold me over until lunch." Meschella wasn't sure if he'd deem it good enough, but at least she hadn't turned down the idea of eating altogether.

King knew that Meschella was not going to give in to his every demand. She was too independent for that. But he was thankful that she knew he needed to take care of her. It was so hard for him not to pick her up and carry her back to bed, demanding that she stay there for the next...how long would this pregnancy be?
As she wrapped her arms around him, he buried his face in her hair and took a deep breath. He was so terrified of losing her again, but he knew he had to trust her. She would tell him if she needed something, wouldn’t she?
At that moment, Meschella asked for cheese and crackers, and King smiled endearingly at her.
“Of course, my queen. You can have anything you want. I-- I don’t know a lot about babies, but I do know that when you’re craving something, it’s because they need the nutrients in that particular food,” he smiled, clearly proud of himself. “Although I’m not sure what nutrients are in cheese and crackers,” he laughed.

Meschella didn't have to use her ability to know that King was feeling a bit anxious. She knew him well enough to practically hear what he was thinking. Her brand new condition combined with the fatigue and slight dizziness she'd just experienced would understandably worry him and she would do what she could to try and reassure him that she would be okay.
"I don't know much about them either, truthfully. It's a good job we're a pair of bookworms." Meschella grinned. "But cheese at least has protein? And it's yummy. It has the good for the soul nutrient" She joked, in hopes she could lighten the mood a little more.
Yes, as soon as she got some food in her and took a shower, she knew she would feel better. Maybe later she could look some articles up on the internet to ease their minds.

King smiled and let out a sigh of relief when Meschella joked about the cheese. He knew he had to get his anxiety under control, especially if he was going to support her the way she needed him to.
"Alright love, will you please sit down here and allow me to go get your snack? Would you like something to drink?"
He was doing his best not to insist that she stay where she was. After all, if she chose to go with him, he would simply stay as close to her as possible so he could catch her if she became dizzy.
"Meschella, my love, I-- I can't explain this feeling. I have everything I've ever wanted and I'm so terrified that-- that the universe will realize there's been a mistake. I don't deserve you. And I certainly don't deserve more. I have to protect you."
@mischievousreverie
A giggle tumbled out of Meschella's mouth as he asked her to stay where she was so that he could take care of getting her what she needed. "Loki…" She was about to protest but trailed off when he said her name.
As he expressed how he was feeling, her face softened and grew a bit more serious, though the smile remained. She pulled back to look at him, brushing a strand of dark hair from his face. "The universe doesn't make mistakes, we both know that. What's meant to happen, happens. And there's not much we can do to change it."
Meschella did understand his worry though, she would be lying if she said she didn't feel a bit anxious about the baby. But she couldn't dwell on it, she had to believe everything would be okay.
"Now listen." She cupped his face in her hands. "I don't wanna hear anything more about you not deserving something from that stupid, handsome mouth of yours. You deserve everything good that comes your way. Especially our little one."
