Human relationships are strange. I mean, you are with one person a while, eating and sleeping and living with them, loving them, talking to them, going places together, and then it stops

One of my absolute favourite things non vegans say is probably “I hate when vegans try and convert meat eaters, we don’t try and make them not be vegan!” Like excuse me, what?
Do you know what it’s like for your parents to try and force feed you animal products because they just think you’re being difficult?
Do you know how it feels for so called friends to ask for you to “just chill out and eat normal” as to not make going out “a hassle”?
Do you know what it’s like for doctors who know dick all about nutrition to just instantly assume you’re feeling unwell because you don’t consume animal products and implore you to start doing so again without even exploring the possibility it could be something else?
Do you not see how inescapable advertisements for dead animal and their secretions are? How attacking they are? Telling people that “if they don’t eat chicken there’s something wrong with them” and depicting someone having their house burnt down because they are morally against eating Lamb?
Like how fucking naive are you to think that literally every aspect of this society isn’t trying to encourage us to continue participating in the exploitation and systematic murder of animals.
Go fuck yourself.
Hey Emily! So I know that dairy is bad for you but why exactly? People also argue to me that yoghurt is good coz of probiotics and stuff.
- contains casein, a protein which has been proven to be the most potent cancer-promoting substance ever discovered- contains saturated fat which as you probably know can lead to high cholesterol and heart disease- contains lactose, which 70% of the human population is intolerant to because our bodies stop producing the enzyme lactase (which breaks lactose down) after we ween off of our own mothers milk. We are not supposed to drink milk once we have stopped breast feeding.- contains naturally occurring hormones including estrogen, which will mess with your own hormones and is a leading cause of acne- contains blood and pus from infected mammary glands of abused cows. They are hooked up to machines day in, day out which is a huge strain on their body and often causes the udder’s to become infected and ooze blood and pus. You can’t see it because it’s heavily diluted (and also because pus is the same colour as milk), but it’s there more often than not.- contains antibiotics, due to the fact that farmers have to constantly feed them to cows to prevent infection and stop the spread of disease throughout their tight living quarters. This ends up in your milk and kills off your extremely important digestive flora, leading to so many problems I can’t even begin to tell you them all (your gut is the centre of your health and when it’s out of balance, shit goes way wrong. But basically it can cause everything from yeast infections to depression)- overall, your body treats milk as an acidic, toxic substance (it reacts to the proteins casein and whey), and tries to get rid of it as fast as it can. In order to keep your blood at a neutral pH, calcium is leeched from your bones. So you aren’t absorbing any of the calcium in milk either… you’re losing more than you gain x
