between a kitsune who more than often brought warmth across his face and a woman who spoke in ways that frightened the sage a bit too much, the situation was far too uncomfortable. but he was the leader, trusted with responsibilities and looked up to ( at least the sense of the word, because not only he saw no reason for strangers to look up to him, but he couldn’t imagine why anyone would ). but he was the leader, as he had been the ‘ leader ‘ of many swords, his swords, and the saniwa had showed exceptional strategies and leadership skills after so long fighting against the retrograde army.
if he was given a duty, a task to accomplish, then there was no time to feel awkward or uncomfortable, no time to weep and be the usual reserved kid he had always been upon meeting with others. ❛ i’m sure we can make of most things a weapon if we think outside the box. we don’t know what we are about to find either, but since we seek the same goal… ❜ a hesitant biting on his lips, for such words kamui never thought he would speak to strangers. ❛ … i would like you both full cooperation. ❜
all that was left to do was, as mizu had said, to get moving as fast as possible —— the walls might not speak to him, might not whisper secrets and the right path for him to take, but the saniwa was not an entirely dependent man. he looks closely around him, for traps and the like, leading closely ahead —— to soon, without warning beforehand, the trio is hoisted into the air by a rope net perhaps too perfectly hidden beneath them. it startles the boy, uncomfortable beyond reason with the position in which he is now found; and, too, with such close proximity with people he ( no matter which pretty words he would spit at them ) not at all trusted.
❛ t——that… ❜ had been unexpected, but the aftershock doesn’t allow the sage to speak. his surroundings are cramped, and there’s little - if not any - space to move and adjust. they had just started, and yet—— ❛ … i was expecting something else from this maze, but… isn’t a rope net a bit too cliche? ❜ perhaps, but it wasn’t time to mock it at all. ❛ are you two alright? ❜
@tooriyo!
They nodded, smiling as they always have. Whether incompetent or not, they all had to work together to get out of this labyrinth. Surveying the weapons their team had, there wasn’t a single doubt in mind that indeed, all of these could be actually used as weapons. Pretty much anything can if you put your mind to it, actually. But alas, unlike the other two, Kiretsu’s weapon was… slightly inconvenient, to say the least. This was supposed to be used to collect dust, definitely not suited for a battle of any kind. It was heavy to carry too, what did humans even do to make this so-called machinery…?!
Following after the team leader, Kiretsu found it to be rather suspicious how nothing had popped up yet. No monsters, traps, falling statues, etcetera. So definitely, if they were to move one step closer to the door at the end of the hall, something would be triggered. It wasn’t possible for them to have an easy trip from the get-go. Copying the other, they also scanned the area for any possible traps, hidden passages and the like, but the one direction they hadn’t looked… above them.
Before they knew it, they found themselves in a rope trap, along with their fellow teammates. Really, how inconvenient, and irritating! If they had to list one thing they hated off the bat, it was an invasion of personal space. Kiretsu’s always smiling face had been replaced with obvious discomfort and annoyance. They held their tongue though, they couldn’t be swallowed by negative emotions just yet.
“I’m fine, to say the least. Anything goes in this labyrinth, so we should at best be prepared for everything to come, even if it is a cheesy coincidence like this.”

Immediately Mizu wanted to shouted words that would be considered the worst possible in her demon language, though barely holding her tongue as she forced to be uncomfortably close to the males...just great. A rope trap?! seriously?! Did they have nothing better?! And these...theses...guys! Were trying to make light of the situation even though they were just as uncomfortable as she, but perhaps less so. This wasn’t clever, this wasn’t a trick, hell it was hardly a trap. All they had to do was cut the stupid rope and they would be free, though not being the leader Mizu saw it not in her place to shout orders at the males, or shout in general. There was not any doubt she was getting frustrated with this, they were hardly a few minutes into this defective dungeon crawling test and they all already fell for something simple.
“Are you kidding me?!” Mizu shouted as the trap sprung catching the three. “I am fine, but if we do not get out of this quickly someone is going to get kicked! I am NOT OK with this!” Calm down Mizu, calm down. “Urg...sorry i just...i don’t like being close to people, alright so what do have that can cut the rope? I don't have my swords so i can’t do anything...hey, so called leader, think you can try cutting this damn thing with your weapon? It’s the only thing i can think of right now.”
More than likely that was not going to work, it was just a letter opener anyways. Maybe they could use a mix of all the weapons, but that was a long shot and more than likely a way to break their only means of survival. Sadly Mizu was not able to craft a potion to freeze the rope, she had been stripped of her ingredients, vials, even her pouch to boot. Mizu was useless in this situation, it was very uncomfortable and the feeling of gloom creeping up on her wasn’t making this any better, and it was WAY to warm.
