Freakshow Pomni kinda reminds me of an insect.

I imagine that her wooden exterior acts like an exoskeleton to protect her innards while also just giving her body overall support and anchoring her muscles together. Also her limbs are segmented, particularly at the joints such as the elbows, knees, wrists and fingers.
