Why should you get a Pixie cut once in your life?
To be clear, having a pixie cut takes a huge amount of courage and determination. In a society where long silky hair is one of the most important aspects in women’s beauty, deciding to chop it off is a risky move if you’re not confident about your decision.
Like relationships and food you never heard about, you are never certain unless you try it. At least, once.
My first time was after a breakup. Yes! Women tend to change appearance after a bad relationship, and good for us because it gives us the feeling that you are trying something new, that you’re not the same girl as yesterday, the world is you oyster. Go get it girl.
The thing is, I was also inspired by the fashion trend of the 50’s. Personally, I had the feeling that a pixie cut could give you a femme fatale look instantly with a little red lipstick. I had regained a load of confidence after freeing myself from the modern beauty standards; people would call me crazy, claiming “men preferred women with long hair”. That assumption wasn’t completely false, but the men I was interested in, were the ones that could see me with that pixie, and think that I had a fire inside me that they couldn’t wait to discover.
To give you a hint of what kind a person you should be for the pixie, I made a little list of preferred features:
· You’re always too lazy to fix your hair, so you are Miss Ponytail all the time.
· You want to have an edgy look but don’t want to spend tons of money on your wardrobe.
· You’re mostly someone who likes to bring the attention to her eyes by makeup.
· To go out or freshen up after a long day you like to apply a flashy lipstick on the go.
· You like to take maximum 15 minutes in the morning to get ready out of the shower.
· You want to discover how pretty your cheek bones can be.
· You want to stand out in a crowd naturally.
· You want to be low maintenance when you travel.
· During summer, you don’t want to be hot all the time.
· You want to save money on hair products and shampoo.
· You want to look like you are confident and fun.
If you answered ‘’Yup’’ to most of the reasons listed, you may be a good candidate.
